A Michigan native who got to Texas as soon as he could, Proton founder Ryan Maresch has created an enterprise that combines his 16 years interest in all-things-electrical with a 40-year passion for life. Ryan established Proton in 2007. He is a licensed master electrician who began his career in Austin, Texas beginning eight years of training as an apprentice then journeyman electrician.
Ryan's jobsite motto, "If it's not neat, it's probably not safe, " is a guide for all Proton team members. As a result, they work to match his energy, integrity and attention to detail on all their electrical contracting and repair assignments.

Ryan answered any questions I had about what I needed and did just a outstanding job. I have used Proton Electric in the past at a former company I was employed at and every job he did was nothing less than outstanding. Knowledge, professionalism, and a great attitude are present with every job he has done for me.

I wish I could give Russell a 10+ star review. Even though they had their schedule full, he managed to showed up the same day I called. He is a very professional tech and a person to trust. He came and fixed the main issue I called in for, something that a previous electrician worked on before. Because I liked how efficient Russell was, I asked him to come back the next day to work on other things that needed to be fixed.
I also want to give Ryan a 10+ star review. He is a very, very helpful person, and does not make it seem like a financial transaction. I can tell that this company value their customers.

In my profession as a real estate broker and property manager, I have worked with numerous electricians. I have found that Ryan and the Proton Electric crew are far and away the most personable and professional electricians in East Texas. Their knowledge and guidance have proved invaluable for me and made my work easier. I highly recommend.

I can honestly say that working with Proton Electric was the best experience I've ever had with anyone working at my house and I have had a lot of work done as we live in a historic home. Ryan is very professional, fast, and fair priced. He helped me get my garage on to two extra circuits because I was blowing fuses left and right. He actually taught me a lot about wiring which was fun. Also, he fixed a bunch of stuff that was not done properly by previous electricians. AND, he didnt charge me extra! 5 Stars!
