Excel Roofing

As follow up to an earlier review (last week), I am writing this to retract my poor rating. The company has immediately followed up with phone calls and a diagnosis of our roof problem! Emily and the crew who arrived were excellent in every way! They spent 2 hours examining the roofing and identified the problem - not on the roof but the siding of the house. Their effort was fantastic and they simply would not stop until they located the source of our leak. Many thanks and my apologies for an earlier poor review. Steve P.

Excel has been punctual, attentive and professional. I got a tech out to my place quickly, my quote came quickly and was reasonable, and on par with the insurance quote. I haven't used them yet for the roofing job but will update when i do. Great service so far.

I needed a minor repair and knew exactly what needed to be done (replace exhaust pipe boot). A 1 hr job! These guys sent out someone not to actually do the repair, but to take pictures. Then I got what seemed to me to be an unreasonably high estimate. When I called to ask (politely) about the cost and to get a breakdown of material/labor prices, the office person refused to provide a cost breakdown and became defensive, accusing me of wanting to shortchange their workers. I went with another company who got the repair done next-day and charged me half of what Excel quoted.

After thoroughly researching roofing companies in Wilmington, NC, I chose Excel Roofing and am so happy that I made the right choice. Their crew installed our new roof on the two hottest, most humid days of 106 heat index, working from am until almost dark. They worked very hard in spite of the heat and came back for a third morning to clean up our property perfectly.

All the arrangements were made so easily with Emily Leonard, a lovely, young woman who answered all my questions very pleasantly. It was Emily who helped me to decide on Excel Roofing because I felt very comfortable working with her on timing of installation and on our payment. I highly recommend this roofing company!

Fantastic experience with Excel for a flashing correction and leak fix that another roof company left me with. Tim was knowledgeable and professional getting out my quote and coordinating the work. The repair crew that came, led by Froilan, was awesome. They showed me every step of the way what had been done to remediate the problem, as well as the before work and explained why it wasn't correct. The crew was great and worked as a team. The arrived precisely on time each day and each day when they left, all of the debris was gone. When the job was finished, they again cleared all of the debris and swept the yard magnetically to remove stray nails. The roof looks great and I highly recommend this team to install a GAF roof with its 50 year warranty and guarantee.

We used Excel for total roof replacements on two houses. One home was shingle and the other was an ocean front home with aluminum roofing. Both looked great. They were very timely and responsive. Easy to work with and gave me grace when it took me forever to pick out shingle/ metal roofing colors. Would highly recommend!

Excel replaced a roof for a dear friend of mine which had major damage from the storms that we get here in NC. I was very impressed with their ability to help the community by offering this roof for free to our first responders. I was also impressed with the job and amount of time it took the crew (whom was also very nice). They had the old roof off, new plywood put on and roof completed in the same day. It looks amazing! If anyone needs anything roofing, they are definitely the ones to go to! Thanks again for everything!

Excel roofing installed a very complex fortified roof at our beach cottage. This application had to be done with the utmost care, and under the supervision of a licensed evaluator. After interviewing other roofing companies, it was apparent they were not willing or competent to undertake this installation. Excel offered the most competent and professional presentation and installation. We could not be more pleased with this company, particularly in our dealing with Madeline and Yani. You cannot go wrong with this company. Five stars across the board.

We bought our home three weeks after Excel Roofing completed a new roof. Sounds great right. Read on for the cautionary tale of of how Excel "cares for their customers" It all started when I spoke to Chelsie at Excel, she accepted & acknowledged the warranty change of ownership over the phone. They came out to inspect and began repairs but ceased repairs and left us with an expensive, wet, leaky roof.

My best advice after 13 years in Wilmington, don't even think about calling this company unless you have unlimited patience, time, money or you are a lawyer. They are the worlds greatest company for overpromising and under delivering (actually not delivering at all). But if you do decide to call here are a few tips 1. Do not believe a word they say, get it in writing, document every interaction, record every phone call. 2.

They actually don't accept warranty claims unless they are in writing, so get your certified mail ready. Read the warranty fine print for all the ways and reasons they will not fix your roof. 3. Get some buckets for your "new" leaky roof 4. Pray for a nice insurance adjuster when water infiltrates your home. 5. Make sure you like calling them, over and over and over and over again without a call back. "Warranty" "(I use that word VERY generously because it doesn't actually cover anything) is a joke.

After over 50 phone calls, they came to fix the three year old roof they installed and the photos below show how they left it. We are reasonable, patient people who have tried everything we can to just have them finish the job they started but I guess that's asking too much. There are great honest, trustworthy roofers in this town, unfortunatly Excel Roofing is just not one of them.

Professional fast efficient service, there prices were reasonable. They showed up when they were scheduled to have us written estimates with full color pictures. Allowed flexible payments, and different prices for different warranties you choose. They followed up after the service with processing all the needed paper work. For having to have a large roof project it was a smooth process, I would recommend them.

We were moving from out of state and had received two other quotes that were higher from other roofers in the area. I happened to check reviews for roofers from Wilmington and came upon Excel. Mitchell gave us a good and quick quote that we were happy with and then he had to wait on our closing to go through. Once we closed we reached out to him and he provided a color chart and once we selected the color Excel went to work. Within less than a week the roof was on and when we showed up everything was done for a fair price. They cleaned up the area well also. Very pleased.

Excel Roofing is by far the best when it comes to roofing projects. I especially like the fact that they are prompt, clean, and professional. Erik was our Project Manager and he was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this company. 10 Stars!

I live out in Rocky Point, NC and needed a roofer to come out after our last storm. called three companies they wanted anywhere from $1200to $2300 to fix my leaks. So I found this company on Craigslist Sady answered on the 3rd ring and set up a appointment for the next day and was prompt, very professional, and courteous. He performed an inspection and quoted me $500 to fix it all.

A big thumbs up to Excel Roofing! they were very reasonably priced and Christine was a joy to work with, she answered any questions I had which made my decision easy, very professional! The crew showed up and went right to work without a lot breaks and had the old roof torn off and some bad wood replaced and the new roof on and completed the job that afternoon, they had tarps out to keep things clean and protected, it looks great! They even came out today and put a deverter over the front steps! Thank you Excel!

After I had gotten a couple estimates a friend of mine a construction contractor suggested I contact Sady Escalante at Excel Roofing to install a metal roof on my mobile home and shed. Thant was the best thing that I did. His prices were comparable and he went over everything with me and we settled on a date for installation.

Excel gave me excellent service replacing my roof and gutters, i will differently recommend there company to my family and friends. I'm very satisfied the way my house looks.

We were given an estimate. In detail. Then when they were given the go-ahead. They were here the very next day, prepared and on the job. What amazed me was, they hand-nailed every single Shingle. Not with nail guns. Now THATS Quality work right there. and the site was Spotless when they finished. They came in @ 9:30am and was completed and cleaned up by 5pm.

It is one thing to positively comment on the aesthetics of a well installed roof, but after several months, the roof has performed well through a few storms, and we are still receiving frequent positive comments on the roof's appearance. On the day before Christmas Eve 2015, I noticed a wet spot on ceiling in my home. Even though it was late in the afternoon I called Excel Roofing and Sady was still at the office and took my call. I told him the problem and assured him that because it was Christmas, I didn't expect him to address the issue until after the holidays.

Sady and his guys are amazing and do such great work. They were at the job site early and didn't leave until complete. We do historic renovations in downtown and his team were all positive and on their A game daily.

We got estimates for our roof by alot of people. Some quoting double what we actually paid. Sadi was very professional and included way more than we thought by adding vents and even put back up my dish.

After researching and meeting with 3 roofers, I selected Sady. He is very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions as well as educated me on the various types of metal roofing.
