Friendly people to work with and they do good work but, be sure to get estimates in writing before submitting to insurance. They'll charge every penny your insurance pays out, even if money was allotted for other things such as roofs on outbuildings. One roofer cussed like an absolute sailor while there. I picked up roofing nails by the handful for nearly a week.

Also left sharp metal shavings, gutter nails and debris from gutters absolutely everywhere. Didnt put elbows on two downspouts as they said they would and left the rain sensor for my sprinkler system just laying in the side yard. Only gave 4 stars because they were quite kind to deal with and they do qualify work.

The installation crew of NINE were incredibly respectful of our property and did such quality work in a very timely fashion. They kept things picked up as they went and removed debris each day! The onsite inspectors and crew leader made sure all the contract details were adhered to, as well as doing a final inspection of the installation to insure everything was as it should be!

The job was completed on-time, with no "surprises" or upcharges(as other companies tried to tack on), everything is PERFECT and now my neighbors now have roof envy! A-1 tore off our old roof and replaced some rotten decking before replacing our new roof. They tore off one day and replaced the next. 2 days! Our house is @ 3000 ft. Very professional and efficient. We signed with A1 to re-shingle our home. They seemed to do an excellent job. When we signed the contract with Chad he was very knowledgeable about what A1 would do and answered my questions. I had one specific question concerning my backyard.we have dogs that needed to go out now and then. The yard IS fenced and I asked if the crew would be in the back at all.

His reply was "yes for clean-up and such". I told him that the gates HAD to be kept closed. He said he'd inform the crew--. *PERSONAL NOTE*-- When the crew started work, we told them about the dogs, fence and the gates HAD to be closed if the crew went into the back (dogs were never in the yard when the crew was working), they assured us they would make sure gates were closed.

After day one they asked to place ladders in the back to prevent them from being seen from the street after work, which we agreed. After they left, I happened to go out and found a gate left wide open. Had I let the dogs out, they would have been gone. We told the crew the next day about the open gate and they said they would "be more careful". The last work-day was Saturday, Sept.4th.

When the crew finished the job, they cleaned up all around the house. Before they left, we said goodbye and I asked one of them if the back gates were closed. They replied "Yes, they were sure they were shut" It was after dark, so I let the two dogs out as usual. One came in but the other was still out. After a half hour, she still had not come in which was not normal.

I went to look and found a gate left wide open and the dog gone. We drove and walked all the area looking for our dog. We had flyers made and posted in stores and yards.even posted on social media. By Monday we thought our dog was gone for good. On Wednesday, we had a call from a lady saying she found our dog.nearly two miles away from our home. We picked her up.she was hungry, thirsty and very scared.

Somehow she managed to go across 2 very busy streets. Sunset and then South Campbell) without being struck by cars. She had been missing 4 days. We had raised them from 8 weeks old and they are 7 years old now and it was like losing a part of the family as much anything can be. If you have a pet, you know how we felt. We had told the company people (who came out later to check the job) about the gates left open and losing our dog and their response was, like, "TS. Mac" ( any vets out there will know what THAT means) they didn't care. OK.rant over. I can only hope they put on shingles better than knowing how to close gates!

These folks were amazing! Showed up on time with a full crew, stripped the shingles off of our house and replaced with new in under 2 full days. We have a fairly large house and the efficiency was unbelievable. Cleaned up great around the house, was courteous and professional. Not to mention their pricing was better than other companies and wasn't because of lesser quality or materials. They also offered transferable warranty at no extra cost that others wanted to charge for. You won't regret calling this company.

Very professional from our initial meeting with them to the completion of our new roof. We originally contacted Chad at A-1 for a roof inspection when buying our new home. He provided excellent feedback and reasonable price for some minor roof repairs. Over the next 4 years we called Chad many times for advice on roof leaks due to an aging roof and he was always available to stop by within 24 hours.

The project (house and garage) was completed within the two days promised and the crew was very professional in how they did their job. They cleaned up the area at the end of each work day and worked well around other carpenter and painting contractors working on the house at the same time. I especially want to compliment this crew on their work ethic.

I am sending this letter to let you know I was very pleased with the work A-1 did for me. I informed the salesperson at A-1 that I had a medical condition requiring surgery and needed the work done as soon as possible. They brought in a large crew and removed the old roofs and put on the new ones in a matter of days. I've never seen a crew work as hard or diligently as these guys.

I called for an estimate for roof repair on Friday Mar. 25th - this is Tue. 29th & still no return call. Business must be good.

A-1 installed our new roof Aug-Sept 2015. This month, Mar. 2016, I noticed a small water leak under our covered porch near the back side of our fireplace. Called A-1 with Steve responding the next morning and not finding a sure leak area, thought water may have entered just above the roof line where the vinyl siding meets the brick fireplace.

They said they were a couple weeks out on scheduling but would put me on the list. Had my roof fixed within a week. Awesome job!

I would like to compliment you on the crew you sent over to do our new roof. Charlie and his boys were absolutely wonderful. Among other things, they were prompt, courteous, friendly, listen to the few suggestions I had, and extremely meticulous in cleanup at the end of each day.

I called A-1 as well as 2 other roofing companies to request bids for badly deteriorated residential roof. It had not been re-roofed in the 12 years I've lived at my house and was well past due. A-1's bid was not the lowest, but it was the company that made me believe they would do the best job for the money. I was not disappointed.

They are awesome. The estimator was very professional, and gave a written estimate, that was lower than some of the other estimates I had received. The crew did an excellent job, and cleaned up after themselves (no nails left in my yard).

Has 24/7 emergency service, called never received a call back! I in turn called back talked to answering service again, was told that if they do not feel you are in an emergency you will not receive a call.
