In June of 2020, I purchased a brand new Trane Heat pump and Air Handler from Hybrid Air(my A/C went out and it was an old system so I decided to replace it) The Technicians were very respectful and professional when they installed. In December of 2020 my power bill was 3 times as much as it usually is so I called Hybrid Air and asked for someone to come check out my system.

The next Technician told me that my ventilation pipes that were installed are too small for the system and the original Technicians who installed no longer work for Hybrid Air. (Hybrid Air replaced the ventilation pipes free of charge hence the 2 star review and not a 1 star). The next summer(June 2021), my A/C went out AGAIN. Hybrid Air sent another Technician out who discovered and replaced a switchboard on my Air Handler(outside unit) again free of charge.

My brand new system worked well for the winter of 2021. In April of 2022, I went to a different company for a Tune Up Check on my system and decided to avoid Hybrid Air because of all the issues up to this point. The new technician from the new company came to my house and told me that my system was leaking refrigerant from an area that was improperly installed. Now, on my 2 year old system purchased through and installed by Hybrid Air, I have to pay for 8 lbs of refrigerant and 2 missing caps that are not up to code. (Total costs throughout this process: $10,500 for the brand new system, $3,000 for repairs in a 2 year span)I don't even want to approach Hybrid Air for fear of anymore unexpected costs. The only reason I'm giving a 2 star review is because Hybrid Air technicians are very respectful and professional. I would not recommend using them.

I made 2 appointments for the same day for 2 separate issues. I was told via online chat that the 2 technicians would be at my home between 10-12pm. It's now 2:30pm and no one has showed or called. I called and told that I can't go by what I was told online. The technician calls when they are on their way. No one bothered to tell me that. I didn't expect to wait around all day when I was given an appointment window. When I called to politely cancel, it didn't seem to bother them at all. I will find someone else who wants my business.

I called Hybrid Air for an estimate on a new Heat pump system. We currently have oil heat and it's expensive but our furnace died, so we are without heat. They sent Ben to come and give us an estimate. He was professional and friendly. The price they gave us was amazing! Since we were without heat, they offered to bring us portable heaters until install.

The day after our estimate, I received a call to check in. He was very nice and not pushy. Ultimately we ended up using the company that we get our oil from only because we had a hefty credit with them. If you are looking for a new system, give Hybrid a call.

Had several regular maintenance calls and the technician (chris) was always early and knowledgeable. When the unit finally died the tech was very friendly and went over my options and we agreed to a fair price. It was long after that the new unit was installed and while some molding damage was done to get the furnace in the attic they were able to get a professional drywall/carpenter to fix the issue.

Great company to use for your HVAC needs! I love the professionalism and safety-consciousness with them sending me a photo and background summary of the service tech who was slated to come to my house. The issue with my heat was caught and fixed within 30 minutes, and my tech, Tommy, was very personable. I definitely would use them again.

This company is great to work with and friendly staff too. Nick came out and helped with our issue and got the heat working. He also pointed out a few things I could do myself to help take care of our heating system. From the moment I called the phone number everyone I spoke with was friendly and professional and wanted to help solve the issue quickly and affordable. Will use them again if need be.

We had a pretty bad situation at my house. While we they were able to do well in the crawl space, and changing out an old water heater. The job is still incomplete and I do not understand how we already had 2 appointments to complete it, but still nothing. The plumbers did not finish securing a while in the yard where they dug up and yet still have yet to put a top over the sewer pipe that's in the front of our yard. Honestly it seems like easy tasks.

I was told they would be there Monday after thanksgiving, no. We had an appointment made 14Dec21, no show even after I called to see if the plumber was still coming I never received a call back about it when I was told I would after lunch. I'm not satisfied with the work, I paid way more than what I got for it. Crazy, I was told I'd be in good hands, after signing never heard from the guy that told me that and even still not getting the best communication with them. I haven't felt like I was in good hands with them since September. I feel like it was all about the money that I have to finish paying towards now.

Called their phone and it says closed will reopen next business day. However, on Google it says open 24 hours. Had this company for many years they also installed my ac unit and air purifier and attic fan. This is not the first time I've dealt with them. The other time is waking up around 2 am because the attic fan that they installed was not properly installed and was hanging down causing the fan to hit against the wall and make noise. Highly don't recommend this company, the quality of work and responsiveness is not acceptable.

Hybrid Air was 1 of 3 quotes for whole house duct cleaning and a bulb replacement. While they were a bit high, so glad we went with them. They are well worth it! Because of Chris and Tom's promptness, knowledge, professionalism and overall work ethic even in doing the extra little bits, I signed up during their first time service call for a yearly maintenance contract.

They may cost a bit more than others BUT the adage of you get what you pay for applies. When Hybrid Air was finished today, I was completely satisfied with the end result. Even if I had say a dungeon, these guys would know how to maintain air quality. Will breath here again.

We've used Hybrid Air for about a year and a half, spent a lot of money with them, and before today I would have recommended this company to anyone. Not anymore. On Oct 20, I woke up to find our hot water heater wasn't working. I called Hybrid Air, who got a tech out that day. He diagnosed the problem and gave us quotes for several options, including having us buy a new hot water heater and they would install it.

We had known for some time that our hot water heater needed to be replaced anyway, so after about a week of getting credit cards and loans and researching options with them and another company (including a phone call to ask questions about the quote), we decided to go with buying our own and having them install. Our install date was originally set for yesterday, November 4.

But we were called and told that they had accidentally overbooked, so they would come today. Then, this morning, we got a phone call saying that they did not have enough plumbers, so our appointment was now pushed back to Monday. I was also told that installing customer supplied water heaters was not something they normally do, which was not information given to me either when I was given the quote or when I called to ask questions about it. Hybrid Air did give me the option of refunding my deposit and canceling the appointment, but I doubt I could research a new company and get them to come out earlier than Monday.

So I am keeping the appointment, but it will be the last time. If you don't need to be a priority, give them a call - I was pretty happy with the work they have done for me in the past. But if you have any kind of dire situation, or you don't have the flexibility to wait for them multiple days, call someone else.

This company does not hold their appointment times. I asked two separate times for the early morning appointments and both times they missed the time slot. I had schedule both times at least 2 weeks in advance. This service was for HVAC maintenance.

What a scam! Chris Blanchard was the technician that came to my house. He wasn't there long. He said there was no need to inspect the outdoor unit when I asked. When I questioned maintenance on the unit, he replied other companies just do this as show. He also said to call him when my unit failed within the year. What a strange comment when he said my unit looked great. Interesting, shortly Chris' visit, my outside unit failed.

The company that I hired to look into it and correct the issue, said that the attic unit had not been cleaned. The Halo had been disconnected and had growth growing on top of it. I had to pay a second company to do the regular maintenance that wasn't performed by Hybrid Air. I notified the owner by certified letter asking for a refund. He never responded. This alone shows the quality of the company.

After several and I mean several estimates Hybrid was not the highest or the lowest but consultant arrived and within minutes he diagnosed our more than 12+ years a/c problem. after all these years many hvac companies, and a couple of compressors he found our problem right away. No hard sell for a new unit but offered to fix the issue if we didn't want to spend the money on a whole new system but we chose to get all new duct work, furnace and a/c. Dean our Point of Contact keep us informed of the start date arrived daily throughout the project even though we ran into an unexpected issue with the amount of rain that collected in our crawl space (which had never happened till this last month) His crew Matt, Kevin, Gage, Christian were TOP-NOTCH these guys worked so hard in the rain and cold to get us up and running, it really showed us the care and how much they put into their work and their customer service.

I have already provided their names to others to call. I really would not want anyone else working on my HVAC for regular maintenance or an issue but these guys. I know we thanked them a million times for everything but it truly wasn't enough.

Lots of HVAC companies advertise AC health checkups for $59, 79, etc. Well I called Hybrid Air and told them I wanted the entire dual system checked out. The technician said nothing looked wrong but could do a dial in tune up. When asked why he didn't check the other he states its not covered in the $90 because it was a diagnostic failure fee! WHAT! DIAGNOSTIC FAILURE FEE OF WHAT! THE $90 WAS SUPPOSE TO COVER BOTH DUAL ZONE UNITS BEING CHECKED OUT/TUNED UP AT MINIMAL LIKE MOST REPUTABLE COMPANIES WOULD HAVE DONE! THERE WAS NO FAILURE TO GET CHARGED FOR ESPECIALLY NOT ROGERING UP AND CHECKING THE OTHER SIDE FOR ONE FLAT TUNE UP FEE like most every other HVAC company would have done!

Absolutely completely PO'ed at this company for doing that to us and would not recommend this company in the least! Don't get taken of like me and please check the Yelp reviews first!

Contacted a number of places in the area looking for someone to install my ductless mini split that I had already purchased. I was surprised when when hybrid air stated they could install as most places will not due to liability. I was upfront with what I needed from the beginning. They sent an individual out named Dan. He looked at my unit, asked if I got a good deal on it, spent time surveying the area, taking pictures, checking out the breaker box, spent a considerable amount of time here.

Upon leaving he told me he would devise a plan for install and would contact me, this was wednesday. Hadnt heard anything by monday so I gave a call. Maiya, who answered the phone each time was very respectful and helpful and ensured me that I would receive an estimate. I instead got a call and text from a Jennifer informing me that I was already told that my unit couldnt be installed by Dan when he came to look at the unit.

She was very respectful as well and informed me that the appointment shouldnt have even been made. However, now I am without a reliable working unit in my home in 90+ degree weather and left scrambling. Make sure they can actually do what you need them to do before booking.

Hybrid Air installed a heat pump and air handler in our upper zone a year ago. We chose a mid-range priced system. After less than a month, the system was not cooling. I called, they sent a technician, he replaced a fuse and it worked for a day or two and stopped working. I called again and a supervisor came out and said the air handler was blowing fuses due to a short.

He also said he was getting shocked when touching the unit. He tried to trouble-shoot the problem but advised me to call my electrician. I asked why he couldn't fix it because they installed it. He said he didn't know why it was shorting. I called my electrician who fixed it for $155 and told me they didn't ground it properly. He also pointed out the messy work they did leaving screws, wood framing they had to cut to get the air handler in and electrical tape and caps. So, they didn't cleanup after the install.

I wrote the company, sent pictures, sent e-mail, called 3 times. Nothing heard. Now I get a bill for them to come and maintain the unit. I'll pass and will never use or recommend them.

You have a warranty. But labor is the trap. The visit to see what was wrong was 90 the visit to replace the wall thermostat 300. But the part is under warranty. The guy removed and replaced the old one like ten times during the 90 dollar visit but the price to put a new one on is 300 sounds like my warranty is worth shit when a new unit is 275. Still waiting service so still not sure if the thermostat is even the problem. Will update later.

Their truck drivers drive extremely reckless. I watched one on the highway going over 80 miles an hour cut off a truck and then slam on its brakes. It then got over two more lanes without using a turn signal while cutting more people off. Will never use that company for that reason

I used to be in their corner, but not anymore. I had a tech come out to do an annual inspection on Feb 11 2020. He found a gaping hole in my AC supply vent. I had a couple of concerns: 1) How could this have happened? We do not go up there and nothing is stored at all in there. The only two people who went up there were their techs. Aaron in July and the most recent tech Tommy. 2) As a customer I have the right to want to know what caused the hole.

After all, they are the experts. When I spoke to the tech he could not find any evidence of damage caused by rodents. He also couldn't tell me what caused it. Fine-then what caused it? Could this happen again without ever knowing the cause and possibly costing me hundreds of dollars more to fix it? I asked to have the CEO of the company come out to my home to look at it and I never got a response.

I had inquired if they could fix it and the tech said it HAD to be replaced. They wanted to charge me over $400 to do so! I went on line to youtube and found ways to fix it myself for literally around $20! A local company also explained how to tape it on their website. Additionally, the tech said he "tried" to see if he could fix it, but there was no slack in the line and he didn't want to kink the line.

There was plenty of play in the line. They tried to offer an additional 10% added to my service contract discount, but it would still be over $400. I waited for the company to respond to my request to come out and I finally said forget it. I contacted them and said I no longer wanted them to service my AC. They are not out for my best interests! When I cannot trust a company, it us time to move on. I gave them an excellent review the first time. They lost my business!

I don't recommend them at all. Don't waste your money. Ben Young is so mean and unprofessional. He is the owner of the company. Even there is no agreement about the $90 estimate visit, they forced us to pay $90. They didn't find anything wrong with the AC. They did the inspection in 15 min.

Needed the supply valve under on of the bathroom sinks replaced, the valve was non functioning. I can do most things but the valve was soldered in and that isn't something I do. Clearly stated that in the service request which I guess they didn't read. When I spoke to them on the phone and asked rough ball park they said there is a 90 dollar service fee and the tech would have to determine the cost but it didn't sound like too much. had a between 2 and 4 appointment, tech got there at almost 6.

He wanted to know what faucet needed replacing and I explained (again) not the faucet but the hot water valve under the sink. When I asked how much he said 400, they have a one hour minimum and one hour is 400. Couldn't the gal on the phone tell me that? 400 for a 15 minute job? Anyway, after looking he said I have to run to Home Depot and get a valve.

What kind of plumber doesn't have 1/4 inch valves on the truck, especially after being told that is what needed replacing. So he says, I'll be back in 10 minutes. Not unless he has a Star trek transporter, the closest Home Depot is about 30 minutes away (if there is no traffic). So another hour goes by, returns and instead of a solder fitting, he has a compression fitting, (didn't find that out until after he was done) wasn't what I had asked to have done, but at this point I just wanted it done since it was now almost 8.

I negotiated the 400 down to 250 but that is still way too much for such a simple job. High points, not on time, no clue what the job was, didn't have the parts needed and after a trip to Home Depot came back with a different fitting than what I had specified. Would I use them again, not a chance.

Your comments are much appreciated, and sounds somewhat convincing. However, calling my cell phone and leaving a brief message doesn't warrant this response. As requested, I called you back the following day and have yet to hear back from you personally. The comment about it being raccoon dropping's has yet to be determined by anyone within your company. Furthermore, in order for a raccoon of that size to have gained access to my attic, there would need to be a opening outside large enough for that to happen.

No where on the exterior of my house is there even a remote possibility of that. But you wouldn't know that, because no one from your company has yet to come by to make that determination. Also, unbeknownst to you, I have spent over 10 years in the Pest Control industry and have personally inspected a multitude of attics for many various rodents.

I have only come across a small handful of attics that have had raccoons. All of which I was easily able to find an access point. Also, every customer that has had this problem has always heard them prior to having it inspected. I have not once heard any type of noises in my attic day or night. So in response to your request for me to give you and your company a chance to "make things right" I offer this response. Convince me that it's a raccoon and all this will go away. But until then, I am convinced in what I believe to be human and not rodents or raccoons as you have stated.

I can't say enough good things about this company, their employees, their level of professionalism, their willingness to go above and beyond their job description on a daily basis, and their overall human compassion and kindness. Kurtis, the General Manager of the company, was the first to respond to me and take my problem seriously when I had been calling contractors for almost a full month just trying to get someone to respond and actually come to my home to evaluate my situation.

I had a 25-30 year old original duct work and A/C system, that had been sweating so much due to the high heat and humidity (and lack of insulation in the attic and the duct work itself) and caused a lot of black mold that was spreading rapidly. After an evaluation of the property he conducted himself, he determined I definitely needed a new HVAC system and all new duct work, but he also found that I needed my attic insulated, as well as a professional restoration for the removal and remediation the mold problem.

He took charge of the situation, and not only managed the HVAC portion of the job, but also managed the entire project including the scheduling of estimates and work of all the other contractors as well. I didn't have to worry about if the restoration company was overcharging (and they weren't. Based on several other quotes and information from a friend in the business, they actually helped me out SIGNIFICANTLY as far as the price).

I didn't have to worry about conflicting schedules between the workers. I didn't have to worry about the people going in and out of my home. At the end of the day, my situation was so bad, the total overall bill between all the contractors was around $25,000. That was a hard pill to swallow, and when Kurtis broke the news to me, I broke down in tears. he took the time to calm me down, express his most sincere condolences, but then reassure me that although the cost was high, the cost and consequences of not doing the work was higher.

He coached me through every step of the process, and even took it upon himself to purchase and deliver the new vanity I had to get for my bathroom, and just factored it into my bill. I know this is a novel of a review. But I want to be sure that ANYONE looking for the best and fairest company with the best and fairest prices immediately goes with Hybrid Air. Kurtis, Dalton, George, Neal, Akeem all deserve raises, promotions, and any other accolades available to be given for the quality of care and service that was provided to myself and my family. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Just had Someone helped me repair all the mistakes that hybrid air did with my AC. After I spend over $2000 w this company my ac broke again and I was told that warranty expired one year ago! Called another company, who where GREAT! And honest! And charged me 25% if what hybrid did! Never use this company!

Beat Everyone Else We are really careful consumers. We talked to several contractors over a period of weeks before undertaking the installation of a new AC system. Our old one was not actually old but it was busted. That company would do nothing to help us. (But that is a another review) Hybrid Air made it very clear what we were getting, how much it would cost and when it would happen. and, even better, it all happened just as they said it would. We are very happy.

We purchased our new HVAC system last May, right before the hottest time of the year. We were absolutely suffering with temps as high as 87 in our house the summer before last. They came in, put drop cloths down so as not to make a mess, and replaced everything in one day. It is top of the line equipment. We have been comfortable ever since and our power bills have gone down by more than half.

We just had our last cleaning of the year by Andrew, who was very pleasant and professional. Everyone from Hybrid Air has been so nice throughout the whole process and we couldn't be happier with our purchase and service! I would go so far as to say that this was one of the best purchases we have ever made!

We own a good-sized, three story home that was built in 1995. Our biggest problem was the master bedroom. And, while summers are rather short here in Michigan, we'd have at least a month when my husband couldn't sleep because the bedroom was too hot. We looked into many options to try to solve the problem.

Our home is one and a half stories with a finished walkout basement. We have very high cathedral ceilings in the living room and until recently, we had very uneven heating and cooling throughout the house. We had a few rooms that wouldn't cool in the summer and wouldn't get warm in the winter. Plus, our infant's room and kitchen both face the south and were very hot.

Ours is a very large, two year old, 3 story home with a walkout basement and we had a major heating and cooling problem. The upstairs was unbearably hot in the summer and the lower level was freezing. The builder we used and even the equipment installer didn't know how to remedy the situation.

We had a few cold bedrooms upstairs and a cold breakfast nook surrounded with windows off the kitchen. The rooms furthest from the furnace were either too cold or too hot depending on the season. And in my situation, we weren't able to install new ductwork in that area because we couldn't get to it. The new Arzel zoning system allowed us to use existing equipment and ductwork.

My HVAC and hot water heater needed to be replaced. Both had to be installed in a small utility closet without blocking access to main water valve. The only company who took on the challenge at a very competitive price was Hybrid Air.

I purchased a home that Hybrid Air already installed a new Trane XL20 in (good system). Called for service after about 6 months and they were prompt in getting there and saved me the service charge by signing me up for a service agreement which I planned on anyway.

Very responsive, hi fast and complete service. They are not the cheapest, but if you check the quality of their equipment, you'll find that they only install good quality - with minimum 2-3 choices for you.

Worst mistake we ever made was to hire Hybrid Air and allow them to install a Trane Split System. Better think twice before allowing these folks any where near your home. We were told by another company that a split system would not work in our home.
