J & J Quality Construction

I've worked with a lot of contractors during my 15+ years career in the design + build industry and J&J is by far the worst. They hook you in the beginning as they seemed pleasant and responsive however it was apparent almost immediately after the job started that they had a hard time following/ taking instructions. J&J took it upon themselves to make design decisions and tried to cut corners throughout the duration of the job.

After being called out multiple times, Robert and Michael became unhinged and started acting out very childishly and aggressively. This was not a large job that required constant onsite coordination. J&J was contracted to demo the existing finishes and fixtures and install new. They were provided with design drawings for the bathroom tile layouts however J&J failed to comprehend the design intent and again chose to do things their way.

Before the contract was signed, it was discussed with J&J that I would be overseeing the job since my parents don't speak fluent English and because of my experience in the industry. However this became an issue for J&J as they rely on working with clients who don't know which questions to ask or what to look for. After roughly two months on the job, J&J started threatening to abandon the project before citing material delays and contract end date as the reason for doing so.

However job delays due to material unavailability are common in home remodels/ construction and there is no contract end date. The end date is when the job is done. Not only did J&J not complete the job, they wanted to be paid as if they did. J&J sent my parents a letter from their attorney demanding full payment and directing us not to contact J&J directly however all phone calls and emails sent to their attorney have gone unanswered. Additionally we found several faulty switches (as a result of J&J vandalism) that needed to be replaced. J&J was paid all but half of their final payment which was used to hire new subs to complete the job.

The work that J&J did complete was done very poorly. Please do your research, look at their past work, call their previous employers, interview their subs, and ask around town. We are not the first client that they've left high and dry. At the end of the day, no matter how well you sell yourself, you can't hide your lack of experience, talent and professionalism. There aren't enough words to express what an excellent job J and J Quality Construction did on remodeling our two bathrooms. The jobs were done and completed beyond my expectations. The team communicated well with us with a day to day progress and never left us wondering what step was next in the remodel process. The team's day started early each day up till the completion of the projects. I would definitely use J&J Quality Construction on future projects and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to have a remodeling or new build job done.

Excellent Contractor! Hired to remodel 3 bathrooms and laundry room. Replace large arch window, build custom fireplace mantle, and outdoor lighting. The remodel was done professionally. Any issues were handled in a timely manner, workers always showed up on time and wore masks if asked. Responded to texts and phone calls in a timely manner. Sub contractors all did great work. Property was left clean. Mike and Robert we LOVE our new master bathroom! My dog liked these guys too.

J & J Quality Construction remodeled our kitchen which included taking out a wall and building and installing completely new cabinets. They worked with us to keep our existing floor and were careful to remove it and then later re-install it. Further, they accommodated our wish for a butcher block countertop instead of the typical stone. They were extremely professional throughout the entire process.

We received text messages the day before someone was scheduled to come and the workers were punctual and hard working. Further, everyone was very friendly. The construction area was always clean and well maintained. We love our new kitchen and it is exactly what we wanted. I can only recommend their services.

Be forewarned. J&J is more expensive than a cookie cutter Home Depot job, but what you get is worth it. We had two projects done and they were 100% customizable. We were even able to sit with and adjust the electronic designs in their studio. They subcontracted with a painter who did great work and was really easy to work with. The guys from J&J were responsive and did things when they said they would.

We were not super picky, but when we asked them to move a knob or drill an additional hole, they were happy to do it. We are very happy with their work and will go with them next time we want to get something done.

I hired J&J after getting a couple of quotes to do counters and slight remodel of kitchen and 2 baths. They gave me a complete quote and I really appreciated how they broke down the payment schedule and listed the "phases" in the which things were to be done. They were readily available by text whenever I had a question. I would even ask their opinion on certain design aspects and they gave good input.

All the workers that came into my house to work were polite and easy going. We are almost to the finish line and we just added another project for them to do. Would recommend to my friends and family.

Enjoyed working with J&J. Can't say enough how responsive and direct everyone was when we had questions or concerns. We feel our investment was taken as serious by them as it was for us. We felt confident our needs and concerns were important as the process came along. Remodeling can be stressful and on edge as it is. I recommend this company and thier compassionate, professionalism 100%. Pics are of the job 90% complete and we were already very happy.

We recently hired J and J construction to remodel our kitchen and it's almost done. Their great to work with. Very professional, listened to us and even offered suggestions! Homerun! J and J did a fantastic job on our master bath remodel. They communicated well throughout the whole process. They made good suggestions from the beginning and made sure we were all on the same page and happy with the work as they progressed. The project was also finished on time. We cant wait to work with J and J again on our spare bath and kitchen.

I am beyond pleased with the work of J & J! I contacted several businesses to inquire about installing a pergola/trellis above our west-facing front walkway, as well as building and installing a custom wrought-iron gate to create a mini-courtyard. Robert was very responsive, professional, and I was pleased that he was willing to do both jobs. His bid was reasonable, he offered great suggestions, and he gave (and stuck to) a project timeline.

Everyone who has seen the completed projects has commented that they look like they were always meant to be there -- they match the overall look of our house extremely well. I would not hesitate to contact J & J again for any other type of job.

J & J did an amazing job in converting our den into our home office. We reached out to probably 10 other contractors, but most of them wouldn't do the type of job we were requesting, or gave us a very high quote. J & J told us right away that they could pretty much do any home job we requested, and were also the most reasonably priced. They finished ahead of schedule, were quick to respond, and were receptive to any concerns that we had. We had a positive experience with J&J and would recommend them.

I Absolutely LOVE my barn doors Great quality. Rob and Mike Really listened to what I wanted and delivered. I will definitely be using them again for my home needs.

After the people we first hired did 20 k in damages we hired J & J to redo and finish what was started. The crew was easy to to work with, friendly, and very clear about what would be done and when. We didn't notice an imperfection in the kitchen ceiling texture, but they did, and they did it over. Everything else was exceptional. We'd recommend them to our family.

The Jackson brothers are a great team! They used highly professional sub-contractors and kept the process moving along. Most importantly, they took care of all the details. The kitchen cabinets were made in their own workshop and are top quality. Overall, well worth the money.

Best descision anyone could ever make. Mike and Robert make you feel like family and the same goes for their crew and theyre all very professional. Our kitchen turned out much better than we anticipated and a month later we still cant believe its ours. We would definitely hire them again.

We cannot even begin to explain what a wonderful experience we had with J&J Quality Construction. We interviewed five contractors - some bids were higher, some lower, but we got a fabulous feeling about this family run operation. From the appointments which they were always on time for, to the final product of our new kitchen and office, they were incredible.

J & J completed our kitchen renovation and it is beautiful! We received several quotes and the price was not the lowest but reasonable and it is a small family owned business. Robert and Mike were genuine, personable, and professional as were the subs that were used. They were very accommodating to last minute add-ons and my nit-picking of details. Super easy to work with and nice work, will hire them again for future projects.

I have an almost hundred year old house with small closets and not enough bathrooms, so I wanted to create a master suite with a bathroom. J&J Quality incorporated everything I wanted into the plans and gave great suggestions to improve on my hazy idea of what the project could be. We converted a large bedroom and the two small closets between it and the master into a bathroom, nursery, and two large walk-in closets.

The guys at J&J Quality were so helpful, accessible, kind, and honest that in all my future projects, I will always go to them. They used their great knowledge to trouble shoot problems that are bound to surprise you with old houses, and field permitting and tower district aesthetic limitations. They pay a great attention to detail to make sure all their work is quality and showed great courtesy to me as their customer and someone who had to live with the adventure of construction on my bedroom while eight and nine months pregnant.

My wife and I were very pleased with the work completed by J&J quality construction inc. Their quote was reasonable and most importantly they did exactly what we wanted. The extensive work was completed in a timely manner. We plan on using them for additional projects.

We recently purchased a home and quickly realized that a master bathroom renovation was in order. J and J Quality Construction was one of 4 quotes we received- while they weren't the most expensive, they weren't the least expensive either. We were so impressed with Mike and Rob, we decided to chose them for the job. Rob came to our home for our consultation appointment and was very knowledgable and helpful in helping bring our wants and needs to fruition.

The contract process was extremely easy and straight forward. We were able to chose our materials and were able to stay in budget with their guidance. The team from J and J Quality Construction as well as sub-contractors were all very prompt and professional- always arriving on time and respectful of our schedules. J and J Quality Construction completed our bathroom a full week ahead of schedule and we are over the moon with the results.
