SPS Electric suffers from poor internal and external communication. I requested a bid and scheduled an appointment - the service technician did not follow the schedule. I received the bid and emailed for clarification, the office confirmed the details, but didn't pass the information on to the technician. Some of the work got done, again, almost but not quite as scheduled and without telling me that they were at my home.
When I inspected the work and found that it was not completed as confirmed by email, I was very disappointed. SPS adjusted the invoice total, but didn't seem to notice that the invoice itself called for the junction boxes that didn't get installed. Not the worst service experience I've had, but not impressed either.

Why is it so hard to hire electricians that do what they say they are going to do. I called this company for an estimate. I was told the an estimator would probably call me that same afternoon. Two days later he called. Ok, sometimes people get busy. So next day he comes out and says he's going to email two different estimates. Again two days later I get only one estimate.
I call and as usual the estimator is not available. The receptionist takes my information and says she'll let him know. On the second day (I know 2's are wild!) I call and again he's not around. I finally had enough and told the receptionist that they obviously don't need my money ($3000+ for a one to two day job).

We have been using SPS at our home and business for the last 5 years. Their technicians have always been very professional and pleasant to converse with. They do little jobs from installing plugs to breaker boxes to large commercial work. I have felt that their pricing has always been very reasonable. I would highly recommend anyone needing any electrical work done to give them a shot!
