I'm glad I don't deal with this company. i'd been dying to try them until I called for Bella Cera pricing and was quoted $15 per square foot when the same exact thing is offered at Kaufman for $6.89. Thayer will gouge you, then tell you your home isn't worth the product. I moved to a minority city after buying my affordable home and pay taxes like everyone else, yet even though I am doing a self-install, Thayer refuses to do fair business. He's classist and thinks he's too good and the product is too good for my investment.
When I sent an email for assistance with locating alternatives, he never responded. The man is flaky and doesn't even know me and doesn't know my city as well as he thinks he does to presume that the house and its people aren't worth anything. Furthermore, if he did, he'd know that I've already spent $22,000 on this renovation project and that I'm not too low-end for the engineered wood flooring of my choice. I'd never been so disgusted in my life by a business. My money is as green as anyone else's in this country and I shouldn't be treated as if I'm less than.

I DO recommend going here even though I'm giving it a one star. This is a hard review. I wish I could give the store and owners a five star and zero star for the installers. Moe is the absolute best, he helped me find a great carpet for an excellent price and even helped me out big time with backsplash for my kitchen. He even came out to my house the same day I visited the store to take measurements for the carpet even though it was late in the evening.
I would absolutely recommend going to check them out. Unfortunately I have to give one star for the absolute poor excuse of an installation. It was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with contracted workers. First they were 3 1/2 hours late with no updates letting me know anything. I had to keep calling the store and ask for updates. When they finally arrived they just barged into my house screaming "hello!?" No knock or doorbell.
I showed them the area to carpet and left to go to work (I had to go get updated on the meeting I had now missed). When I returned to the house the first thing I noticed when I looked down the stairs was that it looked like there were two different carpets put on the stairs (as you can see in the pic). They had put the carpet on in two different directions which was extremely noticeable.
I have no idea why the installers thought it was ok to leave it like that. I called the store and made them come back immediately to fix it. When they tore it back up they scratched up the wall up, which will have to be repainted now. After they left, I went downstairs to take a closer look. The trim was completely trashed. Brand new, freshly painted trim, ruined.
You can see this in the pictures. I didn't take a picture of every single spot but, not exaggerating, every 3-4 feet is a significant gouge that has to be patched and repainted. There's one 16 foot piece of trim I'm going to tear out and replace because it has so much damage on it. Also, the trim along every one of the 18 steps had significant damage.
On top of all this, I also found blood on the wall. Needless to say, I have more paint to buy and HOURS of rework to do. I gave myself a couple days to cool off from being furious and drove out of my way to go to the store and talk to the owners in person, I really do like the owners and wanted to make them aware of how terrible the installers were.
He told me it was in the contract that damage is to be expected. Yes, some scratches and a couple dings are expected. Not CHUNKS missing. I had carpet installed a few years ago in an area with 6 times as much length along the walls and the guy didn't leave a single scratch on the trim. It was the same trim with the same spacing to the floor. Also, the installers have no reason to go to any other part of the house.
They messed with a new backdoor I just installed which is out of the way of where the carpet was being installed. I imagine they wanted to check it out as it's a very nice expensive double sliding glass door. I know they did because it was unlocked and the lever was twisted to a position it's not supposed to be in. They didn't relock it because they more or less broke it and couldn't get it to relock.
I managed to get it to relock for the time being. I'm not sure what they did but I'll have to take it apart to see if I can fix it. Loved the store and the owners, I do believe they really want to help people out and get the best deal for them. They said they were going to handle the issue but honestly they should find new installers. I would recommend letting them know you read this comment and be very clear about what's acceptable as far damage goes on the installation before signing the contract. Pay AFTER the job is done properly with minimal damage.

I usually don't do reviews, but I was so blown away by the whole experience I'd thought I'd share. The owner gave me a great price and worked with me on my budget. They were even able to come out the very next day! Mind you- I showed up 30 minutes before closing and he worked all that out. The worker showed up on time and was very fast. I thought I was going to have to miss a last minute birthday dinner I had been invited to, but no. He finished all three rooms in exceptional time! Would definitely recommend and will probably use again when I get ready to do my hardwood floors.

My husband and I had a great experience with Carpet Mills! Mo is awesome to talk to, and has wonderful customer service skills. He went above and beyond to find the perfect carpet for my house, and even came out to my house at 7PM on a weeknight, the first day I came in there asking about carpet, with samples so we could decide which color we liked best.
We also already had a quote from another place, and Mo worked with us on price to get us a better deal with better carpet and better padding. He came out there every day his guys were working, and his guys worked until 10PM each night they were installing the carpet to get it done. The week we got the carpet in it was raining, but as soon as the carpet arrived Mo made sure his guys got out there the first day we had any sunshine so they could get started on the install. I would absolutely recommend Carpet Mills to anyone!

I met Mo at Carpet Mills about 3 years ago when I was thinking about putting in new flooring and counter tops. Didn't happen at that time. Forward 3 years later, I had totally forgotten about Carpet Mills, sorta. Nevertheless, I went in. Mo assisted me with choosing flooring (I had already gotten new counter tops). He brought samples to my home. I thought I wanted the lvt wood look, but changed to a travertine look for my kitchen/dining room. Installation was set up, the installer, Marco, came on time as scheduled, and did an excellent job.
I found one tiny area a few days later and called Mo to have the installer come back out, he came right away, same day; he explained what I was seeing and said he too didn't like the way it looked and fixed it quickly. If anyone needs any flooring, go by and visit the gentlemen at Carpet Mills, they will fix you right up and try to work with you on price.

Moe, Thayer & team at Carpet Mills are one of kind. They replaced the flooring in my entire home and did a fantastic job! Done in 1.5 days! They provide more than just a "business transaction" by truly caring about the customer's happiness. Carpet Mills, thank you for a great experience with my remodel!

What a wonderful experience. I am very pleased with the outcome of my new hardwood floors. The colors turned out fabulous. The carpets that was put in all the guest bedrooms turn out great. I love all the little details that were not forgotten. The men that came out to do the job were very hard working. They were very curious an professional. They worked long hours to get the job done quicker, which is what I wanted.
They cleaned up after themselves and put everything back where it belonged. Moe who helped me select everything was wonderful. He even came out to see how the job was going in a huge rain storm. My husband and I would recommend Carpet Mills to everyone. My neighbor came by to see what I had done and can't wait to do her house now. Call Moe he is your man. Thank you again for everything. It was totally worth every penny we spent!

Helped us pick out carpet for two rooms in our house. They had a great selection and they will definitely let you know what carpet they have discounted in their warehouse that week! The price per square foot includes a carpet pad and the install, which is great. Our installer arrived late because they had forgotten which day our install was and it was only one man when he did arrive, so it took the poor guy until probably 6 or 6:30 to finish. Overall we are happy with the carpet though

Our experience was the exact opposite of the sole review posted for Carpet Mills. We had our kitchen remodeled with granite and hard wood flooring installed. The owner provided exceptional service and was was accessible via his personal cell phone with any questions. The installers did a good job on the wood floors and the granite, our house looks great!
