Directly out of high school, Scott Melatti began mowing lawns for his paper route customers in Brookfield, CT. By 1979, Scott began Scott's Landscaping and in 1993, this first generation business became incorporated. It continued as a maintenance company, working twelve months a year maintaining properties in Brookfield and Danbury, Connecticut.In spring, summer and fall the crews performed mowing & maintenance and winters snow plowing. Scott built the business slowly over the next 34 years expanding to Bridgewater, New Milford, Roxbury, Washington, Sherman, New Fairfield, Kent and Pawling, NY. However, his dream goal to eventually own a nursery, came to fruition in 2000.

Our crews install all facets of landscape masonry - everything from simple patios, walkways, stairs, walls, edging and driveways to terracing and extensive engineered projects. Some of our clients prefer to work in phases over many seasons while other projects have been completed in one phase from start to a picture-perfect finish.

Had called for a landscape estimate and was kindly offered an appointment.after rearranging my work schedule to be home the day of the appointment.no one showed up. No call to apologize for missing the appointment.nothing! And since then still nothing.while I believe in supporting local businesses.this is the reason why people don't.

We visited this nursery on a Saturday and were amazed at the quality of larger trees and conifers available. Everything was stocked to the brim so choosing the most perfect specimen will be easy. We did not purchase anything as we're dealing with other projects at the moment, but we will be back for the fall planting to pick up a few of their larger conifers.
This is a must visit nursery, it felt like a walk through a professional botanical garden. I'm still blown away by their larger tree selection; most nurseries just cater to the smaller things but here you can literally buy a 20 foot evergreen.

In November, we planned to buy several evergreens at Scott's. The salesperson named either Bob (or Doug) because he did not introduce himself was rude and sarcastic when we asked for the price and discounts which they advertised. The experience was very negative and unpleasant. Previously, when we bought various plants and shrubs from Scott's, we were treated cordially boy other sales' people, for example, Matt, who served us was very helpful and knowledgeable. We were very disappointed with Bob;s (or Doug's) attitude.

Our Christmas tree graced the Chancel in church. It was purchased from Scott's up on Route 7 near where Pastor lives. There is a great selection of plants and trees at Scott's in the spring, summer, and fall. It has a great Christmas the selection. A few people told Pastor that we finally got an artificial tree this year.

Thank you to Scotts Nursery! You were all a pleasure to work with, David, Scott, Donna, Melody and others. As you may recall, we had a white paper birch replaced after the power company took down the one we had planted 20 years ago. We are very happy with the replacement. The men who came to deliver and plant the tree couldn't have been nicer.

Very Disappointed. I have been shopping at Scott's for years. After purchasing a Juniper bush that died. We planted it as we were told to do so. After 2 months it died. I took the plant to Scott's to show them what happened to it. They said it died from Frost in May. They did not honor and guarantee. I will no longer shop at Scott's. To bad I always thought they were great. But different thoughts now.
