Tripp Landscaping

These people are so arrogant and rude! There is no such thing as customer service. The customer is wrong and they think they are superior and know everything. Not sure how they are still in business.

Mark Tripp came to my house in March of 2020 to talk about a large project. Planting beds, mulch, shrub removal, replacement, etc. Said we would have a bid in a couple of weeks. I called to follow up 3 weeks later. No response. No bid, no call, no nothing. This is not the first time. they behaved similarly several years ago, but finally did the work, which was good. I was hoping for a better experience this time, but instead of being better, they were worse. I ended up doing most of the work myself.

Since buying our home a few years ago we have dealt with several businesses in the Springfield area. I can't say enough about Tripp Landscaping. They are by far the nicest business we've had work done from. As far as landscaping they do a great job of designing and select plants that work. The key with them is they try to use local plants or at least ones that do well in the area so you know the plant you get from them will flourish and survive. Jake has done several plans for us and he has a great eye for design. Barb is always great to talk to and get me the information I need. I highly recommend them

I sent an email on May 21st 2020. They replied immediately so I was "ok, good sign." I replied the same day with an explanation of what we needed done as per her request. A week later, I receive a call from Barb Trip asking me to give the same information I gave in the email, and she told me someone would contact me by the end of the week to come look at our property and discuss our options.

Nobody called. I knew they were busy, so I thought I would give them some time. Exactly two months after my initial contact, I email Barb Trip and she was super apologetic. I am pasting her response here: "Laura, I am soooo sorry! I'm not sure how you were missed! All I can do is tell you that we are sorry, and have someone contact you either today or tomorrow!

I know I put your name in our incoming call book, with your phone number. I'm so sorry that you didn't get a call back. I will give this information to Tyler, who this week is working actually on a big patio job in Loami, and he's in and out of the office. I'll ask him to contact you very soon! Again, this isn't how we do business and I can only say I'm sorry that somehow you got missed.

Thanks for giving us another opportunity to work with you!" So I replied and said "sounds good." Two days later I email her back letting her know that nobody contacted me. It's been almost two weeks and she has not replied and, of course, nobody contacted us. She said "that is not how we do business" but you know what they say: "the way you do anything is the way you do everything." VERY DISAPPOINTED

Had an idea, looked up the plant on line, decided to try it, called Tripp! I had the plants it in the ground the next day! Great help, friendly people, thumbs up

Tripp Landscaping built a retaining wall for us four years ago. Recently we noticed that one corner of the wall had pulled away several inches. We called Jake, and he sent a crew to repair the wall at no charge! We were really impressed that Tripp Landscaping still stood behind their work four years after the original job was done.

They did landscaping in our front yard it is excellent it has held up and still weed free

We get that landscaping projects are on the rise right now, and they are busy, but the fact that they don't even have 5 minutes in a single day to return a phone call is unprofessional. We reached out to them a week and a half ago about a landscaping renovation project, and beyond a very brief follow up the next day just wanting to verify our address & to tell us someone would be in contact within a few days, it has been radio silence since.

We understand that they are busierthan usual this year, and thus were not going to be able to come out right away, but that they can't even be bothered to return a message - even if it's to say "hey, so sorry, but we're too busy right now to talk new projects" - is unacceptable. Every other landscaper we contacted, even though some were already booked out through fall, were able to get back to us.

That Tripp Landcaping can't even be bothered to make one measly phone call says all we need to know about their respect for customers. We put them on our short list of landscapers to reach out to because they came highly recommended by someone we trust, but obviously in this instance they were very wrong.

Jake is great to work with, and always stays in contact about updates with a project. The plans and mock up pictures are great to see. My landscaping was finished today and I couldn't be happier with the result!

Just had our landscaping done and we are so pleased. Very professional. Our yard was a mess and now it is stunning. They quoted U.S. A time when they could start and were even quicker starting than expected.

Jan, the designer, was wonderful to work with. She came out promptly after we called, listened carefully to what we had in mind and what we wanted to spend, and came up with a lovely design within a week. Not only did she provide a scaled drawing, but also a photograph of our home "digitally enhanced" with all of the plants she planned to use. She figured the contract with and without installation costs, and the installation charges were reasonable. The crew that did the installation was also excellent. The three guys were friendly and professional, and they worked quickly and diligently, completing the project in a timely manner. The results were above our expectations. We will definitely use Tripp Landscaping for future projects!
