I am filing a complaint to show how disappointed I am with this company and how very unprofessional of a company this is. I ordered one small scissor lift with two tables that operate independently of each other from Air Tech Ind instead of building it ourselves because they gave me a fair quote and I assumed this would be very easy considering there was nothing really too special about this unit.
When I called in to speak with the sales person in the first place I had several questions and depending on the answer to those questions would lead into another set of questions in which the sales man had no understanding of the product so it would take several days to get an understanding of what could and what could not be done. Instead of allowing me to speak with someone that had the knowledge to answer these questions I was forced to play phone tag which was very time consuming and frustrating.
In hind sight I should have seen the flags when the first drawing was sent appeared to be on a bar napkin (hand drawn and very unprofessionally presented). After weeks of back and forth drowning modifications I was finally sent to an Engineer that could help me and the drawings were signed off on. I was given a delivery date of the first of April and it is now the 12th of June and I still have NO lift.
After I finally received the lift (late June) they decided to place the lift on a cheap crate to ship it and it was held down by three metal straps that could not hold the weight so by the time I received it the crate was busted and the straps broken. There was damage done to the electric motor that operates the cylinders and one of the electric cords cut.
After we looked over the unit we saw so many flaws from unprofessional workmanship and missing paint in several locations. This unit was a trial unit for a costumer that could have potentials of 4-5 more and that is not going to happen with Air Tech. The sales man, Kyle, has lied several times about the unit being on the dock ready to go which is quite obvious it was not.
We have been advised that the salesman Kyle is no longer with the company but the upper management still seems to have no concerns with our unhappiness with this unit and only offered a pint of free paint that I had to use to fix their mistakes. I would HIGHLY suggest to anyone looking at this complaint/review to run to another manufacturer because this one is as far from professional as it gets and we did try to make things work but were unsuccessful. Also they took our money at the time of the order, which was placed 4 months ago. Martha & Todd
