Pop-A-Lock

I called them at 11:00 am to their dispatch person with in 30 min the tech called me back say he can do the job and will be here at 4 pm. At 3 pm he calls me back to ask me again what do I need to be done I explained it again and he remembered he talked to me earlier. So at 5 pm HE calls me to let me know he hasn't eaten all day and was going to get food and be here by 6 pm.

It now 6:40 pm and he tells me he will be here in 30- 45 min WTH i been waiting since 4 :00 I used them a lot when pop a lock first came to the island great service back than but now I don't know what happened

Called for road side service, waited for 3 hours still did not show up, called again to followup, was told my service got cancel due to Driver doesn't have proper tool

Responded too slow. I found someone else. No one picks up the phone or you're left on call waiting for 30+ minutes. I don't have that time to waste.

Terrible terrible terrible. We have been waiting for a locksmith to come and unlock our vehicle. It has been over 2 hours and no one has come. We should start charging the company for our time.

My battery to my car died. Joe was sent out to help. He went above and beyond what was asked of him. Literally saved my day. Thanks Joe! I know if I need anything in the future he will be my go to and would absolutely recommend. Mahalo!

Joe was great! He arrived sooner than the estimated time and immediately identified and fixed the problem with my car battery. Would definitely recommend!

Worst experience ever with a company. I wish I could leave negative zero stars. I called this company at 4 in the evening to come and unlock a car that's sitting in front of the valet at an area hotel(easy, right? Nope). So after waiting a little over an hour, and receiving an invoice, I finally called on the status of the locksmith. The company looked me up and asked was I in Pearl City.ummm No.

Then they preceded to tell me the driver showed up and no one was at the car(a lie) so he left. When I stated I was at the car the entire time with he then said there was an issue with my phone number. To make a long story short, I had a heated exchange via text with the driver who claimed he called 3 times blaming me for him not showing up. Trash company. Do business elsewhere! And to top it all off, they charged me a no show fee.

Needed to jumpstart my car, called GEICO roadside service, and referred to this pop a lock of Honolulu, Joe came in within 5 minutes after GEICO sent out my road side report, fantastic and quick service.

Needed a locksmith so I called pop-a-lock. The person who answered asked me questions about the issue I had. Explained I need to get a key that was stuck in the ignition removed. He asked for my personal info before giving me a quote. I asked for the quote and he stated it was $79 flat rate. I needed clarification if that was the set price for the stuck key and he said yes.

I needed a peace of mind that no other fees will be added later and the staff member said No that you will only be paying $79. He then asked for my credit card info. I didn't feel comfortable paying up front but he explained that was standard for the company to take my card info and charge the amount. I agreed and gave my cars info. He said they will be sending a locksmith out to me.

I asked how long will it be and he said an hour. Hour passed an no locksmith, i told myself ok maybe he is running late so waited another 10 minutes. I finally call the business and was told that there was no locksmith available for the night and tomorrow morning will be the soonest. The company didn't bother to call me to let me know about this.

The person I spoke to the second time I called advised me that the other staff member whom I spoke to earlier was in training. Well a call back would have been nice. I asked if they charged my cadd and she said no. Disappointing that they wouldn't consider calling me to let me know what was going on.

Pop-a-lock is a household name on island! This service has saved me over the years in a handful of situations, getting locked out of my car, actually losing my only key, flat tires, and jumps! Most recently Joe helped me out as I realized my tire had gone flat as I was driving on the highway (!) and had to pull over in the middle of nowhere. Joe found me and got me going again he is a pro! Thanks for your help! It's peace of mine to know I can call pop-a-lock whenever I need them. Serious Mahaloz for helping this sistah in a time of need!

My Honda Fit Manual would not start and Joe was able to identify the problem which was not my battery, but likely my starter. I thought there would be no hope, but he was able to get my car running by giving it a push while I released my clutch which got my car to start. I learned how to start my manual without a starter thanks to Joe! I learned something very useful:. He was very professional and did an awesome job! I highly recommend Pop-A-Lock in Honolulu!

The massive potholes got me stuck on the side of the road but Joseph saved the day. Was there in no time and had me on the road in less than 15 minutes! Thanks Joe!

Terrible company. DONT EVER USE THEM Says 10 min away on text (after 1 hr wait) but they never came. Called them and some error. Clearly they sent text to my correct number but very uncooperative when I called for help. Says they dont have my phone number, told me to call my insurance company again so rude. Call geico 5times becuz thats how all these companies are so annoying yet when we did 3 way call to make sure that same error dont happen they wont pick up after multiple attempts. Waste of time and mental energy. NEVER USE THEM. If your insurance try to use that for you ASK For another company

This is the second time I have used this company, because it's partnered with my roadside assistance. The both times, they were on time, serviced my vehicle quickly, although it was a battery jump the second time, so that was very quick! I would recommend using them even if it wasn't for my roadside assistance!

First of all, I would give this place no stars if I could. This man who came to fix my tire didn't even introduce himself. I asked him how his morning was going & he has the audacity to tell me, "I'm going to be behind shit all day." Sir, this attitude at 8 in the morning is not it. And if you don't like being behind shit all day, then quit.

He didn't seem to be enjoying. I wish I got this guys name because he needs to go. When he finished putting my spare tire in, he lets a loud sigh. I said thank you & said to have a good day. This man didn't even acknowledge. Pop-A-Lock, worse service ever. Looked through facebook and I believe the guy who came to help is the owner of this company.

Jake came out really quickly to rescue and start my Odyssey. He was also very knowledgeable about the intricacies of Hondas and modern car needs. On his advice, I went to replace my battery and we're back on the road with little downtime.

Nothing is worse than getting off work late at night and your car don't start. Paul with pop-a-lock made it all better when he showed up earlier than estimated time, ensure that I was safe and comfortable to drive home. Thank you so much.

I had a really bad rip on my tire and had no idea how to change my tire, so I had to call my insurance and they contacted pop-a-lock. I had an agent name Cameron he was awesome! He changed my tire and showed me what caused the rip. He changed my tire and was done less then 10 minutes and he got to me fast as well. Very professional and kind. Joe came to my rescue. An unanticisipated tire blowout in rural Northshore of Oahu. Joe communicated with me on his timeline, therefore I did not feel abandoned. Courteous and prompt on the tire change once he arrived. Joe is a great asset to your company. Mahalo!

We were on vacation in Oahu when accidentally left the key locked in the car. Called road side assistance from our car rental company and was put on hold for 45mins. My husband called pop-a-lock and within 20-30 mins we got a call to meet us where we parked the car. Our walk was about 8 mins to the parking and before we even got there, Paul already had gotten the door unlocked and we were ready to go! It was def a stressful situation that was saved by this company!

I dont have a problem giving Paul the tech that came out, a five 5 star for being fast and courteous. As for the company, I gave extra details as soon as they called but it didn't seem to get passed on to the tech as I still had to give the same details when he called and especially knowing what he was there for. Also, I was expecting to see somebody with some kind of logo either the company or USAA on their vehicle to be easily identifiable bit this one did not have either unlike when I used road side assistance in Texas.

I had accidentally locked my keys in my car yesterday August 7th in Kapolei and called Pop A Lock. Joe arrived pretty quick within the hour and opened it up so quick! He has the true Aloha Spirit. Efficient and with a smile Mahalo Pop-A-Lock!

Edit: This company is now personally harassing me about my review, and blatantly lying about details of my customer interaction. The reason for the many 5 star ratings here is that they abuse the Yelp system, which I already documented. They tell their workers specifically to tell customers to give them 5 stars on Yelp and refer to their names. That's what you're seeing here in all the other reviews.

Joe came through with the quick and efficient work! I needed road side assistant in the middle of the night and he came within 30 minutes. Made quick work of my busted tire and I was on my way. Thanks Joe for making my bad night a little better!

Paul was awesome! He came in less than half the stated wait time and was not only extremely helpful, courteous and efficient, but he also helped me to do the little things like pump my tire and put the tire into the trunk of the car. He went above what I know he is required to do and I appreciate his time and assistance very much. I wasn't up to doing all of that on that day and he helped me out without even thinking twice. I needed a new key for my car and got stuck behind one of their vehicles in traffic and decided to call them to see if they could help. I needed a new car key, the kind that the car senses the key is there and it has buttons you can use to lock the car and stuff. I had an appointment with the local dealer to fix this, but Pop a Lock offered to come to me, do the job faster and charge less than the dealership.

I met up with them and they totally delivered! I got my new key for $260, which beat the $320 the dealership wanted. The new key is identical to my original one, not some brand X knock off. The guy got my new key working faster than the dealership said it would take. My only complaint is he met me about an hour later than he said I would but that's ok, it was still more convenient than going to the dealership. If I needed another new key, I would totally go with Pop A Lock again.

Pop A Lock saved me! They're the best. I had accidentally locked myself out and Rolan to the rescue. He was prompt, responsive, and professional - give that guy a raise! I will be calling this company every time I need a lock rekeyed or replaced. They were super efficient and I was grateful they were there in a last minute crunch.

5 stars across the board for Jake at Pop-A-Lock! Our car was running fine for the first half of the day. Stopped at the store for some groceries. Loaded up, tried to start the car, and no luck. Damn battery died. Car was being weird and flashing the airbag inspection light. Grrr. We're insured through Geico so this was no problem at all. With a few simple taps on my Geico app, help was on the way.

Believe it or not, we waited less than 20 minutes. How lucky was that!? Jake pulled up, asked a few questions, and boom bam did his magic, and done! We were started up in no time. Turns out we had a bad battery in our recently purchased used car (from Star Auto Waipahu. That's another story.) Ended up buying a new battery from O'reilly's. Anyways, we're thankful for Jake at Pop-A-Lock. Speedy and efficient service. It's comforting to know you folks are there when drivers are in difficult times like these. Thank you very much! Paul responded to my request through Geico for a car battery jump at a mall parking lot. He arrived quickly and used the portable battery charger and it worked the first time. Thanks!

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! LIARS! I activated emergency roadside service at 1025am. I've been waiting 1.5 hours for the emergency roadside service from pop a lock. I called at 1110 they said they will be here in 20 minutes. Driver is on their way and stay by my phone he is going to call. At 1122 they put on the reminder that service was completed.

I called them back at 1155am and They said. 2 stories: First they said 'my insurance company' cancelled it. Then They said "Mr. Andrew the driver said he saw the truck and it's a tire he can't service. I have to call my insurance company and reactivate it. I said NO your driver or someone put completed and they didn't even come. I've been waiting outside the entire time."

This is not the first time I've been let down by this company. I sat and waited in my car. Called these people at 3:31 pm to get an ETA and they told me 4:13 pm. I then get a call from Geico telling me my claim was cancelled because the Pop a Lock service provider claimed they could not get ahold of me yet I received NO calls from them. If your insurance ever tries to link you with this company, please request they find someone else. They don't follow through, waste your time and leave you hanging in an emergency.

Had a service call from GEICO. I was told it would be an hour for a service, after 1 1/2 hours I called and they canceled my service and did not call me. I had to call empire tow for a service and waited an additional hour. This is the worse experience and would never use them again. I would suggest calling another company

They helped me out two times. One for running out of gas cuz ex gf always like run em close to empty and the other was locked out. They came and take care right away. Fast and easy. Now especially get my bro Jonah, I know even more better.
