Reitz Roofing

Very disappointed in our experience with Reitz Roofing. We submitted a warranty claim for our shingles and Reitz cashed the check even though the amount received from the warranty provider was only for 50% of the expected amount. Per explicit wording on the check, the Warranty Claim was considered final as soon as the check was cashed, so we lost thousands of dollars. Reitz knew that my husband was trying to resolve the situation with the materials provider but they cashed the check anyway. Even worse, they did not send us our 50% until 3 months after the check was cashed. Would not recommend.

This company was hired to install a new roof on the house I was purchasing. His crew broke my cellar door and replaced it with a piece of plywood held up by a broom handles. When I pointed this out two of crewmember named Jim Golden, suddenly my broken cellar door disappeared in an act that I can only guess was an attempt to cover up the evidence.

I reached out to the company four times left a message on my number and no one ever got back to me. The door was not new, and I was not expecting a new door but I was expecting something a little bit better than a piece of plywood held up by a broom handle. I have a child and this is dangerous as he could get and the seller and the broom handle and plywood could come down on him. Absolutely ridiculous that they broke my door, then took my broken door and now won't respond to me. So unprofessional

Great experience. Good price, came out quickly and replaced roof + other items needed. Had county inspector come out during and after to sign off. All done within a week. Great work, thanks

Reitz Roofing did a great job! They were efficient, on time and provided me with the product my HOA required at a fair price. In an industry that is plagued with substandard contractors, this company is a standout! Mike was very responsive and Rita was delightful!

By far one of the poorest experiences with a contractor I have ever experienced. We were required to use Reitz through our home buyer's request on the inspection report. They were never able to give us a time or date that they would arrive and threw a fit when they couldn't come on the one day of the week where we could not have any work done on the house (even asked why they couldn't come.cause I work that day), their customer service rep on the phone was rude and snippy, and they didn't request any payment when they finished the work so we had to call them and check to see if we could receive the invoice. Still not sure if their work will match the estimate agreement, but with this company, who knows? 100% would not recommend.

Reitz originally installed the roof on the house I bought, there was a manufacturer defect I the shingle after a year. They came out and shipped off a sample to the manufacturer and took care of the warranty in a timely and professional manner. I would recommend them. Thanks for the clean and good work!

The buyer's realtor requested we use Reitz Roofing for a new roof. After numerous phone calls by both myself and the realtor, it took 6 months to send an invoice. Their communication was terrible throughout the process and the owner is unfriendly, at best.

We are so impressed with this company and their employees! From the owner to the laborers, they were professional and did quality work. And the City of Arvada's Inspector was impressed as well! The rain had them behind but it sure didn't slow them down once they got a nice day. One day, yes, one day and they had our roof completely finished! And we have a large home.

They cleaned up wonderfully! Left our property better than they found it. I have already recommended Reitz Roofing and will continue to do so! Thank you for your integrity and fast & courteous service!

Highly recommend! We have used Reitz Roofing 3 times within the last 10 years, and couldn't have been happier each time. They just completed our latest project with a quick turnaround time (as is usual), and it looks great. We've always found their pricing to be the best, and you don't sacrifice anything for quality.

We've been working with Reitz for nearly 5 years. Their staff is responsive, knowledgeable, and always remembers us and our home when we've needed them to come by. Our 95 year old home had an odd leak that was very hard to pinpoint and they worked tirelessly to find and fix the source, coming out multiple times to help fix the issue. They replaced our roof after a hail storm and also put up a snow barrier to help protect the north brick wall from moisture damage.

The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is because some of the crews were a little sloppy - they didn't fully clean-up our yard after the roof replacement and they missed a couple spots with sealant. But that crew was temporary for the summer busy months. The main team is excellent and they have corrected any mistakes made, which were minor. Definitely recommend the Reitz team for your roofing needs.

Reitz installed my roof when we bought our house in 2011 and the job was done fast, professionally and was very affordable. Through no fault of theirs our swamp cooler began to leak and did a little roof damage. I called Jim, the manager, and he showed up to my house in under 20 minutes. He quickly diagnosed an issue with the swamp cooler and our whole house humidifier, which was set much too high.

Even though we were out of the warranty period he sent someone over to redo the areas around the swamp cooler and at no charge. If you are looking for a new roof or having a problem I highly recommend using Reitz!

We had already been through TWO unreliable roofing contractors. In swooped Reitz Roofing. They understand the meaning of relationships, business continuity, customer service, word of mouth, ethics, reliability, quality and follow through. They came out to inspect the roof, sent a quote the same day, and within a week, we had the roof repaired. We had waited OVER 6 months, wasted time with two flaky contractors, and we are ecstatic with the results. Reitz was affordable, communicative, responsive, FAST and dependable.

When it comes time to replace our roof, or put a new roof on our garage which we plan to demo - we will ONLY call Reitz Roofing. We highly recommend them and give them the highest rating. A++!

BEWARE.this company is ran by con artist! So many more reliable local companies. The owners of this company have various businesses throughout the area and non are legit.

Edited review: When I'm wrong I'm wrong. I previously left a much too hasty negative review of this company. First off, my roof looks great and the price was excellent. That was always the case. There was a minor issue with clean up and a couple small problems that needed addressed after the roofing crew left. but once these things were brought to the company's attention they sent someone out the very next day to make it right. That's proper service, and my cynical review was unwarranted. Thanks Reitz Roofing for the top notch customer service.

I recently had my hail-damaged roof replaced by REITZ ROOFING. The foreman, Jim Golden, took the time to advise us on roofing materials and made sure we had the color roofing we wanted. When it was time for the job, Reitz came with a big crew and did the job quickly and efficiently, and were real careful not to leave any mess. I'm not sure if other roofing companies do this, but when the job was done they sent a quality control guy to make sure the job was done right.

He found one torn roof shingle and an area he thought should have more nails, in case we got a really bad wind storm and, in a few days, someone came out to do the additional work. I didn't price-shop, but I thought that the price they quoted was fair. In any case, it was less than the insurance company quote. I'd recommend REITZ ROOFING.

Wonderful to deal with. I called probably 10 times with questions before hand and they had to deal with my attached neighbor as well. They always patiently answered all questions and got the project done ahead of schedule. Both crews I had out (on 2 separate jobs) worked super clean. Will definitely use Reitz on my next house.

The worst experience I've ever had with a sub-contractor in my life. They pretty much destroyed my house, causing at least $50,000 worth of damage when the first hint of snow came along in November. Almost a year later all insurance litigation is concluded and I'm ready to just simply say that they did an absurdly bad job. I could go on and on for paragraphs but other reviews have detailed just how bad these guys are.

They performed some work for us, installing a vent. I assume it went well. They were easy to schedule with. My frustration with them lies in their estimator Jim referring a dry wall contractor--also named Jim- who failed to show up for a scheduled appointment. Of course, this is not the fault of Jim the estimator. However, when I called Jim the estimator for another referral he said I should hold off from using anyone else and he would reach out to Jim the dry wall guy and call me back. He never called me back, which is irresponsible on his part.

Reitz is very friendly. However, they installed an EPDM roof over a small area of my home and did not put an adequate slope on it. They did admit to making the error when they came out to quote the repair. Water is pooling in the corners and now (3 years later) a hail storm caused a small tear in one corner. Because the water is pooling, we now have interior damage.

I called reitz, they came out to access the damage and then told me they no longer have the crew to install this type of roof. Took 3 weeks and a dozen calls talking to 3 different people to get this info. I asked if they warranty their work. No response.

Reitz Roofing is very communicative and went above and beyond with my new roof. They even pointed out a way they could help with an issue with my ceiling that I was having at the time and did the best job repairing it. Reitz Roofing was also highly recommended to me by my realtor who has worked in Denver for many years.

Let me start out by saying I'm sorry this is late. Reitz put a roof on our 1910 brick bungalow back in July of 2016. As a realtor I'm always appreciative of my clients who post feedback about their experience with me. However, for whatever reason reviews when you are happy are like those re-usable grocery bags. You always mean to remember them but rarely do. I'm sitting here with a colleague and her clients need a roof repair.

I could not be happier with the entire crew from scheduling, to estimate to new roof install to follow up. Reitz Roofing were nothing but professional. The crew laid out tarps to collect the old roofing materials. (4 layers of roofs over the years) They had a gentleman going around and constantly cleaning up what what not caught in the tarps. The new roof looks amazing on our house and garage.

I was so impressed and I have to admit the folks who we bought the home from had already had the bid from Reitz and sadly I almost did not utilize their services cause of some of the lack luster reviews I found. I'm here to tell you, I'm very happy that I did indeed follow through with choosing Reitz Roofing and I'm always happy to recommend them to my friends and clients.

Simply the BEST! I've used Reitz roofing for over a decade, had them re-roof my home and 4 rentals that we own. And they do a great job! They always beat the competition in price. They wrap my home in protective tarps and plywood, then they can completely strip and reroof a home in 24 to 48 hours.

Shoddy workmanship for a supposed reputable company. They actually made the roof look worse and did the minimum allowed to get the permit finalized. The owner, Bernie was actually no help. He said the roof looked fine and it was like that before. The next day it didn't pass the inspection. If you want a roof done without any issues.do not use this company!

Our duplex neighbors had a roof installed by Reitz without telling us. Reitz went ahead with the installation, knowing that the roofs would not match. While the onus was on our neighbors to discuss their plan and roof choice with us, we were also surprised Reitz did not stop by to a) see if we were aware that they were about to install a mismatching roof on half of a building or b) at the very least, try to sell us a matching roof.

When we contacted them, they laid all blame on the owners, and saw no responsibility for the outcome. We are now going to reroof our house; all three roofing companies that have come by to give an estimate are shocked that Reitz did not communicate with us before installing half a mismatching roof on a building.

Nightmare! Having used Reitz in the past, we called them immediately after a hail storm damaged our house last spring. The experience that ensued was a true nightmare. Our home was damaged May 2014--the roof was complete/passed inspection in spring 2015.

They got back to me with an estimate for replacement of the roof within 3 days.

I had wanted them to certify the roof rather than replace it. I emailed and asked why they wrote an estimate for replacement. They responded immediately and explained the damage they found and why the roof could not be repaired or certified. I contacted my insurance company and filed a claim. They adjuster reported the same information back to me as Reitz.

When one of the other roofing companies got back to me (more than 10 days later) they confirmed what Reitz had said as well. So these guys were giving me a straight estimate and they did it quickly and at a better price. It is hard to know if you can trust a roofing company when they tell you it has to be replaced. These guys were honest and had better customer service.

They used to be good, but then their customer service went downhill. Bad communication. We no longer use them.

We had our roof done by Reitz (my previous review mysteriously disappeared). They sub-contracted out the work. The "subs" showed up a couple days early before I had had a chance to notify my neighbors that we were having roofing tiles removed. To those of you who are uninitiated, some roofers make an attempt to carefully funnel roofing materials in to a dumpster.

Not these guys. Large roof tiles went flying all over the place with NAILS. in to our neighbors gutters everywhere. The tar stained our sidewalk, I still find remnants in our garden to this day. Then they started installing subflooring as a foundation for the new roof tiles, but as part of our contract were required to replace some wooden paneling on the underside of the subflooring.

I tried to get them to stop installing the subflooring because they were missing a step and rework would be required. The contracters had no idea what I was talking about (didn't speak English) I called the office and Bernie who had give our quote was unavailable, so they proceeded to install all the subflooring, roofing tiles, etc. Then when I was finally able to reach Bernie a week or so later they had to rip out their work (as I we expecting) then redo it.

Terrible workmanship, terrible experience. This was a $12,000 job mind you not inexpensive at all. Our roof has leaked twice in the six years since we had the work done. I would carefully consider my experience before you reach out to these guys. I am always hesitant to write scathing reviews, but I gave these guys a chance.

I LOVE THIS COMPANY.I have been selling real estate in Denver for 33+ years and I have never ever found a better roofing company. EVER! Their prices are very FAIR and their service is impeccable! Bernie and Jim and Rita are like FAMILY when you call.very very helpful and friendly! and. I have used Reitz Roofing several times over nearly 20 years for work on three different houses. The latest, in late 2011, was a tear-off and reroof of a flat-roofed garage, efficiently and neatly done in one day. For no additional charge, Bernie Reitz also personally sealed the dormers, pipes, vents, etc on the house roof, which had leaked during a couple of heavy rain storms. This and previous work was all done professionally and promptly, at a lower cost than competing bids. Reitz will be my first call for any future roofing work.

Reitz Roofing was not only highly, highly recommended to us by our realtor and house inspectors, but they offered some very reasonable rates. We have used Reitz Roofing's services twice. The first time we used them was for a roof inspection, which was performed for free, for a house we were under contract for. The roofer was able to find four layers of shingles on the roof that were not visible to someone standing on the ground and even our house inspector who climbed on the roof missed it because the layers were purposely very well hidden by flushing.

The second time we used Reitz services was for the home we now own. Our realtor had them do an inspection of the insanely steep roof on our old Victorian house. Fortunately, they found the roof to be in good condition, but the flat roof on the garage was in need of repair. The gave us a quote and after the sellers got several bids from other companies, they decided Reitz was the best value (1200 for replacement of the entire garage roof).

With little notice, they were able to squeeze us into their schedule when they found out the work needed to be completed prior to us closing on the house. They managed to perform the work quickly and do a good job while they were at it.
