Satoshi and his wife Marcia were able to take my rough, hand-drawn sketch for a tv console with shelf and matching desk, and translate it to an elegant, timeless piece of furniture that turned our fragmented living room into a seamless space. It is not only the impeccable craftsmanship that we will continue to enjoy every day, but it was great fun working with them to conceptualize and agree on a final design. I didn't have unlimited budget, and Marcia was able to help me determine where we could lower costs without sacrificing quality. Highly recommended.

I worked with Marcia and Satoshi on an office project for a client in downtown Honolulu. They did an outstanding job of transforming the the existing 80's laminate counter tops into live-edge monkeypod counterparts. We love our beautiful monkeypod slab dining table. We were recommended to contact Marcia & Satoshi by our friends and we are very happy to have found them. First, Marcia came over to our house to get a feel of our home and decor. Satoshi and Marcia then came up with some designs. We appreciated their attention to detail and the time and focus they put to our project. Needless to say, we were stunned by Satoshi's craftsmanship. I believe he is one of the very few furniture makers who are able to build fine furniture.

We recently renovated our kitchen and dining areas. We were searching for a new dining table that would match the new wood flooring and decor. After looking at the many dining tables at all the local furniture companies, we found only veneer table tops that felt cheap. I could not find a solid hardwood table that would fit the new dimensions of the new dining area and could comfortably accommodate eight people.

Through a referral from a happy client, I contacted Satoshi Woodworks and was pleasantly greeted by Marcia, who arranged a personal visitation to our home with Satoshi. They saw our new renovations to fully understand what we wanted and took exact measurements to ensure the table would perfectly fit our dining area to comfortably accommodate everyone sitting at the table.

He offered to create a George Nakashima designed dining table to address my desire for comfortable leg space (not hindered by the table legs). The table was absolutely strong and sturdy. It was clean looking and smooth. My guests had nothing but compliments. Most importantly, it felt like a dining table that will last for many years and would be a great centerpiece for our open dinning/kitchen area. It was a pleasure working with Marcia and Satoshi. They take pride in their work to a level of pure perfection.

We had a couple of tables made for our home in Kahala. The 8 foot monkeypod slab dining came out really nice and Satoshi has far exceeded my expectation on quality. We appreciate your fine craftsmanship. We will cherish the tables for many many years to come!

He produces the highest quality and most beautifully made custom pieces I have seen and he makes each piece exactly to his clients' specifications. The pieces are of the utmost quality and craftsmanship. I expect our pieces will last a lifetime and beyond.

Thus far my husband and I have purchased custom bookshelves, a custom dining table and custom cabinets from Yamauchi Woodworks. All EXACTLY what we wanted/envisioned. Our tastes are more contemporary/modern/clean (vs "Hawaiiana") and we were having a VERY hard time finding anyone locally that could/would make our style of furniture. I am sure Satoshi can produce pieces in many styles, but I can attest to the fact that he is expert at the kind of style we prefer.

We plan to have Satoshi make more custom pieces for us in the future. I am interested in seeing what he does with reclaimed wood, as I like the contemporary "rustic" look as well. Ava
