Called to unplug floor drain. Sent a guy out without the equipment that other companies had used previously. Using a hand held wand, next option was to offer up an estimate for like 9000 dollars! This was all done while it was just my wife handling business as I was at work. And took $250 and left. I Called another business and next day the guy had it done for 100 dollars using a power auger. They just showed up and said the job was not simple and left a half hour later basically, simple as that. End off day, took the money and left.

Was too upset to write a review before. Do not use this company. They did not do the job we requested, but did a different service with a HUGE price tag. When we tried to "work" with them to find a compromise, they refused. The company is way over-priced, and not reliable. No one needs the stress they cause!

Tell you that it will be returned if they do not do the work If you cancel the appointment, (even within 24 hours) they keep your money and refuse to return it. This company takes advantage of seniors and disabled veterans. Do not trust them.

They are 0.3 miles from my house and were a hour late. Spent 10 minutes looking at my tank with a cell phone flashlight and then told me I needed a new $2200 hot water tank. Cost me $100 just for them to come out and I guess I get that but when he asked if I wanted him to get the pilot light relit so I could have hot water until I replaced the tank, I didn't think he would just press the button on it like I had already tried. He then charged me $20 more because he attempted to light it. It didn't light by the way. Don't think I'll be calling them again.

Be sure you request an estimate for anything you think about having this company do. I had them check my main sewer line with a camera to see if a certain procedure (CIPP) could be done (this doesn't involve digging up the driveway)--or if I would have to get my concrete removed for the repair to be made and then new concrete poured. I had two companies check my sewer line--this company charged more than twice what the other company charged.

I brought this to Eric's (the owner, I think) attention, he never responded to me. I respectfully asked for a refund for a portion of the excessive charge and was ignored by Eric. I will never use this company again, and I will recommend to anyone I talk to to avoid them.

First company I called couldn't find a problem with my water heater going out. Tech from pipe doctor told me to look for squirrels - I thought he was bonkers. 3 days later the wildlife removal company pulled a squirrel out of the vents. Needless to say we had Pipe Doctor install the new water heater. They carry Bradford White which seems to be the best. I think they use contractors as at least one tech has no idea there was an "office" on Lewis but I don't care as long as the work is good.

I would have liked to have given a better rating for this company. The technician was super nice and he came to my home the same day promptly. What should have tipped me off is that he tried to give me a quote for a new water heater right off the bat, without even looking at the water heater. I told him I thought it was the thermocouple. The quote was really high but I was desperate for hot water.

I totally get the $139 charge for after hours. Which I was glad to pay. He installs the new thermocouple, Tries to light it a couple times, but he realized the gas was still shut off. Turns on gas. Tries to light it again, thermal couple doesn't stay lit, then says it's the gas regulator, and that I might as well just get a new water heater because of the price to install a gas regulator.

I asked what the charge would be because it took maybe tops 15 minutes to install. And furthermore, he didn't even seem to troubleshoot it for that long. He said well technically I did the job it's $439. (300 labor)And said that if I got a new water heater he would put some of that money towards a new water heater. I just felt screwed over. I told him I'll wait on the new water heater.

It just felt fishy, I called Bluflame the next day, they came out, Looked at it did some adjustments, lit right up, he said it was not worth writing up and did not charge me for coming out. I would like a partial refund from Pipe Doctor.

We called Pipe Doctor as our well had suddenly appeared to stop working and this company said they serviced wells. The technician they sent out spent 4 hours here "running diagnostics" and eventually told us that whatever was wrong with our well (which he wasn't sure what was wrong) was above what their company could fix. We were charged $936.00 for not only nothing, but for damage done to our system.

It turned out our well was just frozen so the next day when the water unfroze, we discovered the technician left our well lid untightened and water was spurting out of the well on all sides. My husband had to leave work to come home and fix the issue. The technician also inappropriately adjusted our pressure switch and when the water came back on, it was shooting out of our faucets.

We had to have the pressure switch changed out because of this. To top it off, we have been trying to reach the company to discuss our concerns and obtain a itemized bill of services provided for an entire MONTH and keep getting told they are too busy to call us back. They originally came to our house on February 6, 2021 and we have been calling weekly with absolutely no response. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

Major ripe off. Workers are slow and they take forever to do the job. They make excuses for why things when slow or when the fix fails.

Overcharging, especially the senior community, seems to be their motivation. This is the statement provided to spend less than 30 mins in my mother's basement. It doesn't add up. I will be contacting the VA, who apparently recommended this company, as well as the BBB. The exploitation needs to cease!

Emergency service for broken water pipe. Very professional and quality work. But GOD was it over the top in price. Replaced 6 inch run of 1 copper pipe and installed a fitting and a 1 inch brass ball valve. Exceeded $1000. Service: Pipe repair

I'm sure this review will appear to good to be true, but the reality is they are. Before reaching the pipe Dr. and Eric (the owner) specifically we were given no answers only speculation as to why ( as we had been out of town) we had a sewer leak(yuck ) in the basement. Erik new we had to address this quickly and didn't have a team available so came out himself and quickly diagnosed the problem.

His team (forgive me for not remembering their names) came out, spent the day here were incredibly able, efficient, and neat. As they left we felt so assured that they had done the job expertly. Do not hesitate to use this company, workmanship and manners of old. Thanks again!

Charge according to time spent, and how tedious the job, but the charge should fit the job. It is understandable that a plumbing job as well as electric work consist of skill and knowledge, but the charge should not out weigh the job by more than 200% so lower your prices

I have used Pipe Doctor Several times in the past. I had a leak at one of my rental properties and gave them a call. They were quick to arrive and found the problem. Due to the scope of the work involved, they had to come back the next morning. ( called them at 4PM) They showed up the next morning bright and early with all of their equipment and got to work. The project took longer than they expected due to some unforeseen circumstances on my end. They are my go to plumbers. I can't recommend them enough.

Considering the covid situation and people being out of work or retired on social security they could careless Quoted over 900 dollars to clean a sewer line that I had done the next day for 165. And still. charged 200 for just showing up. so called weekend rates

I called needing my sewer stack pipe replaced due to a long deep leak in the cast iron. The cracks were so long and in two sections, so the concrete surrounding the stack pipe ended to be excavated. Josh came out for an estimate and was very professional as he walked through the house and showed me what needed to be done. The $99 dispatch fee had been a surprise since I wasn't told about it in advance, but according to the internet it's a pretty normal thing.

Just wasn't aware that I would need a check that day. The scheduling worked out quite well for me, because another job of theirs needed to reschedule and I got slotted in right away. Josh, Rick, and another guy showed up within 15 min. of when they said they would and worked from 8:30 AM until about 5 PM. They replaced all the cast iron pipes in the basement, which included cutting into the concrete about 2 ft cubed, reporting new concrete and filler, removing and reinstalling the toilet, fixing 3 smaller copper pipes that each had leaks, replacing a valve for my ice maker, and hauling away the old concrete.

The cleanup of the basement of dust has been annoying, but way better than having to mop up anymore waste water from our basement. Yuck! Thank you Pipe Doctor for your help and experience!

They charged $200.00 just to pull in my driveway. then charge $400.00 to pressure check the return line. said it was leaking. Next the used a listening device to check for leaks. Marked the spot total charge was $850.00. we cut the concreat back to the skimmer from there mark, no leaks were found. Called several times and not response for 4 days. After speaking with the agent that checked the lines he said there are no guarantees they could find the leak. Asked for his supervisor to call me yesterday and he still has not called me back. post from David Brooks.

Arrived first thing in the morning to remove / replace a water service. Stayed into the evening to finish and insure everything was satisfactory. Would highly recommend PIPE DOCTOR for their superior workmanship!

I called "early" morning and made an appointment, they said they would come out in a few hours. Never showed up nor called, didn't even returns my several calls to see what happened. I have used their services on the past was satisfied. This time I was very disappointed.

I needed someone to look over my house before I sold it, and then fix some problems they found. Eric and his crew were incredibly fast to reply and to schedule, professional, knowledgeable, and made the whole thing a lot less stressful than it could have been. Eric went above and beyond to help with some of the buyer's bank's concerns, and I'm so grateful that even after the work was finished he was willing to take time to help. I highly recommend Pipe Doctor!

Pipe Doctor is the best in town. immediate call back. response time less than 1 hour. great demeanor. very caring. had the problem figured out and a solution very quickly. discussed the different options thoroughly.were able to start on the job immediately. I can't say enough about the team at Pipe Doctor and how knowledgable and caring they are to help quickly when an emergency happens! HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for any plumbing needs!

Nick was very knowledgable. He was kind and respectful in my home. Probably one of the nicest people out there. He was proud of 33 years in this field of work and showed dedication to his employer. The work I needed done turned out better than expected. Though the prices were a little expensive, the fact that the work was warranted for life and quality of product pays for itself in the long run. Compared to most plumbers the prices were reasonable as well. This company is definitely recommended for larger plumbing jobs because of costs and quality.

Called them out the 18 year old kid came out with one snake then had to drive 30 mins away to get another snake couldn't get it down the pipe. then charge me $314 and my drains are still clogged. can't even throw my money down the drain, they just steal it.

I can't say enough good things about this company. Eric came to the rescue on Saturday evening & went above & beyond to make sure our 81 year old father had hot water before he left. It was like he was taking care of his own family with the care, respect & compassion he showed. This is one family who will never call anyone except the Pipe Doctor in the future. This company is unorganized from the person taking the call to the management team (assuming there is one). Customer service isn’t what they claim to be. When you take a 1 to 4 appointment, expect them to arrive between 5 and 6 if your lucky. Would never consider this company again.

Bill came out to look at a clogged draing inside my Pet Styling Salon, he was very professional and funny and honest about everything up front including cost. After snaking out copius amounts of hair he actually in the hair found my wedding band which he gave to me. This company is an honest company with excellent customer service fromy original call through the actual maintnence service itself. I highly recommend this company as I cannot express how truly wonderful they all are.

They came the same day, even just having an ice storm, and did not hesitate to be here even with the bad roads. Matt was very nice and personable. He was in and out quickly but with the job complete. Not sure if the price was good or bad since I have never had to call a plumber before. It was worth getting it fixed so we had water.

Just my bad luck, it was late Saturday night when our plumbing problem began. Just my good luck, I called Pipe Doctor and he was there to help. We had tree roots blocking our pipes and he was able to clear them for us. Pipe Doctor solved our problems and we appreciate his prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service.

This is an edited review. I work for a small neighborhood church in the City of Toledo. The funding I have to work with is limited. I recently received a letter from the City of Toledo requiring (1) water Backflow Assembly unit be checked.

I have used Pipe Doctor for various plumbing issues over the past 3 years. The plumbers are always courteous, professional and perform excellent work. They recently installed a new toilet for me. They are always on time and I have never had a problem with the work they perform. They are usually here within an hour of when I place the call.

To their credit, the service rep came out that day and fixed everything to my satisfaction. They did not charge me any more for the job. I think this is their biggest plus as a lot can be learned from a company when you ask them to come back out and fix something after they've been paid. Service rep was very courteous and professional.

Found out the shut off valve didn't work right. so it was a problem on my end. Service was prompt and affordable. was a little difficult to reach the technician for a follow up question, but overall service was pretty good.

I highly recommend Pipe Doctor. They take care of our problems promptly and present themselves in a professional manner at all times. They are a great company to do business with.

Called them for an emergency repair on a Sunday evening. Fast response, very thorough service. The plumber even coordinated with my sewer/septic provider over the phone to diagnose a problem. I'll call them next time I need a plumber!

I have used Pipe Doctor for the last 5 years. They did my whole house as it was renovated and added on in different phases. They never had a problem with the Inspectors and everything has held up pretty well over the years.

Highly Disappointed. They never disclosed the hourly fee upfront. The tech was supposed to call prior to him arriving at my house so I could leave work to meet him. I felt bad that he was just sitting there, so I gave the receptionist the code to the house. Upon my arrival he was already working. He found I had a frozen pipe, but ran out of propane for his torch.

He asked to use my hair dryer; however, we lost power. He charged me $337.50 for 3 hours of work, when he only worked 2 and I was left with the pipe still frozen. I was left shocked at the price and dumb founded when he said hopefully the temps warm and the pipe thaws on it own. If not, give me a call. When I reached out to the owner he simply put it to me that I am one of those people who thinks other peoples time is worth nothing.
