I used Al due to a clog in my main sewer line. I was charged $815 for them to snake my drain line, FOR 4 HOURS only for them to be unable to fix the clog, and attempt to charge me $5,100 to place a sewer clean out in my yard. They said they could use additional methods, but wanted to charge $600 or more to the original $815. So essentially I paid for them to sit in my basement a few hours, and leave with my drains still clogged. Would not recommend.

Called for water backing up in our basement everything a sink, shower, or toilet was used. This was Saturday before Easter. They got here and got it fixed quickly. Really helpful with two adults and 6 kids in the house. They told me all issues they found and gave me some ballpark figures for other work I wanted to budget for. Would definitely call them again.

I called Al Marino, they set up a time and showed up. Came in and looked at my issue, which was a frozen and split main water line under my house. Instead of fixing that spot, they insisted on replacing all my waterline from 1 end of the house to the other, told me $800 cost. I replied saying I only needed the place fixed where it was split, maximum of 16" of line.
They said we're either gonna replace it all, or we're not doing it. I said well I'm not paying $800 for a $200-300 job tops. Very unprofessional the guy told his helper, "get the tools and let's go." I would not recommend this business whatsoever to anyone. The helper was as nice as could be, his boss, totally opposite, Jerk.

My mother in law used this company to replace the main water line to her house. It was approximately 20 ft of pipe. Roughly 5 ft were outside and the rest is through a crawl space. The connection to the house is just dangling in the air. It looks very unprofessional and they charged 3,300 dollars. I would expect no more than 100 bucks per foot and a secure attachment to the current plumbing from a pro. Not satisfied

They quoted us over $1,000 to install a simple 2-gang outlet and run 24 inches of 12x2 wire for a mounted television with having access to the rear of an interior wall. We we're highly disappointed as we had a positive reference. Still charged us $85 bucks to tell us that; I wish they were honest in saying they did not want the job instead of quoting us three times the price and taking our "Assessment" money.

Marino I have to say that I cannot recommend this company due to my own experiences and won't be hiring them in the future. I had to have a section of gas line replaced due to a leak, the contractors were pleasant and went thru what would need to be done and a price was agreed upon. About a week later, they replaced the necessary section of line for the gas and informed me they had found a separate issue with our sewer, which we planned to have addressed by them since they were already doing this work.
The line was tied in by the gas company and everyone left for the day seeing as it was 4:00 pm. The issue with this is that a large hole about 2.5 to 3 feet deep was exposed in order to tie into the existing gas line and was left open and not roped off to prevent anyone from falling in, trash and debris was left behind along with some of their equipment.
I figured this was fine because they had told us they would be back the next day to finish the work but a week goes by and I haven't heard from anyone, so I contact them on a Thursday to find out the status and I'm told they will be the the following Monday. No one shows up on Monday and I don't receive any notification that day or Tuesday so on Wednesday, i call to find out the status with no update so I tell them I will take care of the rest of the job myself and I would like to cancel any future work planned, this being two weeks since the job started.
I am contacted two days later with a payment due for work completed of the full quoted price, I inform them that the job was not completed and I described the site as left two weeks prior. I am told a rep will contact me shortly, with a few hours later, Jay Marino contacts me about the work performed and my complaints. We talk for a little while and he asks about the job, I inform him of the state of the job and how it was left and I am asked if I have finished the clean up of the area.
I say that "I haven't yet but plan to start on it the next morning" of which, Jay informs me " I HAVE to give them right of refusal on the remaining work". I inform him that is fine, as long as the work in finished and the mess is cleaned up. He tells me they will be there in an hour but only show up after 3 hours since that call. They ask if I want the sewer line work done as well, I tell them I will do it myself and that I only want them to finish with the original gas line project and clean up.
They do fill in the from the tie in access, as well as picking up the debris left and pick up the tools that had been left behind over two weeks prior. The work is done and that's that, until over a month goes by without notice of the bill being charged to my card, until I look at my statement and see they have just charged for the work completed.
I have no problems paying for the work done but I think their communication with their customers is severely lacking and hope they improve this in the future. My experience may be unusual for this company, which I hope it is, but in my own experience, I cannot support them and will not hire them again.

We've have Al Marino come out for a number of services including plumbing as well as installing and servicing heating/cooling. They always been pleasant to deal with on the phone and they send high quality people to get the job done. They've been respectful and clean and their quality of work is second to none. They are a bit pricier than their competitor but you get what you pay for! Never been disappointed!

There is simply not a better home maintenance company in the Charleston area. After bad experiences with several other companies, we chose Al Marino, Inc. Jay and Rhonda keep their team focused on quality and professional results. Customer service is a priority stressed on their technicians, and it shows. We won't consider calling anyone else. When you need it done, and done right, Call the Al!

My wife Karen and I have been a customer of Al Marino for a few years now. We appreciate the service contract that we've had the opportunity to purchase. We feel that it's a good service and that it helps save the customer money. We've had the pleasure of having Ken in our home several times and have never been happier with a service representative.

These guys are the best! They're reliable, honest, courteous, and their customer service is second to none. They'll call you to let you know when they're on their way, they guarantee their work, and they always provide a follow-up call after the job is done just to make sure you are completely satisfied with the work and the technician.

When my AC suddenly died, it was suggested that I try Al Marino, Inc. As I had no idea whom to call, I decided to ask for an estimate. The man who came to my home arrived promptly and was dressed appropriately. He was pleasant, very thorough, and professionally cordial and it was his demeanor that sold me on using the company.

We had a broken sewer pipe under our house and had called several companies trying to get estimates on cost to fix the problem. Al Marino had the most courteous and professional staff, the most prompt response time, and the best price. They also offer in house financing. They showed up when they said they would and did a good job of fixing the problem. Would definitely use again.

I originally wanted plywood on top of rafters in the attic of our new addition for more storage space. Kenny made a great suggestion how to better utilize space with sturdier construction. Ended up with twice the space I originally would have had they done it my way and able to put heavier weight on the shelving than my plywood idea would have.
