The Deck Company

This is not the original Deck Company I used and I refuse to leave a positive review for someone that didn't do work on my house.

I would recommend the deck company. They was very professional and did a great job on my home.

We have called this company and emailed at least 15 times to get a deck built. No response. No return calls or emails. Will recommend going elsewhere. Bad customer service.

Requested an appointment for an estimate May 22, they scheduled appt for May 25 and that day rescheduled for May 26th. Took measurements and pictures and was told another manager would contact me to come take a look. I sent a follow up message on June 4th since I had not heard anything. I was told that they were working on it and another manager would come out. It's now August 4th and no contact has been made.

Install began weeks after agreed upon date. Many arguments with install crew and the owner had to get involved to get the project back on track. Failed inspection by Nixa City. I spent the time and money to install fasteners to hold the rim joists in place. Be careful, be very careful!

I don't have enough space to say all the great things about Mike and his crew. They are kind as well as fun. They have gone above and beyond for us and we could not be happier. One of the top professional companies in our 25 years living in Missouri we have ever come across. Thank you again Mike and the gang at The Deck Company!

I found an article titled "Contractor Red Flags" and The Deck Company ticks just about every box. Didn't show up for initial estimate. Shows up late for subsequent appointments. Missed deadlines and many excuses - and I haven't even given you the business yet! And I won't. Bid/estimate spec'd nothing - only the price and a request for 50% up front.

When I asked about timing/scheduling I was told I would have to pay the 50% before they would/could answer that. Proceed with caution. Or better yet - find someone else. Hoping the time I wasted on this process might save someone else.

I wish I had a photograph to share, but after 12 weeks, no work has been performed. There has been one delay (excuse) after another. Upon talking to the owner (and his unprofessional snarky giphys) it seems his attitude sets the tone. A quick search and I can see that I am not alone and this is the experience of many with The Deck Company in Springfield and Branson and that when they are recommended it's often the owner or his friends. Don't be fooled. It's a shame you can't leave 0 stars for 0 work performed. A sham.

Casey worked on various landscaping jobs for us including, a beautiful backyard patio with a fire pit and a front sidewalk to our house. He took the time to meet with us and talk about our ideas to formulate it into a great plan. He also buried water spouts from the house. He was honest and hardworking. I highly recommend him and would use him again.

We highly recommend The Deck Company. We recently had them to do an addition to our existing deck. Cole and Tyler were very professional with great attention to detail. Their outstanding quality of workmanship while working under some adverse weather conditions should be commended as well as completing the job in a timely manner. They were faced with several unforeseen obstacles but were confident in their ability to resolve all issues to make the final product look amazing.

These two young men went over and above to make sure we were happy with the finished product. Great job guys, you are a true asset to this company!!! Thanks to The Deck Company for doing an outstanding job!

We had The Deck Company replace our back deck that was falling apart. The price was very reasonable and the deck is built to last many many years! Thank you guys so much for the quality and the hard work put in! We WILL use you again if we need anything else!

We received a bid in April 2019. We put money down at the end of April with a quote of 6-8 weeks before we could expect our job to be done. We had to call 2 times to check to see if we were on the schedule and told the yes. Then after the 10th week we call found out they didn't even have the permits pulled which according to the city could take 1-5 days to get prepared.

What poor customer service. Then they said they could come out the next week. Since we had no idea if they were really going to come out, we asked for a refund. The salesman understood our issues however the owner then called us at home to find out what he could do to keep our business. He never apologized and was more concerned about his reputation than completing the project and what would be written about his company online.

We suffered countless delays during the deck billing process last year. This year we discovered that poor workmanship has caused the under decking to leak and true to form, the deck company Has not repaired it after weeks of calls asking them to do so. Sadly Thank , legal action may be my next recourse. Probably the most frustrating company I have ever dealt with.

We used someone else to rebuild our deck and, unfortunately, they didn’t build it to code and they did a terrible job. The Deck Company took on the project and fixed our deck! We had an open permit so they had to come more than once to correct things that the inspector and engineer didn’t approve. We should’ve used them the first time!

Absolutely amazing work by The Deck Company. They created an oasis in my backyard that is amazing!

I highly recommend this company! Michael and his crew did an outstanding job removing our old deck and building us our new sun deck and covered pergola! Very professional, great communication, and great workmanship are just a few characteristics that made our experience so great! Big thanks again to Michael and his crew.

I wish all companies were like the Deck Company! We needed a large deck replaced which means large expense. the Deck Company was HALF the cost of other local contractors. We now have a beautiful deck - the craftsmanship is impeccable, it looks great.

We needed railing added to our deck for safety. They gave a quote and were able to get it done the next day! Our deck looks great! Fast and quality work!

If I could give a zero, I would. Absolute worst company starting at the top. They are an absolute horror show. Do not use them.

Would like to say a huge THANK YOU to the Deck Company for building my growing family and I the deck of our dreams! Our deck has changed the looks of our house making it have a more modern look! We loved their work so much we are having them come back out to do another area for us! The crew was excellent and done a great job! We got exactly what we asked for could not ask for any better! I've always wanted a beautiful deck. And am now ready to get one. From what I've heard they build really nice ones. But upon dealing with a lady named Annete, I assume she and her husband are the owners from how she acted, I will be taking my business somewhere else.

Very professional. My crew went above and beyond. I was adding additional deck to an existing one. They did extra work to make right. The end bill was exactly the bid price. very skilled carpenters.

If you are in the market for a first class deck, The Deck Company is the company to call. Quite a few years back I spoke with what seemed like every company around that specialized in decks, and The Deck Company was the last one I spoke to.

I had them remove an old 2nd story deck on my walkout basement home and replace it with a much larger deck with 2 staircases. The old deck wasn't well built so I wanted to get a company that knew what they were doing for the new deck.
