Recycled
Report
As consumers, many of us are careful to collect our recyclable materials and turn them in for collection. In reality, though, we are offered very few consumer building products that are high in recycled content. METAL ROOFING, however, offers that option to consumers by allowing them to choose a significant building product on the basis of its recycled content.

Started the work request on 9/9/2019. We payed them our first check from our insurance company on the 09/16/2019. There clerk did not fill out their work request paperwork properly, and failed to articulate that this was an insurance claim. We did not hear from them again for 2 weeks, we called on the 3rd week to be told the work would be started the next week, after the job was still not started that following week we called weekly for an update.
From the time they were paid it was 5 weeks before they finally started working on 10/14/2019. They completed the job on 10/15/2019 where the term of the agreements were not met. They did not clean up, they failed to magnetize our yard for nails and metal clippings from the roof, and they did not replace the existing vents. The TreadLite Roofing company over ordered the sheet metal roofing leaving several panels in excess.
When my wife called and ask about keeping the extra metal, or having the excess discounted from our remaining balance the person in the office became very rude and confrontational. My wife requested an itemized receipt of materials and labor costs and was refused, she was also informed that they over order on all job requests and that was a normal practice.
After a heated conversation the man decided to tell my wife that she is what is wrong with society today and requested personal information to include her age. The man demanded payment regardless that this was an insurance claim knowing that we needed to wait for our insurance company to cut the check due to the clerks failure to note that this was an insurance claim from the start.
The office new and understood that this was an insurance claim from the beginning as my wife was required to join them at their financial institute in order for the check to be deposited due to the nature of it being from the insurance company and not a personal check. The Treadlite Roofing crew that did the installation, are great they did an amazing job.
Over all horrible experience and will not recommend to anyone. We also check with the BBB and they are not accredited as they're paperwork pro-calms them to be at the top right of their paperwork

Do not trust this roofing company. In 2012 we had our 35-year-old roof replaced (it had never once leaked but had some hail damage). We went with Treadlite despite the fact that their estimate was more than $1000 higher than the other estimates we got because Treadlite was a local company and had a lifetime warranty on their work. We paid extra to have new flashing/skylight kits put around 6 skylights in our sunroom.
Within a couple years we noticed leaking around the skylights. Treadlite did not respond to our many, many calls so I posted a bad review of their company and finally David called. A crew came out and David asked if we paid for skylight kits since none had been installed. They did agree to fix the problem but when they came out, David saw (and told us) his crew had broken our glass skylights and they would have to be replaced.
He agreed to replace these—we assumed with the same kind of skylights—and to repair the considerable damage to our ceiling. Instead, David put plastic bubbles over the skylight holes and left it at that. (He did say that the original project manager, Lloyd, had been fired for issues just like this. That’s a real comfort to me and my leaking skylights).
Since then, the “skylights” have leaked and leaked and leaked to the point where the wooden ceiling has started to rot out. After leaving many messages and even going in person to the shop, Andrew did finally call to see what could be done to make things right. He left a message but then did not call back when he said he would, did not respond to my calls or texts, and did not follow up on “making it right.” It is clear Treadlite does not intend to fix the problem they created.
I had three other roofers come out to take a look at the problem—one of them asked me if the new skylights were a DIY job! The price for getting new glass skylights with kits will be about $5500. We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and plan to follow up with a lawsuit if we cannot make Treadlite honor their warranty and fix the massive leak/rot/roof/ceiling problem they create.
All of this after paying nearly $10,000 for an asphalt roof. If you plan to actually live in your home and expect the company you pay to make good on its work and warranty, this is NOT the company for you.
PROS:
None
CONS:
Poor Workmanship
Refusal to make good on service/product warranty

Cheers to Treadlite Roofing for making the unplanned installation of a new roof a pleasant experience. I received four estimates, and Treadlite Roofing's was the most professional, as well as the lowest. They were the only company that showed us their insurance information, Better Business Bureau ratings and training certificate, and they provided the estimate on their initial visit.

Andrew came to my home to see about a possible leak on or around my skylight. This is a real gentleman. He looked and searched for possible leakage from a roof that was put on by another company. He took the time to go on the roof, in the attic and all around the roof. He told me that there was no problem around the skylight etc.
