Wood is a lot like a sponge. It naturally absorbs water. But wood doesn't absorb water evenly. That's because some areas of wood contain higher amounts of sap than others, and sap prevents water absorption. As wood absorbs water, it swells, and because of differences in sap concentrations, it does so unevenly across the panel. As the wood dries out, it shrinks, again unevenly.

We had Mr. Fence install a 6 ft vinyl fence around our backyard. The fence looks amazing and we have gotten nothing but compliments from all of our neighbors. The installers had the holes for the back portion of my fence already dug. I decided to modify our original plans and go back an additional 2 feet to utilize more of our yard. Their guys were professional about it and just made it happen. I worked with their estimator Scott and the job coordinator Al and I would highly recommend Mr. Fence to anyone looking for a privacy fence company. Jim

More than a privacy fence, I wanted 'peace of mind'. The crew at Mr. Fence provided a professional and stress-free experience. They were patient with me and answered all of my questions. I chose them from recommendations that this company uses great products that match their craftsmanship. Now, I have the 'peace of mind' that my dog can run freely in the backyard with an attractive, strong fence. I can't think of anything they could have done better. I highly recommend!

When my wife and I decided to replace our old vinyl fence with a new wood fence I did a lot of research on fence contractors across the United States. I found Mr. Fence. I knew they were going to be the ones I wanted to work with. Shawn and his crew brought one of their rigs to Denver, Colorado (From Indiana) and did such an amazing job with our fence.
The fence has been in place for four days now and I've had no less than 10 people knock on our door to compliment it. One guy was adamant that I give him Mr. Fence's contact information so that he could get the same fence around his home. Shawn and company further amazed me by inviting other local fence contractors to learn from him how to build this custom fence.

I would not recommend Mr. Fence. They installed a privacy fence for my parents nearly one year ago. It is junk. the back gate has a big gap, boards are warping all over the place. I know quality work, this isn't it. They tried contacting them but could not get any resolution to the problems they installed. It was overpriced as well. It seems they took advantage of an older couple.

Had a full $4,100 privacy fence installed and they did fine. Then later tried to get pricing to install a small fence to separate my yard. The salesperson Scott came to the house to give us an estimate. When I called him several days later, he said he left it on the back patio? Who does this? Who would do this and at least not call and follow up. Weak salesperson.
I told him that I didn't need cedar and asked him to re-price the fence with pine. 7 days later.nothing. I called the office and spoke to a manager (Danny?) who told me that they are busy, but he would have me something back that same day. Still nothing 4 days later. I understand this is a small job, but if they don't want to do it, they should just say so, Very unprofessional. Moral of the story, don't bother with them unless you plan on spending several thousand dollars or they just wont talk to you.

After quotes from three companies selected Mr Fence because quote was professional. They promised and knew we were wanting fence to protect small dogs. First they put one side on backward which they corrected by putting another fence in front of it. Then after they left we discovered large gaps at bottom of fence. Now we have to hire someone to come and put dirt around new fence to keep dogs in.
Finally they charged my card without authorization from me. When I called the receptionist said they couldn't have charged my card because they destroyed the number and information after they charged the initial deposit. Later she called back to apologize that indeed they had kept my original card number and their sales manager had charged the remaining balance. Buyer beware they have a slick website but these people do not deliver and are very pricey.
