Consider this. If you were to drive your vehicle for that many hours (at 70 miles per hour), you would put over 150,000 miles on it. Naturally, if you wanted to keep it on the road, you would have to keep it well maintained. After that many miles, you would need 40-50 oil changes, 3-5 tune-ups, 2-3 sets of new tires, new brakes, timing belts, wiper blades, and a host of other things.

Gator A/C does not care about their customers. Meghan in the office is rude. The Manager Terry does not call you back when you request to speak to him. I've even written a letter to the owner and I still have not heard from him yet and that was weeks ago. I do not and will not refer Gator A/C to anyone. After the last servicing is done on my A/C I am firing Gator A/C. There's plenty of A/C companies that the BBB can refer me to. I do not want to do business with a company that does not value their customers.

Gator since last November has been repeatedly changing the same part on my ac but it still doesn't work. In December they told me is was a thermostat problem but my warranty (free parts and labor) doesn't cover the thermostat. So $500 + later and a new thermostat the same errors come up and I'm sitting in my home with no air. And no technician. I can't call another company because the warranty has to be matched with a recognized trane company. Gators promise and guarantee are shallow

We have had Gator Air Conditioning as our maintenance for 7 yr.s. we have been very pleased with there service & with the service tech's they send. They are honest & explain what needs or doesn't need to be replaced on the unit. Jason Mantooth was our service person, we have had him several times through the years & has been very through & respectful.

Once again a great service by Jason. I would have given him a 5 but the ceiling panel came loose and fell down after he left requiring bigger screws. I wish he would have spoken up when he was here, I would have just given him a bigger screw as a replacement. Perhaps he didn't notice. I plan to keep Gator, they have great workers, come early many times and do a great service.

Jason called to advise he was able to come earlier than scheduled, which was appreciated. When he arrived, he was very professional and friendly. He completed his tasks quickly and made recommendations to better improve our system. He explained those recommendations so I could understand and pass them on later to my husband. We have had a maintenance contract with Gator Air since purchasing our home 8 years ago and find the company and technicians to be reliable and efficient. Our system "died" the other day and Dominic E. was very thorough in explaining our options and pricing terms. Andy H. and Mike P., our installers, were efficient and careful with the bushes surrounding the outside unit when they removed/replaced the equipment.
They did a great job of keeping us informed of progress and explaining the equipment features and how to set the thermostat properly. Cedric W., another technician who has worked on our system, is also reliable and thorough. We confidently will continue to do business with Gator.

I had a great experience with Gator Air. They were very prompt and kept me informed throughout both of my installations. They arrange the installation and follow up appointments with both of my tenants. I will use them again and I recommend them to anyone looking to replace or upgrade there AC units.

Two year old Daikin mini split. First problem is they never were able to control the room temp. they have tried five different thermostats, the one that worked went bad and they said a replacement is not available. At this time we have a remote device that they supplied, but on auto setting the room temp will "drift" six degrees up or down. I have to constantly change the temp setting to try and maintain a reasonable temp.
Second problem is that the air handler started to blow black crap from the vents. I paid for the regular annual tune up but was told at first it would be four hundred dollars to clean the air handler. After much back and forth it was agreed that the air handler was not installed correctly and could not drain completely, they did clean it without charge.
It took almost three months of waiting to have this done. The excuse was that they were waiting for the thermostat that never was available. I will say that they have spent a lot of time on this problem with many service calls. I think that either they do not care or they are incompetent, at this time the service manager will not return my calls.

WORSE COMPANY EVER. I bought an air conditioner 3 years ago - brand new - spent $8,500 in the unit and duct work. The install was done horribly and they left huge holes in my wall. I had to call on multiple occasions to get them to fix it. They finally did and let me know the person who was originally there had been fired. Since then they have had to come out 3 times to fix the unit.
This last time they told me the parts were covered but labor would be $1,300! My unit is ONLY 3 years old. When I called to complain and request a call from the manager - NO PHONE CALL BACK. This is the worst customer service I have ever had and they sell crappy units - that they call "top of the line". DO NOT USE THEM!

OK this is how it goes they never came to my house and never worked on anything. But while I was driving south on Highway 41 in a 55 zone I was doing 60. They tried to push me out of the way without making contact then went around me almost hit me and headed off down the road must've been doing 70 or 75. So if you want fast service these are the people to call the van was yellow and it said gator ac.

This was the worst experience I've ever had as a homeowner. Every service call my brand new unit got worse and worse until their last "fix" flooded my house. Caused massive drywall damage and ruined the entire insulation. They refused to fix any of this or cover the damage their inept technicians caused. I eventually went with a different company who was able to fix all the problems gator air created. Absolutely would not recommend, this was a disaster using them for my air conditioning.

This review is for Gator Air Conditioning out of Sarasota. They repaired my air conditioner in Apollo Beach charging me $2500. The repair lasted 1 week at which point they returned and told me there was nothing they could do. They said they would give me credit toward a new system but when their estimate came in it was higher than the two other bids I received. Additionally, going over the technical aspects of the compressor repair with two other unrelated engineers I learned the following: it would be impossible for Gator to install a new Trane compressor in my system without first draining the freon it is shipped with since they were putting new type freon in; this draining plus the install takes 4-5 hours; the installer was on my property for 2 hours; I was also informed that the coil below the compressor from which the new freon leaked in 7 days was likely broken during whatever fooling around they did in the 2 hours Terrible company, terrible rip off.

Steer clear of this "so-called" service company. They mark parts up 600%. They then try to upsell you on a $6,000 - $7,000 new system when the one you have works perfectly fine. I had a yearly tune-up contract where they are supposed to do this, that and whatever else they say they will do. They sit in their van in my driveway for 20 minutes and then knock on my door asking me to sign their completed work order. Hilarious. I bet the owner drives a $65,000 vehicle all the way to the bank. There are lots of other a/c companies to choose from out there. Just don't choose this one.

Great company to do business with. Worked with David Hill and he was able to give us the lowest and best quote for a new Trane air conditioning unit after four other companies quoted us. Additionally, Gator Air was able to suggest other duct improvements that no other company suggested that would lead to more efficient cooling and longer lasting equipment.
They also have a reasonable service contract that one should consider. A great company to consider doing business with when it comes to your home cooling needs. A shout out to Angie the office manager and Gary the installer too.

Jeff from gator came by for a free second opinion after we were told we had a leak in our ac and needed thousands of dollars in repairs. He was on time and professional and courteous. Did a thorough check with leak detectors, unlike the other company, and did not find anything. We were more than happy with his service. And he didn't try to sell us anything. Needless to say if the ac does go down they'll be who we call.

It was a Sunday night about 7 pm. It was hot and very humid, we returned home and found our air conditioning was not working. I figured that I was SOL on finding an AC place that was open, but I gave it a try anyway. Luckily I found Gator AC, they said they had someone on call till midnight. The AC guy was named Raymond, he was great, he first called me and ran through some basic things to see if I could correct the problem myself (which I couldn't). Raymond came out did all of the checks and found that I had a blown capacitor, so he replaced it and checked the capacitor on the fan, he even washed out my filter screen. Gator's pricing was also pretty reasonable, even for coming out on a Sunday night. When I have other AC/Heating problems Gator will be my first call.
