Ike's A/C did a great job for us in replacing my 20+ year old system that finally failed. The Lead Tech, Richard, came out originally to diagnose the system and was great at explaining what was wrong with our system and helped us understand our options on a new system so we could decide what was best for us. The installation was professional and exceeded my expectations. Nathan and his crew got us up and running quickly and they were fantastic from start to finish.
If I had a question or concern about anything during the process they were all answered with genuine kindness and consideration. Priscilla and the office staff were exceptional as well, taking care of all the scheduling, coordinating, communicating, warranty paperwork, CPS rebate processing, and follow-up. Ike's A/C team exceeded our expectations and made a challenging situation like replacing an entire air conditioning system in 100 degree weather actually pleasant. I highly recommend Ike's Air Conditioning.

Richard G was the tech who provided great customer service. My AC was not working and he arrived, identified the issue, explained to me the repair that was needed and also gave me explicit details pertaining to the repair. I will continue to use IKE's Air Conditioing for all my AC repairs and service. I will also recommend their service to all my friends and family.

WOW, We are a 57 unit apartment complex. That houses 80 percent military veterans that live here. We are looking for a AC vendor to service are community. I was told that they don't service Apartment Complex. What a shame your web site does not stay that. In response the Owner of Ike's Air Conditioning. Wants to get upset cause I post an honest opinion online.

I have depended on Ike's for a/c repair and maintenance for many years. Our first ac/heater was replaced by Ike's 20 years ago and recently they installed a brand new a/c and heat complete unit. Great experience with Ike's Air Conditioning. Very professional and efficient. Richard diagnosed the problems with my old system in a way that was clear and gave me confidence he knew what he was doing. After a little research, I determined the price to replace the system was fair and the new system was of good quality. I had a short schedule and Ike's replaced the system within 24 hours. Nathan and Watson did a great job, worked quickly, and kept me appraised of the progress. I'm now sitting in a nice 72-deg house. I highly recommend Ike's.

Five stars. Watson and Nathan were terrific. They were on-time, competent and knowledgeable, and extremely professional. They swiftly dealt with unexpected issues that arose, answered all of our questions about the unit and left the work zone cleaner than they found it. Sent inquiry late at night, received a call first thing in the morning, set a meeting up right away. Mini split AC consultation went great, technician was very knowledgeable and professional. Brandon went above and beyond getting my mini split installed. Copper line, drain tube, and power cord were neatly connected. My previously used equipment needed a lot of TLC and he made it look and work like brand new. Accommodated my new house set up perfectly. Very happy with the service. Highly recommend.

I bought a brand new Rude A/C system from IKE's less than two years ago. I have already had them out twice and now I need them a 3rd time. First time, just over a year, the tech said there was a factory default that caused all my Freon to leak out, so he "patched" it and refilled my unit for $200. Then Ike tells me they would replace the unit, but I would have to pay labor ($2,000-$3,000)?!?!?
Second time, 8 months later (after I threatened to get a layer) tech tells me there is no defect and the first guy over charged my unit. So the first guy lied and Ike kept my $200 for false services. Now one month after the last guy my system is not cooling right. So it seems IKE can't get their story straight. Which is it? Problem? No Problem? If this is their business practices run as fast as you can to other companies! They have to be better than these guys!

Ike's A/C company made a routine call back on 5 March 2018 for the problem of a circuit board in the air handler that kept blowing fuses. This property is a rental house I own on the NW side of San Antonio. I am a landlord in this area and I am also HVAC trained and EPA certified. In fact, I installed the central heat and air in this particular house ( a brand new Goodman 3.5 Ton indoor and outdoor unit(split system) and line set).
The tenant told me that 2 guys worked on it and that they were there maybe 15 or 20 mins and that the unit was not working because the they had to go get another part. I called Ike's and the secretary put the technician on the phone that did the work. I didn't catch his name nor was it put on the job invoice. He told me that the unit was working but that they didn't leave it running because it has a leak in the tubing of the evaporator coil and if left on would probably just freeze up the system.
At this time, he said his service manager would be getting with me to arrange the acquisition of a new coil. I told him that there was no need to do that because the unit is under warranty from the Goodman company. Ike's charged me(Recharge of R410A @ 2lbs - $130) to troubleshoot the coil. The Goodman Company sent me a new coil( $155 for shipping) and I installed it.
I pumped down all the remaining refrigerant into the outdoor unit and then opened the system to the atmosphere and installed the evaporator coil. Recharged the system and had it working. It has been working good ever since. I took the old coil home to look for the leaks that the technician claimed it had in the tubing inside of it and found none. The tech's diagnosis of this coil was totally inaccurate and/or deception.
The coil that was taken out has been holding 85 psi for well over a year now and shows no signs of leaking in the tubing. This coil is in excellent shape, too bad it's going to waste sitting here. I find it hard to believe that the techs had to add any refrigerant to the system to troubleshoot it because I only had to add a pound or 2 to get it to full charge when I reinstalled it and overall the system holds several pounds.
I called the general manager Bill and told him that there was nothing wrong with the coil and could I get a refund for the $158 diagnostic and $130 puron charges. He said that he would look into it. I haven't heard from him since. The original problem of the circuit card blowing fuses, they never said anything about it or how it was fixed. My recommendation for anyone looking for an A/C co., is to avoid these people and this company and find someone who is reputable and someone who will stand behind their work.

They were prompt in doing the installation. Service after the fact left a lot to be desired. They not once checked on the unit or how it was woking. No follow up what so ever. I would not recommend this company under any circumstances. They charge ungodly amounts to do warranty work on THEIR installation. They wanted to charge me $200 to put in a couple of ounces of R410 (that sells retail at around $5 a pound) when the technician was already here on site.
That was after charging me over $400 to change out a circuit board that was under warranty. They don't return phone calls, they make no attempt to keep customers up to date on when repairs will be made and lie at every opportunity when asked to keep a customer up to date. Run the other way if anyone even suggests you call them.

Not a rip off.but extortion! I called this company because they were the installer (prior to use buying the house), and it was still in warranty. I was quoted $1184 to fix my AC that wasn't cooling. For a Contactor, a Run Cap (jargon for capacitor), and for a hard start kit, and the service call fee. When I started to write it all down so I could go over it with my husband, that's when he told me I don't "need" the hard start kit.
The $449 item he was just trying to sneak in there. Never tried to explain what it was or why I might need it, just added it to the list. Obviously I did NOT have him repair this. My husband bought an $18 contactor (per the parts manual) fro the AC parts store, 30 min to install it, and now its working just fine! $18 part and they were going to charge me $1184. Don't even THINK about using this company!

It is a shame that I have to give this company at least a 1 Star. On the fist day of this 2 day job, I was charged $750 just for the labor to replace the coil. This was the second evaporator coil replacement since they installed a completely new unit in 2013. On the second day I was charged almost $3000 to install new refrigerant lines because they claimed that the original lines had a leak somewhere in the walls of my home.
Just recently they charged me $350 to blow the mold out of the condensate line and that job took approximately 25 minutes. After I complained by email, the owner emailed back and said he had torn up the $350 check. Grease spots have happened on my carpet because they did not lay down a tarp. My furnace closet door frame was busted and not replaced when it had to be removed to install the 2nd coil.
Sharp shards of sheet metal were left in my back yard when they did the refrigerant line replacement. Lastly, no matter how hard I try, I just cant seem to get an itemized invoice from them for any of the jobs completed. I want to know what the parts cost and the labor as a separate line item. Please do research before choosing this company. Check Yelp, Google Maps, and the San Antonio Better Business Bureau.

I have had a few things happen (a/c related) since I moved into my place. Ike's has been my go to and I can't express how satisfied I am! Richard was my technician and he did an awesome job. He worked with efficiency, he was polite, and you could tell that he knew exactly what he was doing. Both him and his coworker cleaned up their mess and I would definitely give them my business again.

Very bad experience just trying to get a quote. I should have known when the estimator showed up in a $75,000 Audi sports car. This was a simple job. The unit is available on-line (and retails) for $1500 but they wanted another $3300 to install it. This was an existing installation and simple replacement of a split unit and the last installation was 4 hours.
The service tech was rude and couldn't justify the $3300 for 4 hours of labor. He just kept saying that "that was the price". Amazing that they are allowed to represent Mitsubishi! Two other bids were $2900 and $3200 TOTAL and the job was done the next day.

My husband and I run a some townhome with my folks here in SA and back in June one of our tenants had their AC go out. We ended up having a great unit installed that works great however Ike's company is extremely a rude. First, we did not appreciate that the service technician (Gerald) who assisted us promised a window unit for my tenant and never received one.
My tenant was then without A.C. for 5 days due to the service technician never on time or at my tenants unit during the scheduled time because of the "summer demand". We also did not appreciate the service technician questioning my folks and I why we wanted to install a 2 stage air handler model when it was just for rental property. Well I'm sorry that we believe in putting our tenants first and making sure they are happy and comfortable which clearly Ike's does not. ONCE the unit was finally installed the tenant has not had any issues but I'm sorry I am a firm believer in customer service and Ike's has lost my business for my other properties here in town.

I have read all the nice comments regarding Ikes' service. Unfortunately my experience was very different. My AC quit working on a Saturday and they were the only business open so I called them. Gerald was here promptly and estimated the repair to be over $1000.00 dollars. Not having the money I wrote him a check for the service call. ($67.00).
A friend recommended another friend by the name of Alfonso, don't remember the last name. He came and pushed a few buttons on the thermostat and checked the compressor outside. The AC started working immediately. I know who to call the next time my unit needs servicing and it won't be Ike.

I appreciated the work ethic and professionalism displayed by the two gentleman that worked in my home on Monday May 20, 2103. There were very thorough and wasted no time in the installation and kept the down time on the AC to a minimum. Both Mrs. Moran and I really appreciated that since it was so hot outside.
