Murnane Carpet & Floor

We recently had Murnane replace all the flooring on the second floor of our house, as well as the staircase. The whole process was fantastic! Linda in the showroom is very knowledgeable and friendly, but not pushy. She helped us pick out some carpet we liked, and ordered some samples for us so we could look at the colors in our house. Once we chose a color she ordered the carpet for us, and although it was backordered with the manufacturer she kept us up to date at every step.

As soon as our carpet was scheduled to arrive, Bob got us on the schedule for installation later that week! The installers were very professional and efficient. They removed and hauled away the old carpet and vinyl flooring, moved the big furniture, and put down the new padding and carpet. They worked on the bedrooms first so we could still sleep in the house overnight since the job took two days. We've lived with the new carpet for a few weeks now and we are thrilled with it!

Purchased vinyl plank flooring from Murnane Carpets four years ago, which they installed in our kitchen and living room. Finally getting to our bathroom remodel, and had them install the same flooring. Both times, they did an excellent job! Thank you, Murnane floors!

When we remodeled our kitchen about 15 years ago, Murnane did a great job of installing a really nice-looking floor in three different colors of Marmoleum. It's tasteful, really it is, but if it's not, that's not their fault because we designed it. In the last few years one of the seams separated due to a water spill from the dishwasher.

They came out and fixed it a couple of weeks ago, and it looks perfect again. (Luckily we'd saved some of the leftover material.) They also replaced some carpeting, which also came out looking lovely. We're consistently impressed by their skill, professionalism, and efficiency.

We just had our carpet replaced with hardwood floors. We had five rooms so it was a rather large job. When we decided to do this my husband searched Yelp to choose a flooring company. Murnane Carpet & Floor kept coming up with the best reviews so that is where we decided to go, and we are very happy we did. They did not disappoint. From the first visit to the store to the completion of the job, it was a great experience. Jeremiah and his crew installed the floors, and they did an amazing job.

We were also very impressed when there was a little mishap and within an hour and a half on a Saturday the problem was remedied. I would definitely recommend them. Their customer service and work were outstanding!

Murnane Carpet and Floor just completed a fabulous (really beyond fabulous!) install in my rental unit. This was my first time working with Murnane, and it was a terrific experience all around. When I walked into their store on 'D' Street in downtown Santa Rosa, Linda was right there ready to listen as I explained my flooring project; she was so patient.

Per my request, she showed me a variety of their in-stock carpet samples to consider (they also have a great selection of carpeting they will gladly order for you). I easily chose a lovely variegated carpeting. As I also needed vinyl for my kitchen, Linda enthusiastically brought out several books offering a wide variety of vinyl for any room. The task of selecting the vinyl was challenging, as they have such a great array of samples. Fortunately for me, they were more than happy to let me take some sample books to my rental in order to help with my decision.

That made it so easy; within 15 minutes I knew which vinyl pattern would make my kitchen look great. Bob then came to measure my rental and answer my questions about the project. The vinyl was ordered (the carpet was already in-stock); Bob advised me of the expected arrival date, and Linda contacted me to confirm the install plans once the vinyl was at their store.

To round out this amazing experience, installer Jeremiah, did a phenomenal job of installing everything within just two days. He has 30 years of installation experience and it really showed in how hard he worked, how skilled he is, and how great everything looked afterward. And he knows how to cove the vinyl, which I had requested. Coving is an art; not everyone knows how to do that.

He did such a perfect job. The entire experience was so positive; I am so happy with the outcome. When my neighbors stopped in to admire the finished product, I was so proud to show how wonderful my place looks. This is a very detailed review, but every aspect of working with Murnane Carpet and Floor was so enjoyable, I have to mention it all. I will definitely visit them for my future flooring needs, and I highly recommend them to anyone who in looking to beautify their home with new flooring.

Murnane Carpet & Floor installed engineered hardwood floors and baseboards on the first floor of my home. Bob was helpful in the selection and purchasing process. He listened to our concerns and provided viable options for our budget. The installers, Michael and Francisco, were courteous, prompt and professional. Michael communicated their progress each day and the home was left clean and organized each evening.

The floor plan would have had some challenges for the average installer or D.I.Y. homeowner. But Michael and Francisco weren't concerned and the end result is beautiful and seamless. We would recommend Murnane Carpet & Floors to anyone looking for an upgrade to their home.

A few years ago we had Bob at Murnane carpet do a rush job replacing some bedroom carpet that was damaged so this year we had him replace all the carpet upstairs and install vinyl hardwoods on the main floor. The installers were great - removing the old flooring and then putting in all the new flooring. Great attention to detail which was much appreciated since we have curved walls which means curved baseboard.thanks so much for beautiful new floors.

Bob and Linda were both very helpful in my recent project of replacing the old carpet in my bedroom with a new engineered wood floor. When shopping for flooring, I also visited one of the big chains, and I found a huge difference in the level of knowledge and service between them. Bob and Linda were much nicer to work with, answered my questions well, and were very accommodating in letting me take flooring samples home to help with my decision.

The chain store told me they could not let me take samples home because. COVID. Which seems silly to me--it's a hard surface, I would think they could just disinfect it when I returned it. Anyways, I was happy to support a local business like Murnane instead! When the original flooring I gravitated toward exceeded my budget, Bob was happy to advise me honestly on how I'd do with some of the more inexpensive options they have available.

Once I decided on everything, the installation guys they sent were friendly, polite, and efficient. They were also able to keep my current baseboards, which I was glad of because they are a little unusual and match the rest of the house. In the end, I'm quite happy with my new flooring, and I would definitely recommend Murnane to anyone else shopping for a new wood floor.

I have used Murnane Carpet in the past for for a rental unit. This time I wanted to upgrade a room in my home to hardwood. I love it! Superior service, the owner, Bob, is a great guy, and his pricing was on par with the big box, zero service stores! The installation crew was excellent, knowledgeable and professional, and extremely courteous, especially with regard to my Covid-19 precautions and concerns. They were even able to solve a long standing squeaky floor issue before laying the new floor. Very pleased and will be giving Bob my business again when needed.

We needed a quality high-end, durable carpet for our new home and that is exactly what we received. Linda and Bob were helpful in assisting and steering me in the right direction. The installation went smoothly, the price was reasonable, and the carpet has held up to the quality and durability we expected.

It has already been tested. We purchased a near white carpet and within a month red wine was spilled on it. We wiped it up immediately and there is no way you could tell the accident happened. I highly recommend Murnane Carpet & Floors!

We have had Murnane put in a number of floors in our cottages (we are a resort in the Russian River area) over the last 4 years. They always do a quality job. Most recently, they just finished a new lobby floor and flroring in our commercial kitchern, ofiice, and storage room. Bob (owner) worked with us to select the flooring. Darrell and Chaz installed it. We were on a tight time schedule that they were able to meet. They did, as always, a professional job. We will continue to use Muranae for all our flooring needs. We have used Murnane Carpet and Floor and worked with Bob and his staff to put flooring in three homes. Our current project is flooring in a fire rebuild. The hardwood installation is topnotch and we can't be happier with how the floors turned out! The communication between Bob and his staff is excellent (and we have used a lot of sub contractors which is usually a nightmare). They even went above and beyond and made a custom rug out of the leftover carpet from our stairs. I would not hesitate to use Murnane Carpet and Floor!

Patience is a strong suit at Murnane. We muddled around for several months before we decided on the carpet, got a couple of other bids and signed a contract, and during this entire time, Bob, Linda and team answered our questions, ordered more samples and communicated with us. They have an amazing selection of wood, and wood-look flooring besides many samples of carpet in various price ranges.

Their price was reasonable, and even before we chose them, their service was outstanding, we knew we would get that same high level of service after the install. We were right. It is obvious that their installers know their business and completed a professional level install. That we were supporting a local business made it even more worthwhile. I highly recommend Murnane.

Our downstairs got flooded in Bodega and it was a mess. Bob had a great selection vinyl flooring that looked fantastic and I didn't have to worry about water damage again. Now it looks better than it ever has! Bob took care of everything and the install was flawless. I've been in contracting business all my life and I would recommend Murnane Carpets to anyone!

The whole staff was patient and professional and I love my floor. They worked to get my bright purple toe kick at a good price. I hate having strangers in my house and Bob's team was polite and respectful and made it totally fine. They were fast and tidy and did a wonderful job. I also really love my marmoleum Pine kitchen floor. It is gorgeous!

Bob and Co recently completed a large job putting both carpet and vinyl flooring in a rental unit we own, the job was done quickly, professionally and without any hassle. one small issue was noticed and corrected immediately. We purchased engineered hardwood from Bob for our whole downstairs and the stairs and upper landing. Bob's prices are excellent, and Janna, who assists Bob, is extremely competent and helpful. Mostly we have been very pleased. We chose a walnut hardwood, which is exquisite. When people enter our home (from friends to repair people), everyone comments on our beautiful floors.

The floor installers were a wonderful father and son team, who were as pleasant as could be. They did a beautiful job! If I had to do it again, I would probably choose another type of wood that does not damage as easily as walnut. I feel this should have been explained to us before we made such a large purchase, which is the only reason for a four-star review instead of a five-star review.

We purchased engineered hardwood floors in August 2016 from Bob Murnane and we couldn't be more pleased! This has been our first experience with refurnishing a house. We had looked at multiple stores before hearing about Murnane Carpet & Floor and we could see the quality of the wood stood out from others. Bob was very patient with us, and provided lots of helpful information about the choices of flooring. We chose an Acacia wood for our living room and dining room and love it so far. The installation was quick and easy, about 2 days. I strongly recommend them!
