Very professional and quick. The quality of the work was impeccable and the painters were really knowledgeable. They took care of covering/protecting the furniture which makes it easy on the homeowners. Sure hope your painters are more careful on the job then on the road. I witnessed one of your vans driving very aggressively on I35 south of Ames this morning-tailgating, speeding, using offensive hand signals. Iowa plate number HKE 898 Polk County. Might be worth it to have a chat with this driver before he puts your business at risk.

Very satisfied with the paint removal and new paint. As a new homeowner I appreciated Dale and his recommendations and advice.

JC Toland painted 3 medical carts that were starting to rust for our company. They assured me that they would, "Sand to prep rust, prime rust areas, and apply 2 coats of finish." They looked great at first! But after about 6 months the rust started to come in even worse! I contacted the company to ask them to redo it properly. They said that they would but I would have to deliver the carts (the first time they picked up), I agreed.

After several weeks I still had not heard from them when I should drop them off so I asked again when would be a good time. The last message I received from them was 4 months ago, " Our booth is packed at the moment, let me see when some room will be freed up and get back with you." This was a complete waste of $1,400 and time!

I used JC Tolland for roofing and gutters on my house. Any project has its ups and downs and unexpected additional costs; however, communication is key. I have not recieved the final bill, but the estimate was way off. I appreciate Zach's knowledge and initial communication. He was extremely professional and responsive. The roofing team, in the process, let me know that I had a choice to caulk or to add trim to edge the roof and the siding to ensure it wouldn't leak because flashing wouldn't work.

They said caulking goes bad sooner than this trim, so I chose the trim. It was not communicated how much extra this would be. It is now costing me an extra $400 (after I talked them down from an additional $800) to have it painted - and the trim was caulked anyway. So, how was this a better option? A clear way to upsell without all the information.

I would have appreciated knowing the trim was going to be an additional $800 when the issue initially arose. This was the initial cost quoted to me for painting this newly added trim after it was already up. For this additional cost, it isnt very pretty. Caulking would have looked cleaner. I still don't know what the additional plywood has added to the final total, though they were up front that it is in addition to the estimate originally given.

I am bracing myself for this. The actual roof - the shingles - looks nice. My poppies were trampled in the front yard after finally getting them to grow - I they thought they were weeds and they could walk on them. they were green and leafy and there was a path right next to them. Just added salt to the wound.

We had a great experience with JC Toland on the exterior painting of our house, specifically working with Zach and Dale. They provided a detailed quote and plan, worked diligently, and were detail oriented. Dale went above and beyond, helping repair a minor roof issue and cleaning out a dryer vent, in addition to the painting. Thanks for your good work!

It was a pleasure working with this company. From start to finish they were great. We have dealt with many contractors with our new home and they were, by far, the best. I just wish we would have had them do more painting then what we had done. They are responsive, prompt, and honest company. I will be having them do more for us in the future, the only painting company I will ever hire again

Do not trust the positive reviews on here! The only good reviews are from the company's own employees! The painters are strung out, unprofessional and ignorant. Any time I left and came back, I would find them sitting in their truck doing who knows what! I will never allow them to work at my business let alone my home! I went with Peterson Painting and was extremely pleased.

My wife and I had a great experience with JC Toland at a previous house, so we decided to contact them about paining a condo for us before we moved into it. They were professional, responsive, and above all else, thorough. We cannot say enough about how great it was working with them. They are well worth the time and money!

Had my employer known that we would still be dealing with these half wit painters, I think they would have never chosen them for the work. They have ruined landscaping, they have broken exterior lights. They have half finished work two years later. They have left equipment and paint here for months on end. They are unprofessional and rude to others property vendors. I wouldn't hire them personally to paint my nails.

The skill set, the drive, the sheer determination of the crew leaders is a sight to be seen! people may think they know it all but they don't that's just painting this is that gravitational pull that keeps that hunger strong to be better to know more, to be humble! Dale was an excellent painter and took the time to make certain every detail was complete. I am 100% satisfied with the painting job he did. He had to rehang all of my interior doors once they were sprayed and the closets did not go well. Dale stuck with the job and make certain the doors opened smoothly. Great job!

Two of your crew members left a massive mess at the tasty taco location on Mills Civic in West Des Moines Friday the 20th at about 5:30 pm. Learn to clean up after yourself when patronizing other businesses.

Outstanding painter's. Had a 150,000 sq. ft. building and did a nice job on it. They where very fast and looked great when they were done.

Dale and his crew did an outstanding job painting my house. They were punctual and Dale walked me thru every detail before and after the job. Dale painted my house like it was his own. I am very impressed with there customer service. I highly recommend JC Toland Painting!

I have much respect for my Boss. He made this company from his own hands. He started with nuthing and worked hard to get here. I remember cleaning up his mistakes and watching him keep redoing it until it was. right. He wouldnt leave a job until it was perfect. He read books and talked to people and learned everything he could. He treats people with respect and employees he has gave his all to help.

He listened to us about how other companies were treating us and he tries really hard to make it a better place to work. As far as customer service goes we are all held to the highest to do our jobs correctly and maintain good repore with clients. He is a good man with ethics and its been my pleasure to work here. Toland inc is one of. Iowas best painting companies there is! And they take pride in their work they treat their jobs as if it was their home perfectionist work there my son jesse jeffries has worked for jc for many years and we are more then company and employees we are family
