Customscapes was founded in 2010 in Lincoln, Nebraksa by Justin Brandt and Dan Benzing. Together they have over ten years of experience in the landscaping field. Justin graduated from the University of Nebraska with a bachelor's degree in Horticulture with an emphasis in landscape design.

Dan graduated from Southeast Community College with an Associates of Science degree and is currently working on his Bachelor's degree in Horticulture from the University of Nebraska.Over the years they have learned many new techniques in landscape design and drive to incorporate them into every aspect of the design process.

We chose this company plainly speaking, because it was all we could afford. For the value, I have to say it is worth a 5* rating! We really got a very big bang for the buck we spent, as far as the amount of large trees and area being done. We did have issues with the yard getting torn up, from spinning out with the bobcat, and it ruined our yr old sod.

The crew
lacked a bit with being professional, one or 2 working very hard while others stood around, There was negative talk to us about the boss Justin. So, seems there were some internal issues going on at the time, they had other large projects they were working on, so it was pulling them from our project, and communication wasn't always the best.

At first they weren't going to replace our ruined sod, but with seed, that was not to our liking, since the sod was new. So they did replace with sod. Also, there was a large gap along the fenceline that needed fill and tending to, which they did come back and take care of. Its now been a couple yrs since and we are for the most part pleased with the work that was done, and we realized this was a fairly new company.

Dan and his crew did a phenomenal job on my patio. Their attention to detail and effort to finish timely is hard to come by. I 100% recommend this company and will never go with anyone else. They are very reasonable and the product you get won’t disappoint.
