Today's Energy Store

Please consider having this company install your solar. They recently installed rooftop solar for us in Las Vegas and we are very pleased. Bill, salesman, gave us an honest and competitive bid plus he was very knowledgeable, explaining the system and the process. All required permits and inspections were arranged quickly and the installation was fast, less than one day. The technicians really know what they're doing! All we had to do was turn on the switch (and write a check)!

I recently had solar installed by today's energy store. Two days ago I was having power surges. I called Marc and he came out on memorial day. Figured out the problem. Which was due to nv energy. But he was able to get NV energy out to my house on a holiday and get the problem fixed. He was very prompt and helpful. I am really glad I went with a honest, helpful and prompt company!

I had to reroof my home so I needed my panels removed and reinstalled. Called the original installer, but was very uncomfortable talking to them. Marc Hale was just the opposite and I am glad I went with them. His crew was very fast, friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

After interviewing several solar installers I decided upon SunPower Today's Energy Store. I chose them after several discussions with Marc Hale who was honest and transparent regarding the whole installation and financing process. After some additional research I concluded that SunPower had the best product, warranty and monitoring system. Their panels have the highest efficiency. Marc and Justin were on time and professional and addressed any concerns I may of had quickly.

It took approximately 3 days for the entire install which went smoothly. I also appreciated the concern they showed for their workers safety who were up on the roof in the hot summer.

Working with this company was incredible easy and transparent. There is a lot of misinformation around solar in the market, how it works, net metering, etc. Marc took the time to break it all down and show me how it works. I had done a lot of research and chose them because of the SunPower panels, as well as the service and communication with the office. I highly recommend them if you're considering a solar company.

The installation went fairly well however they felt it necessary to upgrade my electrical service to 200 amps. My breaker box is located on the outside of the home in the rear of the building. They removed the old box then chiseled out an area large enough to accommodate the new box. They surrounded it with some type of thin plaster which deteriorated within a few weeks.

I told Bill of this development and he assured me that they would send someone out to repair the plaster. I spend a lot of time away from home for work so after a month of travel I would return to find that the work had not been completed. I would contact Bill again and he would apologize then promise the repair would be done the next day. I would go out of town only to return to find nothing had been done.

The cycle repeated over and over and over until I realized they got my money and they would not be providing any addition service or support. All I wanted was that they finish the job right and I couldn't get that no matter how hard I tried. Eventually Bill no longer responded to my pleas to finish the job. Truly disappointing.

On Friday I noticed my panels were not producing as much energy as the month before on my Sunpower app. Before I even had a chance to call them, they contacted me Monday morning because they noticed it too. Austin their technician came out the same day and repaired the problem which turned out to be only some loose wires. No charge! Great customer service.

Overall, I'm pleased with the results of my installation. There were some hiccups, but they were rectified for the most part. Unfortunately 1/3 of my panels stopped producing power in June, and it took a month to get them back online. I received no alerts or notifications regarding the fault with my system. Sunpower has told me there is no guarantee of production, despite Marc specifically telling me there was.

When the original salesperson came to my home to discuss their product, I was told they were "the Mercedes Benz, " of solar companies, and they would be right with me every step of the way. Unfortunately Sunpower has not quite lived up to this description, though that is not the fault of Today's Energy Store. I have been informed that it's my responsibility to monitor my system for a fault, and I will not be compensated for this month of down time.

Of course, Sunpower and their installers can see all of my micro-inverters in their portal when they bring up my system. However, for some unknown reason Sunpower has decided this information should not be shared with system owners. I am forced to rely on an alert system within the monitoring portal. If there is a fault I should get an alert, however no such alert was raised.

I have 22 panels. 7 were down, so the obvious drop in production caused me to investigate. But what if I lose a single inverter? How will I know? Production varies by day, so it won't be obvious, I can't rely on Sunpower to alert me to the problem, and they don't allow me to see my micro-inverters in the portal despite having the ability to do so.

I was also informed that sharing information regarding the function of my inverters is at the discretion of my installer. I can call them and ask, but they don't have to tell me. I'm not feeling very "Mercedes Benz" about Sunpower right now, other than the price premium we pay for their product over their competitors. Maybe Marc will have more success rectifying my issue than I have had myself. At that time I will revise my rating. For now, I'm just disappointed.

Bill Douglas and his team provided me outstanding worry free service from the comprehensive sizing/production estimates to the well done timely installation and activation. The sizing is perfect for my current part time residency and will add panels later when I become a permanent resident. Bill coordinated all the paperwork with my HOA and Nevada Electric.

The monitoring of panel performance throughout the day is great. I am very pleased and thankful for Bill and the Energy Store Team for the fabulous job they did for me. I look forward to purchasing the Power Wall in late 2020.

The owner and lead salesman were knowledgeable and professional. After signing the documents my system was installed within a month. The workers were professional, courteous, and did a great install. They ran into an unforeseen problem with my roof, fixed it, and finished the install.

We researched many solar companies in the area and found this one to provide the most benefits for the best price. Bill was very helpful and professional and explained the process in detail. The installers showed up when they said they would and finished the job amazingly fast and left no trace of work on the job site. Very clean. Bill kept us up to date as well on the scheduling. We had their solar panels installed a little over a year ago and everything has been exactly as promised. Power bills were virtually eliminated and we got to take advantage of all tax credits reducing the out of pocket expense.
