Since 2004, FM Home & Patio has built over 700 decks. Josh has constructed over 1500 decks since starting his deck-building career in 1992. Construction projects always struggle to meet deadlines. Low maintenance or maintenance free decks offer many choices of colors and textures but are often not really low maintenance, as they can scratch, stain, or fade easily. Although throughout the past few years this material has improved, the cost is still a great factor.

I have used Josh for several projects ranging from simple wood decks, to beautiful maintenance free decks. Before you check the box for the builder to sub out your deck, get a quote from Josh. We got a 12X12 deck, with better wood, for the same price the builder was going to charge for a 10X10 deck made from pine. Decks have been done in a timely manner and Josh was quick to stop out and take care of a few small issues.

We had a nearly catastrophic event with our deck after just one year of use. The posts were not secured to ANYTHING and had shifted so badly, that 75% of all three of them were just hanging in the breeze. We are thankful that this was discovered before the whole thing collapsed.
