Very honest with the reality of supply shortage due to pandemic. Work crew was wonderful. Had an excellent experience when BNW Builders designed and build our new deck, complete with dog ramp since our deck is high off the ground and our pups are aging. I want to thank and praise the great team that built the deck. They were here early every day and worked late into the afternoon. They were very nice, friendly, and accommodating! They worked through some very cold mornings in late January/early February.

We want to specifically thank Judd, Paul, Tommy, and Dan for building our new deck! Once the deck was built, Brandon installed the railings all in one day. The railings had been pre-measured, built off site, and then fit to perfection. Tommy, the supervisor, stopped by later that same day to inspect and take photos. The dog ramp is very special and has a little custom-made gate for closing to prevent our much older dog and our grandkids from going down the ramp accidentally.

The deck is very, very well done, and it was easy to see that the entire BNW crew took great pride in the work. Tommy and other BNW team members came back within a week to smooth out the ground under the deck for our equipment storage. They also raked up the hay that was used to prevent too much mud build up, and then put down grass seed to restore our yard to its previous status. Finally, they helped my husband return the heavy picnic table and chairs and the grill to the new deck. BNW replaced the rotting wooden rails on our front porch last year and restored its appearance, and BNW just re-sided my daughter and son-in-law's house in Midlothian, built new porch steps, and put in a new custom window.

I guess we're a BNW family now! In the future, we will need replacement windows and we know who to call. BNW Builders! Thanks again to BNW Builders for the great work and the great service!

These guys are phenomenal. Can't recommend them enough or say enough good things. From David to Wayne to Steve, everyone was as kind and professional as we could have hoped for. I have used BNW for new roof, new windows and new doors. All big projects and from start to finish, you will not find any company more customer centric. Project planning they exhibit patience, undersatdm0ng this is a first time experience for many. Installation top notch, I had the same crew for windows and door, best in the business - You would never know that a renovation took place.

BNW builder's replaced all siding on my home of 21 years. I feel like I have a new home! Quality and workmanship are excellent. It was so nice to work with Steve and Christian, great communication and it was obvious that they wanted a happy customer! And happy I am! Scott Alexander from BNW Builders came to our home to give us an estimate on a door replacement. He was very knowledgeable and explained in detail everything we needed to know about replacing our door, side lights and transom. BNW was recommended to us from a close friend. We ordered the entire unit and a gentleman came to our home to precisely measure the door.

We recently had the unit installed and are thrilled with the way it looks. It's beautiful and not only look fabulous but also gives us a lot of light in our foyer. The installers were very professional and installed it in one day and removed the old unit when they left. We are now recommending them to a close friend of ours. BNW replaced our existing wooden deck with a product from Wolf Decking and Porch which is PVC decking. Outstanding crew from BNW from the sales team to the construction division manager to the foreman and crew to the office personnel. We were kept informed of work to be performed, inspections to be made and the crew cleaned up the property at the end of each work day. The deck and the railing is gorgeous and we are so thankful to have had BNW perform the work. Also the contractor who installed the powder coated rails did an amazing job.

I contracted with BNW for several projects: 1) to change my siding for new vinyl siding, 2) to change my old wooden windows to new vinyl windows, and 3) to install new gutters with leaf guard. I'm very satisfied with their work. They were quick and very professional and did a very good job in the three projects. The salesman was willing to help me find the products I needed and gave me a competitive price.

They assigned me a project manager that was very friendly and always available to me by cell phone and kept me up to date with the timing of the project. The manager in the store was always very polite and helped me to expedite the work just in time before a family event. I would recommend them and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

I shopped around and got quotes from the other big specialty gutter companies. I live under numerous large oak trees so when I built the house 20 years ago, I wasn't going to be constantly cleaning gutters and there wasn't a product such as Gutter Shutter, so I never had them. BNW was not the cheapest but the product that they offered was in my mind the best in quality and engineering.

They were up front with all the details of the product and when they would be able to install. They were very prompt and professional in every aspect (sales, quote to installation). The installation crew were polite and very concerned that they installed my new gutters to my satisfaction. The next day after installation, it monsooned and the gutters worked even better than I had expected. Worth the money and the company.

From start to finish with this process, I can't stress enough how pleased my family has been with BNW Builders. From the initial consultation with Jimmy, to our post-install wrap up with Tommy, we can only hope that other customers received as wonderful of an experience as we did. Jimmy did an excellent job of building the value of the products. Not only did he convince me to upgrade to Ascend, but he also talked me into adding the trim package as well.

A regrettable roofing experience. When issues were reported after 2 weeks with flashing, shingle curl, drip edge and cleanup, I got an e-mail asking if someone could come out for an inspection. I have been waiting since Oct 9.

Sales guy that showed up was very professional and knowledgable about his products. I opted to go with an upgraded door replacement on front of our house. 16 months in and door looks weathered and hardware is pealing. Had a few guys laugh when i told them what i paid for the new door. Unfortunately Warranty was only 12 months from date of manufacture.

Had our front and side doors replaced about six months ago. Picked BNW after reading on-line reviews. Also got Larry the sales rep who went into great detail about how fantastic the company was and gave us the high pressure sales thing--if we commit right then, we'll get 20% off, etc. We usually get that with RVA contractors, so didn't completely turn us off and we booked the job.

The doors are fine (so far), which they don't make, but six months later we are still waiting for our original door hardware, which included very expensive locks. Larry wrote this down on our contract, and will occasionally respond to an email or phone call with "they are still looking". But, obviously that ship has sailed. Is it worth going to court? We are debating, but we certainly won't be using BNW again.

I had BNW install a brand new deck for our home and have had nothing but problem. Immediately after the deck was completed I contacted the person in charge to let him know of my concerns about the wood and was sent an email telling me this is normal. I was told I had approximately 3 months to have the deck shellacked. This was unable to be done because we were noticing large splits all over the deck.

The boards started to raised up, nails were popping out and we clearly realized this was a shotty job. We were told by the sales rep Larry that this was the best wood to use but clearly it was not or we were lied to about the wood. I have made numerous attempts to reach out to someone to repair these issues and all we got was someone come by and change a few nails.

We are really disappointed with BNW, its work and professionalism. The most professional person was the lady who took numerous messages that she said were being passed on to the owner. A few pieces of wood were left in my backyard because the gentleman that came to fix it even said that what he saw was much more than he would be able to repair that time.

We have numerous pictures of all the defects of this deck from the beginning to now. By the way this deck was installed over 6 months ago. At this point we feel we need to take further action. The initial sales rep Larry made us believe BNW was a great company ans cared about their customers but clearly this is not true.

Dear Bruce, I just wanted to say how happy my family and I are with the new windows, roof, siding and gutters w/the gutter guard. We were very impressed with your employees. They were all very professional. Every single concern we had you addressed immediately. The DURAPLANK siding is very well made and looks great on our home. The windows are well worth the money we paid for them.

If you want the BEST, call BNW! Everyone with BNW is very professional and was great to deal with from start to finish of this project, which is our second big endeavor with BNW. They fully covered our back deck this time and made it look as if it were built with our house. They installed a new garage door and custom iron screen door. Once again, they did amazing quality and really showed attention to all the details. Workers were always prompt and courteous while onsite doing anything. We cannot say enough great things about this company! If you want the best-we highly recommend BNW Builders! Thank you to Dan, Steve and Crew, for treating us like family!

They were terrible to our family. Their builder Reynolds C. made a mess of our project, lied to & defrauded us of $. We called BNW to alert them, and despite all their talk about being the ' good guys ' in the business, they did NOTHING. Very disappointing and Eye opening! Guess money rules at the end of the day, huh? In total, we were displaced for 1 1/2 years.

I had a new born, and a three year old, had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and they did NOTHING to help correct the damage their builder had caused. They're ALL talk, and money rules their affairs, NOT good faith and serving others in our experience -

From the first phone call, speaking with Bruce to working with the salesman, and Jerry the installer, it was a dream. Everything about the job was A+ and I can't recommend them highly enough.

I have never made a better investment on a house as when I had BNW put vinyl siding on. In 3-4 short days, they transformed my home into something my wife and I can feel proud of. They sided my 1950s tri-level, going from aluminum siding to a vinyl siding in 2011. The job exceeded my expectations and the house looks like a new house. Hurricane Irene hit Richmond in the middle of my job. They secured the site, covering all open areas on the house so that no water damage occurred. There was a delay in finishing my siding due to the hurricane and having to reroute their crews to repair roofs damaged in the storm.

The owner offered to throw in some extras to compensate me for the delay, which I totally didn't expect and wasn't going to ask for. Great company! I will use them again.

We were very nervous about the major remodeling project for our (new (to us) home. Those concerns quickly disappeared once we decided to use BNW Builders. This is our fourth home and we have done home improvement projects of various sizes (windows, decks, additions, etc.) on each.

The Weather in VA. began to dictate a date for the installment of 3 window. Today we were rain free so the sub contractor arrived with all of his materials to get the job done. His sense of humor compiled with his passion for his job was an added bonus after working all night in the ED then staying up another 12 hours during the day hours.
