Benton Green Energy

After having new windows installed in February and new HVAC installed in March, I still had some issues with keeping heat in my home. I knew the reason was bc of my attic/knee wall access areas. He went above and beyond to not only insulate these areas but he made sure the returns were sealed also. Called in his friend Ross King (Even Air) who has a HVAC biz to make sure everything was being done properly at no extra cost! Also he is a certified contractor for Duke so I was eligible for 350$$ In rebates! He did all the filing for me. Very happy I called Dean.

I hired Benton Green Energy roughly 3 years ago. While there were initial issues with some of the work performed, I have been impressed with Dean's commitment to excellence. It seems he will not rest until the job is done right. His level of communication and desire to provide quality work is refreshing. He has assured me he would rectify the problems. Update: Benton Green Energy took care of all previous issues, and did an excellent job. I am very pleased with this company.

Dean was very professional and thoughtful of what my need was. Looked at everything in the house to make sure I wasn't wasting power in other unnecessary areas. President (Dean) was very nice and worked on the site with his crew. Something you don't see much of anymore. They made a great effort to keep my floors clean and free of any insulation that they may have brought in on their feet. Setup site was left the same way it was when they started. I would most definitely recommend them to anyone!

Dean had excellent customer service skills! He was honest, great with communication and expectations! We discussed a lot of options and he provided quotes for every potential option, then gave his professional opinion in what he thought would work best for our house. Dean was helpful in understanding what was best for our home insulation. He did not quote any more than what I asked for during the visit. He answered questions after the quote was issued in a timely manner. When they did the work, they were efficient and cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend Dean for all your energy efficiency needs.

Working with Dean was a great experience! He showed up when he said he would, did the work he said he would in the amount of time he said it would take, and for the price that we had agreed on (which was substantially less than his competitors). He did his best to mitigate the dust (which my wife was concerned about), and he cleaned up the interior and exterior before leaving. Dean and Brandon took the time to seal the attic penetrations with spray foam before blowing in the new insulation which is one of the most important things according to what I read online. Again, its hard to imagine being more satisfied with a provider. Thanks Dean!

Great job and better price then the other 2 companies I contacted. Had my pest guy, who also installs dehu's and barriers, look over it after the fact and he said it was a beautiful job. Benton and his guys were on time, took time to discuss everything and our hardwoods un-tightened in a couple weeks. It's been a year and we are very pleased!

I hired Dean to insulate my ceiling. He and his crew were prompt and professional. They did an outstanding and thorough job. My home already feels toastier and holds the heat much longer. Can't wait to see the savings on my Duke bill!

I'd give less than a star if I could. Dean Benton did the load rating for the house I built and moved into earlier this year. Base on his report the house was equipped with an A/C unit that is way under powered for the square footage I have. I can't say it doesn't operate within Dean's "math and science" but like a computer, garbage in - garbage out.

The system will not hold temperatures on hot days and on normal days it can't even control the humidity enough to keep the house comfortable. Now my house is less than a year old and I am going to have to replace my A/C system at my expense. Run don't hide.

Short and sweet: Excellent price, excellent work. I found Mr. Benton while searching online for attic insulation installers. Another reviewer on a different site mentioned they liked how he properly sealed their house BEFORE installing insulation. Dean did an excellent job, worked hard, and made sure the job was done right. Here are some details of my experience: * Dean came out, inspected the house, and gave an estimate. * He emailed a contract document detailing the work to be done at what price. * He showed up on time with his necessary equipment. * He tested the house to see just how well (or not) it was sealed.

He was also able to nail down the largest problem areas in testing to know where to focus. * He worked hard to make sure the job was done right. It took a long full day due to our house needing LOTS of seal work, being an older home. He stuck it out even with his assistant not showing up to work the same day. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't hesitate to contact Mr. Benton.

While I am enjoying the great insulation and its savings, it came at a cost. My exterior walls have popped out of the studs and are bowed out. I was told to just keep pushing them in and they will flatten out.

Very impressed by the work done by Benton Green Energy! From initial phone call thru final payment, they were excellent to work with! Great customer service and we are already able to tell a difference in our home!

Benton Green Energy is a rare find! Finding a contractor that not only meets expectations but exceeds them is quite rare these days. We had another contractor start and not finish a job. We contacted Benton.

Scope of project involved removing old attic insulation, air sealing attic, installing new insulation in attic beyond basic recommended levels, air sealing leaks from basement to living space, air sealing duct work, HERS rating, and calculating appropriate HVAC size.
