Rooney Landscape

We originally set up a meeting through the website as it indicated, but then quickly received a cancellation notice without reason, so I reached out via email, and Dave Rooney responded saying he would be out of town that day. Even though I found it odd that no explanation was given until I reached out, I set up another appointment with him through our email discussion.

The day of that meeting, he was just a no-show. We called and emailed again, but never received a response. I know schedules change, especially this time of year, but there is just no excuse for not showing up and not communicating with prospective clients.

Rooney Landscape is excellent. They are very hard-working, competent and responsive. The owner, Dave Rooney, is extremely knowledgeable and patient. He takes the time to explain the job and takes a personal interest in the work that is being done. Also, on a personal level, he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I very highly recommend Rooney Landscape!

They do absolutely stunning work. The Rooney crew takes their time with projects and makes sure everything is completed to the highest standard. They are well worth the wait. We will be calling them back next season to continue our extensive outdoor project. Couldn't be happier with them!

I cannot say enough about the quality of work performed by Rooney. Not to mention that their crews are respectful and meticulous (my property was cleaned daily). Rooney was responsive to my issues and addressed them all. Additionally, he personally oversaw the work himself. Our project was originally very generic and plain as we had no idea what we could do with our backyard. We assumed that because our yard was small that we would need to have a small square patio in order to keep some grass. However, after meeting with Rooney we had more options than what we originally thought. a quote was provided highlighting the options so we knew the different costs associated with the project.

We did not do everything, but are so happy with the final result. We are enjoying our backyard as a family which we were not doing before. His team was quick and clean and extremely professional. We could not be happier with our backyard!

I use Rooney for my fall clean up and all shrub trimming. September 17th I had rotate cuff surgery. I reached out to Rooney landscape if they would be able to cut my yard for the duration of 2019 season. Jon C. e-mailed me back and told me that they would probable be able to help out. Lord and behold the following week I cam home and my yard was done.

They really do a fantastic job and the trimming is far better than any one else. I have a previous landscaper who hacked my bushes. It was the worst job I have ever seen. What makes Rooney so good is it you have a problem or need some thing they return calls and fix it. A+. Thanks again.

Rooney is the hands down the best landscaping company in Arlington Heights. Jon is amazing to work with and does first class work. Dave, Thanks for scheduling the big red trucks at 106 S Belle Ave last Friday and today. Great to see Abel again. He and I guessed it was two years ago since he was here. Another terrific Rooney guy is Abel, as was Armando and a third guy whose name I didn't get. They worked very nicely with Barbara. And Barbara. My oh my. She is awesome.

Some years ago, I relocated from a Chicago bungalow with a postage stamp sized lawn to a home in Palatine that sported a lawn that to me was the size of the Ponderosa. So one of our early to-do items was to acquire a landscaping service to handle the outside work. We got the name of the place the prior homeowner had used, and after talking to the business owner / manager, I engaged him for the upcoming season. Regrettably, the service was very poorly performed, and the lawn was in bad shape.

My wife and I talked to him and he agreed to do a better job. Later on, a substantial part of the front lawn suddenly was dead. We didn't hear from the manager, so I sought him out to find out what happened. The manager confused a tank of weed killer with fertilizer. Where he "fertilized" the lawn it died. He stated his intention to dig out the dirt and plant grass.

He did this to little avail. Based on what I heard from a neighbor, I called up Rooney Landscape. Their representative walked the lawn with me and noted where some extra service would be needed to meet my requirements. Costs were discussed and fairly presented. It is clear what costs what. The quote was, and the price is, on the expensive side. You should be aware that Rooney is not a bargain basement landscaping service.

But based on a couple of years working with Rooney, I can say that the work is quite well done and that our property has never looked better. Also, when I ask for something to be done -- it promptly gets done without my need to nag. It gets well done. I strongly encourage you to talk to Rooney if you need any kind of landscaping service. The value of my home has benefitted from their landscaping and attending to the things outside the door.

As always the installers did an excellent job on the project to divert water from heavy rains in our yard. We have used them in the past and will call them again for our next project.

Rooney Landscape worked in our backyard to completely re-engineer a corner lot with a small back yard. Wow the results are outstanding - everyone loves what they accomplished! Even better was the quality of their designer, team of installers and follow through. Everyday was well planned and organized with visits from the designer and project manager!

The quality of products chosen and even more important was the care for what you don't see. Prior to building the ground was graded correctly, utilities moved accordingly and drainage issues cared for. Our final project completed on-time and on-budget and has forever changed our backyard for years of enjoyment in a beautiful space! 5 STARS!
