We had three quotes and Matt's Customs Decks won our business because they are insured, bonded, professional, provided a detailed breakdown of the work and explained the process to us. They added a patio with a electrical outlets, 2 fans and repainted our pool decking to freshen it up. As all of the reviews stated, their team cleaned up their mess before they left and the project manager checked on progress. We are very happy with the work and we are super happy that we chose Matt and team.

I sent them a message inquiring about converting a room in our house into a covered patio. I realize the room would need to be torn down first but was hoping to use the existing roof. I just got a reply that said they don't do that. I've read such great reviews about them so I was really hoping they would at least want more information before being told they didn't do that sort of work. What I need to have done is everything they list that they do.

Had a great experience extending our patio another 400sq ft. Communication and design was great. Great quality work and very responsive. We had a couple of issues occur and they were fixed promptly. We could not be happier with our new outdoor space and everyone that has seen has been very complimentary of the work. As with any contractor, the details are important, from downspout placement to outlets, make sure you communicate ahead of time. Thankfully, these guys are pros and everything came out better than I expected. If you're in the Cypress area, give Matt a call, he will not disappoint.

I wanted to provide a review now that it's been 9 years since I had my patio cover installed. Matt provided a quick estimate and once the work started it was completed in a few days. His team was able to handle the chimney and the drainage as there were a bunch of angles to consider to get it to work. His electricians came on time and installed the two fans, added a power outlet, and a cable TV extension. I haven't had any issues with the cover and appreciate his team's work.

Excellent team with great customer service. We knew the project manager was on top of every detail because he communicated with us - start to finish. Matt, the business owner checked in often and made sure our needs were met. We LOVE our covered patio from Matt's Custom Decks! I'd highly recommend this team to anyone starting their backyard project.

I was interested in a quote for a combination patio cover and carport. Based on the reviews and a neighbor's recommendation, I contacted Matt's Custom Decks. Their office set up an appointment with their representative for the following week. Brandon showed up at the scheduled time, listened to what I was looking for, provided recommendations and indicated an estimate would be sent within a week.
Two days later I received a very promising estimate with most everything we discussed incorporated into it. After reviewing the estimate, I replied to their submittal with approximately 8 clarification questions. After 6 days with no response to my questions, I texted Brandon to confirm he received my questions. He said he did, and would check with Matt.
He then texted back saying I would have their response within one 1 to 2 days. After 10 days with no response, I elected to pursue the work with another contractor. I felt that if they could not respond to some very simple clarification questions for a $22,000 project, then what kind of service and attention would I get after signing a contract with them.
If they were no longer interested in the work, a simple call, text or email saying so would have been appreciated. The only reason my grade is not 0 stars is that they did come to my house at the scheduled time and provided an estimate earlier than promised.

Matt and his team were great to work with. Very responsive to questions, and kept us updated on progress and when things would happen. They kept a clean worksite, and made sure we were happy as things progressed! We paid what I feel was fair for the quality and amount of work done. I would highly recommend MCD to anyone looking for a quality outdoor space!
