General Garage Door

I called General Garage Door this morning to schedule a assist spring replacement. The office staff was courteous and accommodating with fitting in an appointment that worked for my schedule. David, the technician who was dispatched for my service call arrived in a timely fashion, was extremely polite and you could tell, was a pro at doing what he does.

Some other services were suggested, but not pushed aggressively. I appreciate that being I am also in sales. This is the second time I have called General Garage Door for a repair (2016 was the first time) and I will continue to utilize their services when it comes time to replace my garage door and opener. Thank you to the team at General Garage Door.

General Garage Door has installed, serviced and repaired my commercial and residential garage doors for many years. They are always complete the work promptly, their mechanics are knowledgeable and professional, and their prices are reasonable. I look forward to continue working with General Garage Door.

This is the worst service ever, they are very rude. They forced me to change the lift master 2 months ago, now it's already broken. I can't open the garage door, my car get stuck inside of the garage. They tried to rob me. I received multiple blocked calls, attempted to collect payment on a service that was already paid for. The callers had multiple accent. Please Please don't use General Garage Door services, they will rob you.

FYI: If you would like to avoid being taken for a ride. The first thing to check before calling for service is the black photocell at the bottom of the sides of the garage door tracks. They "often" get knocked off preventing the doors from opening or closing. They are clicked back on in 1 second. Check this before calling and having to pay $116 for 8 seconds of work. Just looking out for eachother.

I can't say enough about this company.they were a simple google find, and a great one, at that! We had a major garage door malfunction, and needed to completely replace two doors (because what else do we need to worry about, right?). I sent an inquiry email, and got a response within minutes, after hours; Paul responded to my emails within the hour each time. Then, David came out and made an honest, fair assessment.

He figured out the most cost-effective way to fix our problem and didn't try to upsell us once. He warned that there would be a 3 week wait for parts (thanks, COVID), and three weeks to the day later, I received a call that they were ready to install. The next morning, Taylor came out within the exact time frame they advised the day before, and worked non-stop until it was complete; he even finished some edges and did a couple adjustments here and there, well above and beyond what was required. And, obviously (or I wouldn't be writing this right now), he did a fantastic job, and made sure we knew how to operate the doors and do the basic maintenance on them before he left. We couldn't have asked for better service, and we truly appreciate the pain-free process!

I called Monday morning to inquire about getting a new motor and tracks for our garage door. The woman I spoke with couldn't have been any nicer and was very helpful, she was able to set up an appointment for me and even took the time to walk me through the steps to set up an app on my phone that I can use to open the garage! My appointment was at 8am that Friday and their technician was in my driveway at 7:58, he was very nice and left everything exactly how he found it! I couldn't have been any happier with my experience with them! I would absolutely use them again and highly recommended General Garage Door!

We were referred by a friend after having a bad experience with a couple of other companies. General was polite on the phone and sent David the tech over to help us. He was the bomb! He was very polite and knowledgeable. We replaced the springs and it was done correctly and for a fair price. We own our own business and it is hard to find companies like General. We will use them again no matter what.

I hate house stuff! But my tech made it a pleasant experience. He was fast and friendly and serviced my rattling garage and has it now gliding smooth as silk. He stabilized my sensor nicely in place and lubed all the joints. The price was fair and greatly appreciated! Thank you!
