This was a horrible experience, completely due to a severe lack of transparency, customer service and basic communication skills by Scott Gash and Rob Webster. We paid 80% of our total bill for a condo kitchen remodel project up front in September 2021 for what was promised to be a "6-8 week project that would start before the holidays." After several unanswered emails, calls, texts - we finally got demo started January 11, 2022.

The project was not completed until April 2022 (I literally went through an entire pregnancy and gave birth during the time it took for this to get completed). The experience included: Having to constantly review the additional costs that were added and never completed, fixing incorrect basic math that would have falsely added thousands of dollars to the project. Having to micromanage a schedule to get the project started, continued, and ultimately finished.

There were over 2 weeks of days without any work done, and several days with only a couple of hours of work done. There was no proactive communication about any set schedule of when workers would show up which made planning virtually impossible. Follow up CONSTANTLY on unanswered questions and status updates, including the HOA communication that was initially promised as a part of the project and Envision did not follow up on basic questions necessary for HOA documentation Having to communicate between Envision's internal employees as they were never on the same page and missed items that had been discussed as a part of the project early on (i.e. roll out drawers) Having Scott, the owner, literally yell over the phone at a 9 month pregnant client over a payment that was never communicated to us instead of respond to several requests to meet to review the remaining balance questions and status of the project completion date.

The only positive thing I can say is about Brian, the actual person who did the work. He was amazing to work with. I have never worked with a more unprofessional person who wasted more of my time and money throughout an incredibly frustrating process.

The place is a joke it's ridiculous they have no idea what they're doing they're completely detached with all of the things in the situation at hand it's just a joke they must have tons of corporate clients they don't care about pricing or quality and that's how they're probably able to stay afloat but for handling people that actually care about what's happening they feel completely

Love these guys.my kitchen looks awesome.and more to go to complete the remodel and deal with the issues I was cheated on by my realtor Bette Anne Wilson at Coldwell Banker, don't trust anything she says or does. Rob is easy to work with and accommodating to my issues with the problems left and lied about by the aforementioned realtor and previous owners. It took awhile to find the right contractor. I'm so stoked I found these guys. I was loosing hope.lots of shyster contractors out there.that's it!

The first time we hired Envision Design it was to remodel our downstairs bathroom 5 years ago. Since that project went well so we decided to go with them again for our upstairs bathrooms. Their contractors continue to be artists at what they do. Miguel was meticulous in everything he tackled and George the tile guy did a fantastic job too. Where they drop the ball is in the project managing.

We didn't feel Rob Webster efficiently managed our latest job since there was no communication between the contractors and minimal communication with us, unless we called or texted him. He only showed up during the project when he needed to collect a check. At the end of our 4 month project he had us just send a check with a contractor. He never saw the finished product and we never had any follow up from the owner, Scott Gash, asking how things went or even thanking us for spending $45K with their company. Big disappointment this time around!

I was sold on these guys by Scott Gash's promise of creating an artistic epoxy countertop which I thought would be a really nice finishing touch to the kitchen that Envision Design would create. They started demo on April 8, 2021 and six weeks or so later I would have a great kitchen/dining area. The countertop was the perfect finishing touch.

It was AWFUL - Just like the work done on the remodel of the kitchen. A total failure and absence of responsibility on the part of the contractor, Scott Gash. The workers are not professional. and there is little to no oversight of their work. I was concerned enough that I had Ideal Plumbing and Electric come in, inspect and correct the sloppy and unprofessional work that Envision workers had completed.

I had my countertops completed by a reputable professional. I didn't add it up but I figure that using this horrid company cost me at least $10,000 to fix the nightmare crap that was the result. By the way - the 6 week job I was promised left me without a kitchen for 6 months. I did not sue and I regret the decision. Do not use these guys.

This is a review on the initial design consultation. I will revise if we decide to go with the company for the remodelling. Very nice people and by far the most thorough of all the companies we have consulted with. Gave a us very detailed presentation for the kitchen remodel estimate including rough hand drawings of options and variants on the floor design. We haven't seen any design renderings but we understand since we've also haven't decided to go with them for the remodel and actual design is resource and time consuming.

I wouldn't recommend this band of scum bags to my worst enemy. Do not assume the good reviews (probably relatives) outweigh the bad ones. Scott gash never stepped foot in my house and it cost me $9000. If they ask for a deposit consider it $$ you'll regret you ever spent guaranteed Any questions please call me 6198137715. Had my money since October. Was ordered to refund my money by home advisors. This piece of garbage hasn't given back one red cent. Heed my words. You'll regret ever knowing these cons.

BEWARE: the worst experience of my life. Don't be charmed by the owner. In addition to being grossly overpriced, it will take you months and months to get your job done. It took me over 12 months to have 2 bathrooms remodeled and a floor put in. They want money up front for supplies but then won't show up for weeks because they have spent your money on the previous job whose money they used for the job before that.

My contract provided that they were to buy the flooring material. After 8 months I had to upfront the cost of the materials for the wood flooring because they didn't have money to pay for it. Instead of getting paid after completion of work, they will insist on getting paid beforehand and if you don't pay upfront, they just don't show up. In addition to having cracked bathroom tiles on the new bathroom floor which they will not replace, several items were taken from my house which they acknowledge but refuse to pay for.

The 5 stars must have been put there by them because if you check, they have been sued numerous times. I was reluctant to even give them one star. The number of stars is negative 10.

Do not deal with this company unless you want a horrible experience! It took two years to go through their bond company to get my money back! I had to split their bond money with two other complaints! Do yourself a favor and research San Diego Court claims. He also goes by Thomas Scott Gash.

Ty came out to give me an estimate on a kitchen remodel and addition. He looked around and stated "oh we can do that". Didn't take any measurements and commented that a door would be staying in the part of the room that is going to be totally remodeled. He said that he needed me to go to the showroom, 45 miles away from my home, in order to give us the estimate. When I said that I would not be going there, he tossed his business card on my counter and curtly said "well contact me if you change your mind".

We have taken the owner to court for services that were never rendered and we won in court. The lies about what they were going to cover and never did. A simple bathroom that took 8 weeks to complete and never provided the proper fixtures. The shower doors that were not provided even though we talked about longer than normal size doors many times.

After we paid $22,000 for this bathroom, we get the word that we had to pay an additional $2500 to have them provide Glass Shower Doors. "Total scam" from the owner attempting a bait and sell. This owner is an angry man you would never meet until the problems of delays, non functioning parts, no Glass Doors occurred. When we attempted to talk to this owner that Envision should provide these Glass Shower Doors as part of the $22000 price and the many conversations about their size and where the door opening should reside that changed from its original position.

The owner says its not in the long contract list we gave you. A TOTAL SCAM! As I said earlier, we have won in court but it has been 2 years since this 8 week simple bathroom project was completed and we have never seen a dime from this owner. We now have to proceed to next step of the process for a LIEN ON THEIR BUSINESS! Our advice to you is to take your remodel project and "Envision" yourself going somewhere else for your remodel.

This owner wants to rip you off. The reviews with 5 stars must be family members attempting to save this angry owner's business. We are Angry ourselves, very Angry. It is now our mission in life for my wife and I to save you from a lot of heartache!

They remodeled my shower to make it accessible for my husband( who is a disabled veteran). They worked around my husbands schedule and kept me up to date on who to expect and what tine. Kept the area neat and as dust free as possible. A great job, well done!

Hilarious but totally what You can expect from this Company! Lies! They definitely do not know what good customer service is Originally, Scott told me that it was not due to his work completed inadequate or his employees' errors He told me that it was my plumbing being old that caused the leak from one toilet to overflow to my master bathroom toilet and both showers and than leak to my downstairs ceiling in kitchen.

I didn't agree with him but he pretty much told me it was t his problem. I than had no choice but to call a plumber. The plumber not Scott is who identified that the contractor did not install toilet correctly over new tile. Plumber explained to me that the toilet installer had to just add a ring to bring toilet above new tile installed which is normal procedure and that was not done.

I called Scott at this time - which he still didn't believe me. I had to hand over my phone to the plumber to explain to Scott. After this I asked Scott if he could send one of his plumbers to correct issues and fix my ceiling. He had me ask plumber the cost. I told Scott $250 which did not include $60 service charge. Scott at this time told me that his plumbers were all too busy on other jobs and that he would reimburse me the plumber's charge.

He says I couldn't wait a few days- he never said that but how could that be an option. He's basically saying that it doesn't matter that we can't shower. I believe the healthy norm is to shower daily and use toilet multiple times a day. Really? He also said he would send someone to evaluate and fix my ceiling. He never reimbursed me plumbers cost which Plumber told him cost and I sent him a picture of receipt.

Someone did evaluate my ceiling which I also showed where tile had some holes, loose stairs, etc. They never coordinated a time and date that worked for us both. I finally got tired of calling and then got sick I am a disabled Veteran. A sink they installed is barely holding up. You can see delay in just commenting on my review to give you an idea in their lack of urgency. As of current date - my issues were not ever resolved by EnvisionDesign

Update 9/17/18. Changed to 5 stars from 4 because we've encountered no problems with the remodel in the 3 years since it was done. I selected Envision Design to remodel my bathroom. This was a significant remodel involving wall and concrete removal, removal of a shower curb, lowering of the shower floor to slab level, a pebble shower floor, tile on the ceiling and covering most wall space, moving a toilet, rewiring for new ceiling lights and fans.

The result was functionally and aesthetically perfect. It took longer and was more expensive than I anticipated, but I'm very satisfied given the results. What impressed me the most was once I provided a vision, both Scott the owner and Rob the project manager provided options and suggestions that enhanced the vision, based on their many years of experience, to perfect the vision.

For example, moving the toilet, adding lights in the shower, tiling the shower ceiling. Also, every time I said "is it possible to.", the answer was "yes", if it made sense. All work was performed perfectly, and has held up - the plumbing, tiling, electrical, shower door, all perfect, and as a perfectionist I know perfect when I see it. So the extra expense gives you a 1 year warranty, expert design advice, great workmanship. Well worth it if you want perfect results. Both Scott and Rob were very personable and easy to interact with. I will be using Envision Design for my next project.

On July 26, 2017, I meet with Mike, the project designer and estimator for Envision Design. Previously I had furnished my written requirements, like Hardybacker board, copper plumbing, etc. He assured me that they used only the finest materials like Kohler, etc., purchased directly for distributers, no Home Depot quality. Items he emphasized were tile, bathtub and shower pan.

Initially a start date of August 7 was set, later he said it could slip to August 14, but no later. The house was occupied so the bathroom had to be done sequentially. With their extensive work crew each bathroom could be completed in a week. On July 27 I was required to issue a check for over $4,700 so the materials could be ordered. He gave me his business card assuring me he would always be there if any problems were to occur. Nothing, not even a phone call was received the week of August 7.

This continued so on August 16 I call Mike, the receptionist answered stating Mike would call me back, he never called. During the project cycle, I called Mike 5 times, texted 6 times and email 2 or 3 times. He never responded to any of my requests. After he got my first check, everything changed. After several calls, the project finally started on August 23 and was completed September 22.

There were numerous week days (Monday to Friday) when no work was done. The shower was the first thing replaced. The shower pan was installed on August 25. The deluxe shower pan that my July 27 check for over $4,700 paid for was delivered to the house on September 18 which a workman promptly hauled off. The installed shower pan is a standard model that was purchased at the local Home Depot.

The Hardybacker board specified in my original requirements was not used for the shower walls. A cheaper product was substituted for Hardybacker. A NAHB study proved that this substitute produce is 46% faster to install than Hardybacker, cutting labor costs, another way to increase Envision Design profit margin. At the same time plumbing was required.

Their recommended plumber's bid seemed unreasonable. Obtaining 3 other bids for the same job, all were considerably less. I saved well over $1,000 by not using their recommended plumber. The one thing that Envision Design is very timely on is collecting their progress payments. I was intimidated/browbeat, by the owner, over the phone into making one payment prior to the work being started. I was basing the progress payments due on the statements Mike made on July 26, 2017, that is work completed. Description of work: Replaced the shower and bathtub

Horrible. Worst experience ever. Over a month behind schedule. Didnt show up for over a week. Constantly hounding for payment. Installed bathroom shower hot water and cold water backwards! Screwed up installed my nest thermostat. did a horrible job with "surfacing" the walls I had to redo everything! Cracked tile in bathroom and left it. tried to cover it up. Installed kitchen cabinets wrong and fell apart.

Not even kidding the whole project was a nightmare and I couldn't be more disappointed or pissed off. Scott is a joke and never even set foot once in my place he never communicated with Rob or Steve on what we talked about. AND. he was always high whenever I saw him in the office.

Envision Design was recommended to me by an old family friend, who had his bathroom updated. My parents are getting up in years and I wanted to simplify their kitchen, while at the same time, adding equity to the home itself. I was first contacted by Ty, who refuses to call himself an interior decorator and prefers the term, consultant. He arrived at our home on time and as promised, he didn't attempt to pressure us into any projects we weren't planning. Also, as promised, he came with only a tape measure, and a telephone camera.

We explained that we only wanted to modernize our kitchen with new counters and sinks to ease our aging parents mealtime tasks. Ty, couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. He offered helpful suggestions along with expert home improvement knowledge. All that was left for us to do was go to their quaint, but well stocked showroom midtown where Scott, the owner of Envision, showed us different materials to choose from, and with the help of a high tech machine, moved these materials around to show us exactly how the finished job would look.

He quoted me a price that was quite reasonable for the scope of work and, most importantly, I have considerable peace of mind concerning my senior parents and The Envision warranty. Last, but not least, I want to mention Rob and his crew, who arrived on time, were professional and polite but most of all consulted me during every step of the job to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction.

I will hire Envision again next year when I plan to 'seniorize' the bath for my elderly parents. I WILL CONTINUE TO RECOMMEND ENVISION DESIGN TO MY FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS FOR THEIR KITCHEN & BATH NEEDS

They are the best contractor company to hire for a big project such as bathroom and kitchen remodeling. I hired them for two projects and they were truly exceptional. The crew were very impressive in their work and project handled everything even the budgeting very well. I am very pleased to have worked these guys and I strongly encourage others to call them if they need top quality remodeling work.

In my opinion This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in half a century of living. Lied many times, believe me I documented everything. Made me come in twice to pick out product. Took 3 months to do a 3 day job. Call me at 619.884.8553 to hear all about it. It was a crazy nightmare, kept me up many a night. They wired backwards a light aThey don't communicate well with customers or subs.

I felt Mike in his big Mercedes SUV was arrogant and treated me with disdain. He was often on vacation or sick and nothing got done. These people made me crazy. I'd give them a Zero if possible.

I was looking for a contractor to hire for the remodel of our master bath and then I saw Envision Design. The staffs were very nice and helpful to my needs. They were very well informed and able to help me with my needs. They were truly, a one of a kind contractor that you will have for your needs. I highly recommended them.

Used one of the online sites to get bids for a kitchen remodel, only two firms responded. One firm basically said if the remodel was less than $35,000 they were not the "right" company for us. Envision responded by phone and later the owner, Scott, met at our home and listened to our ideas about what we wanted from our remodel. We wanted new counters, sink, faucet, cook-top and vent hood and oven/micro.

To keep the cost down we kept our oak cabinets but had them refinished and painted. Wound up going to Envision's showroom and Scott detailed out all work, schedules, payment amounts and dates including optional items. We were provided the detailed schedule and paid an initial amount and Scott kept up his timetable during the entire process. We bought the new hinges and pulls and the cabinet group that Envision uses did a great job with their work.

We picked out the granite and had enough to have a separate bar area and downstairs bathroom vanity completed. So cabinets were refinished in three separate areas. Scott, his project manager Rob, the granite fabricator/installers and the cabinet group did a great job and completed the total project in three weeks. We got good ideas and suggestions from Scott and Rob before and during the process.

We negotiated to have them repaint the kitchen and install new under-counter LED lights and add dimmer switches to our light switches. We feel we got a beautiful, functional kitchen and well as a freshened bar and bathroom update for a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend Scott and his crew at Envision

We were canvassed by Envision Design and the guy doing the Canvassing was so sweet; I agreed to meet with a sales consultant, and it took 3 and a half hours. No pressure, it was enjoyable. The price was half of what Anderson wanted.

Had a great experience working with Envision Design from the beginning all the way to the very end remodeling our kitchen here in San Diego. My wife and I needed a lot of work to remodel our kitchen, which included tearing down a big wall and reconfiguring the kitchen's layout so we wanted remodeler we could both trust.

Do not hire Envision Design. Do not hire Envision Design. Do not hire Envision Design. Got it? If not, go back and read it again! It's too bad that one star is the lowest option available; I wish I could give Envision Design a negative 100 stars. My experience with Envision Design was about as horrible as you can imagine. I hired Scott to remodel the kitchen of my condo (roughly 150' - new floor tile, cabinets, granite, lights, etc.).

What I was told would be about a one month job turned into months and months and months, including one six week stint where I had no water at my kitchen sink at all (it's a small condo, and I only have one kitchen, and one bathroom - think about that). As part of the rebuild I ordered new appliances (stove, microwave, dishwasher, and frig.) from Home Depot as agreed and scheduled but unfortunately, I had to order them a total of three times as Home Depot's policy is to return the appliances to the manufacturer after they are left sitting on their warehouse loading dock for 30 days or more.

Why were they left sitting on their dock on two separate occasions for more than a month (?), because Envision Design had delay, after delay, after delay. I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. Repeat after me: Do not hire Envision Design. Do not hire Envision Design. Do not hire Envision Design. Just don't do it!

I thought the job was done well. A few problems with some workers not taking care of covering toilet and scratched new seat. When tiling the bath wall the sealant wasn't filled in places. When they came out to fill the grout, the color of the grout was darker than the original color. Other than that the work was good. I am pleased with the results of my bathroom remodel.

I have waited to write a review as I have wanted to live with our remodel for a bit. We contracted Envision to complete our master bath and fireplace remodel. Everyone I spoke with, except the finance lady, was quite friendly and communication was good. Envision sent a single person (a subcontractor) to complete all jobs including plumbing, cabinets, painting, and tiling.

I needed to constantly supervise the subcontractor's work as Rob, the supervisor, never came to the job site after it began. Quality of the work was adequate, but I had to be there to remind the subcontractor of overlooked items. One repair is still not complete 3 months later! The work area was often left a mess and refuse was stored in the backyard instead of being hauled away in a timely manner.

This became dangerous to me and my pets. Tool boxes were left in my living room! I would not recommend Envision Design, but if you decide to go with them, be prepared to: prepay for work not completed, purchase all of the fixtures yourself including toilets and tubs, closely supervise subcontractor, live in a mess, and deal with a snarky financial manager.

I want to start by saying sorry for taking so long to review. We had this work done last summer. Our experience with Envision Design was nothing but professional and an overall great experience. Scott was very pleasant and helpful from the start until the end of our project. We did a lot of research on pricing before deciding to go with them.

We had someone come out to take pictures and look at what we wanted. He couldn't give us any info or ideas since he is a subcontractor and had to talk to a manager. We were scheduled to go to the showroom to pick out designs and get the estimate. We arrived and the building was locked. I had texted Ty the night before asking for the address and we confirmed the time and date earlier in the week.

I also texted Ty when we were on the way to the show room. When we arrived I called him and he said there was an "emergency" and if we could wait a half hour. We woke our sleeping infant for this appointment. We decided not to wait since this was already bad business in our opinions.

I have been trying to get Envision out to our house to perform warranty work on both the bathrooms they remodeled for us. I have spoke with Scott the owner, in both July and August, and was assured that as soon as the parts were delivered, his estimate was in two weeks, they would be out to complete the work. I have made several follow-up calls and am always told that Scott is "out of the office".

I have never received a call back and the work still needs to be done. I have been waiting for more that 8 months to get this issue resolved. I would not use this company because when the job is done, you're forgotten!

I had my bathroom remodeled through Envision Design. They removed my bathtub liner and replaced it with a stand-up shower. They installed tile on the floor and wall and a new vanity. The owner Scott that I worked with told me the process would take a week to 8 days. It took almost seven weeks. My plumber did a few things wrong caused most of the delays and had to fix them.

I had to take a lot more days off of work to deal with the changes than I had anticipated. I should have let Envision Design hire the plumber and kept out of the process. Instead, I caused most of the delay. The tile guy made some mistakes; I had spoken with the project manager, and they sent him back out to fix the issues. My project manager did an excellent job, and the subcontractors were good.

The electrical contractor was excellent, though. Looking back I would not have hired the plumber which caused a significant delay overall they did a bang up a great job; my bathroom looks amazing and modern, never thought I would enjoy going to the bathroom as much as I do now.

I would not recommend Envision for small projects; After I signed the contract, Rob wasted 3 months of my time to tell me they had to jump ship on us. My kitchen remodel was supposed to be a 2-week project, instead we got weeks of unreturned phone calls, empty promises and no work done. Apparently, they didn't have the time to deal with us in the first place. My wife and I have our first child on the way and if they don't value that, they won't value you.

Our new master bath turned our pretty rad! Envision Design has a standard beyond five stars. Scott's entire staff was experienced and professional. We are so happy to give Envision a five-star rating across the board. Scott helped us to envision (pun intended) the possibilities. Several weeks later they came to our home, discussed the potential and took measurements for their plans.

At our next meeting, Scott used the drawings to help estimate the cost of work. Using Envision's showroom and Scott's expert help we were able to select all the materials needed for the job. We selected tiles, vanity, cabinets and all hardware. At our next meeting with Scott, we were provided the drawings, signed the agreement and scheduled the dates for the project.

We wrote a check to start the remodel. Two months before work started we were visited by our project manager, Ron I believe. He took a final set of measurements, described the process and received a check for pre-construction costs. Several weeks later Envision sent a detailed "description of work". Their construction workers were on time, kind and provided quality workmanship.

At the end of each day, all tools were removed. The work area was cleaned. We felt very comfortable with them in our home many times during the five weeks. We are very extremely happy with the results and the experience and know we received real value for the money spent. We highly recommend Envision Design and their team!

We selected Envision to remodel our master bath. The remodel was extensive and involved moving walls, electric, and plumbing. Every step was cleared with us and we even bought most of our own supplies to offset cost. Scott and his team are top notch and we will go back for any other projects we might need a contractor for.

Everyone at envision was a pleasure to work with. They completed our bathroom remodel on schedule and, more importantly, on budget. Scott (our primary worker) was clean and respected our home every day. He, Ron, Ty, and Scott Gash made sure everything was taken care of from start to finish. During our initial consultation, Ty made sure he knew what we wanted and found ways to save us money at the start. Scott Gash continued the transparency when we picked out our finishes, tile, and counter tops.

The budget and estimate were clear and we had a good idea of what exactly we would spend on the project and when installment payments were due. After the start of the project Ron and Scott made sure we stayed in the loop on any schedule changes with daily texts or calls. In the end they transformed our master bath from looked like a 1970s sauna to a clean, sleek, and modern bath that was exactly what we wanted.

When the project was finished it was well done. Nice products and good prices. Schedule was way off. Two weeks longer than original schedule and that was for a 2 week planned time. Overall, good but leave time for late finish.

Do not trust this place. I signed up and was promised a finish time and this place took over 3 extra weeks to finish my kitchen. There are lots of other places that are better rated.

Complaint: In remodeling our bathrooms, Envision Design initially recommended using schluters and/or bullnose tile edges on our shower tiles. We decided against using either, and so informed the project manager before any tile work was begun. Nevertheless, the items were never deleted from our contract, and when the company used my credit card to cover the final payment, I was still charged with the expense of the two materials--$368.

I had paid the company in four installments, following the completion of each stage of the work. Each time there was a payment to be made, the project manager would inform me in person that it was due, and give me a chance to O.K. the payment. Except for the final payment. In that case, I was not informed that the amount was about to be taken out of my credit card account, only learning about it a week or so later.

I also learned then that the cost of the two materials was included in the funds they took from my bank. I immediately informed the manager of the mistake and asked him to return the funds to my account. That was 4 months ago. Since then I have repeatedly tried to contact the project manager, and the overall supervisor, about the matter, but my calls were not accepted, and messages I left were not returned. Finally, I was able to get the project manager on the phone two weeks ago and asked for resolution of my problem.

He said he would take care of it, but since then I have not received the money back nor heard again from the manager or the company. The project manager and his supervisor still decline to answer my calls or to call me back when I leave messages.
