Kennedy Restoration

A year ago in May this company was recommended for their "outstanding" service, I contacted them, got the estimate and repairs were started in August! Communication is poor, their fees are a ripoff, this company should not be in business! They say their right but end up being wrong, they wanted to do the bare minimum repairs when that would not have fixed the main problem and caused the damage all over again in the future!

It took months to communicate with anyone in the company as they tried to bill for repairs that were not even done as they were not necessary and tried to charge my elderly mother for these! It took a year from the time of the estimate, complete repairs and fix the billing to get this company out of our hair! I CANNOT say they are an EFFICIENT company in any way!

This company should be taken out of business, there not on time, they don't communicate, and they rip off the low income and the elderly! They lie about their costs and even bluntly lie about the work they have done! They definitely don't deserve even 1 star! Chance and Caitlyn and everyone besides Sergei, and the man that did the flooring need to be FIRED!

On top of Kennedy taking advantage of my elderly grandparents they trippeled the price and threatened to take my grandparents home AWAY if they didn't settle the bill! Someone needs to turn this company over to the BBC and maybe even APS! Of course your out of the office probably fine dinning on someone's expense! That's all we've ever heard from ANYONE AT KENNEDY! No surprise and I'm most positive you will NOT get back to me! EVER!

It's been months. There has been almost no communication, they NEVER show up when they say they will, my condo is all messed up and worse, now, with the "work" they've done so far. They don't return my calls, they've said they've come by when they haven't. We just want our home back so we can go on with our lives, but I suppose that's too inconvenient for them? Finally, if you look at the critical reviews, they will do everything they can to tell you you're wrong, not them. Interesting approach. This company should not be making money, this company should not exist.

The day I was moving in to my condo it rained and there was a major water leak in one of the windows. Kennedy arrived within the hour and truly came to my rescue and put a barrier shield on the outside of the window to prevent further damage and put fans in to dry the carpet. I was very happy with the restoration team that came afterwards to take care of the caulking, painting and replacing the carpet pad.

We had a circulator pump that had a pinhole leak for an undetermined amount of time. Water damaged most of the drywall and the floorboard in the room below the leak. Kennedy was recommended to us (we had used another company for restoration of another leak in our home a year ago and were only somewhat satisfied). Kennedy did a tremendous job. The Kennedy team did a fantastic job of assessing the job and conducting all repairs, matching the floorboard wonderfully.

The team was very compliant with recommended COVID measures and were extremely respectful of our time and space. The true test was the end result- after they completed their work, it looked as though nothing had ever occurred. We highly recommend Kennedy.

They have been competent, clean, communicative and considerate of us. Their work has been timely and thorough. We could not have asked for a better experience. Tom Ferris, one of their estimators has been especially helpful and gone out of his way to help us thru our project. Kennedy is an A+ team.

Saw one of your drivers swerving in & out of traffic on SB I205, merging recklessly between cars.then again on Airport Way. Train your drivers better! Safety first. I don't care how late for an appt. you are. Also, remind your people the name of your business is on the side of your vans.not too bright.

My estimator was Chance Goldade. He was great and so patient with me during the insurance crisis. Thank you Chance for holding on and helping me through that debacle. You really helped me out when I was feeling lost during the insurance battle. It really meant a lot to me. Thank you Chance. My project coordinator was Walt Cooper. You definitely treated my misfortune as it was your own home. It's rare to find people with your talents and positive attitude. It really was a pleasure working with you. The condo turned out better then I'd envisioned it would, thanks to you Walt. To summarize, I am very happy with everyone at Kennedy. I could not be happier with the service and professionalism of everyone I've come in contact with, in person, email or phone. I am in the insurance industry and found myself with black water toilet leak in master bathroom. We have tile everywhere and had no idea the toilet was leaking. I called Kennedy Restoration and have been treated like a QUEEN! They have gone above and beyond any contractor I have ever hired. We have a huge amount of tile that needed to be removed and replaced. Nathan, Aaron and Faye and the cleaning team have gone above and beyond!

The tile contractor has done a beautiful job! I will post my before and after as soon as it's completed. We are almost done! Beautiful and perfection is all I can say. The most professional group of folks I have ever dealt with! Everyone so considerate and respectful with masks during Covid.

Kennedy Restoration is an amazing restoration company, the best we have worked with. We hire them exclusively for water leak mitigation and restoration work at the building I manage in downtown Portland; 234 units, 18 floors, 1 full city block. They are professional, timely, friendly, knowledgeable and accountable. There has not been a service we needed that we could not rely on Kennedy to arrange for us.

What I find amazing is they treat our building as if it were their own. They have expert project managers, estimators and on site supervisors who take a lot of the stress off of Management. I can't speak highly enough about them! You will be in excellent care when you hire Kennedy Restoration.

Thanks for almost killing my family with one of your vans ON PURPOSE because of your road raging employees.

I had accidentally left the water running in the kitchen in the apartment that I was renting on December 1st, 2019, and it had over-run from there into the living room, and they hired Kennedy Restoration, via Reba Bailey, to fix the issues and wasn't completed until January 24th of 2020. Ms. Bailey refused to speak to me or answer my questions, however, after an $8000 estimate I was given a generous 10% discount after 13 requests for copies of estimates and prices.

I'm a single parent, Kennedy took advantage of the fact that I didn't have insurance, while the apartment manager told me that I had no say so and did a remodel on my dime. I got a second opinion, and they stated that it should have been about a $2800 job. 1. There was a random hole that popped up while I was on vacation (Merry Christmas!) that they were going to charge me in the laundry room. 2.

There was a random spot of white paint on green paint by my china cabinet in the dinning room about 3 feet off the floor where there wasn't any water damage. Why was that there? 3. Kennedy didn't hook up the dishwasher to the water valve when re-attaching appliances. I had to put in a work order and wait a week for my apartments to attach it. $64.56- Where's my refund? 4.

They charged me work on the ceiling when there was 1 inch of water on the floor. 5. They used 2 Large Dehumidifiers and 2 Air Movers for a Kitchen and Livingroom in a 990 SQ FT. Apartment. It felt like the tropics in July for a week. $966.50 6. The linoleum that was glued to the concrete floor that was dried with no damage, but, Kennedy ripped it up and replaced it with higher end vinyl and chipboard that more than doubled the cost. $602.25 7.

They drilled air holes in the drywall above the trim instead of under the trim, and then replaced 18 inches more of undamaged drywall. 8. The cupboards were dry, however, they took them out, repainted them, and brought them back in. $801.79 9. They broke some of the counter top off while removing it.

Kennedy, while expensive, merits five stars for the work done on our condo. (The job was fairly straightforward, replacing drywall and painting after some water damage.) The estimator was thorough and responsive to questions--and helpful in dealing with our insurer. The work, while done by a subcontractor under Kennedy's supervision, was done professionally and completed on time. We couldn't have asked for more.

Our garage burned down three nights ago. They were out the next day surveying the damage and the next day came to clean up the outside debris and board up the damage and sent an electrician to fix another fire-related issue. They are extremely responsive and thorough. I highly recommend them!

I would recommend Kennedy for water abatement services but definitely not for reconstruction. The rebuilding of our house took over 2 years. We had three different project managers. The insurance company had to step in on more than one occasion to find out why the process was so slow. Just over two years later, I am dealing with a house where parts of the exterior paint is pealing off because it wasn't primed before it was painted in some areas.

I had never had a house burn down. Needless to say, it was quite a shock. If I could turn the clock back, I would have hired Kennedy to deal with the immediate fire issues and then would have gone to a qualified contractor to for the rebuild.

My home recently had a water leak resulting in significant damage. I called Kennedy Restoration and they immediately responded to help me out. Their fans and dehumidifiers prevented further damage. Once the areas were dried out their specialty contractors did an excellent job of repairing and painting the drywall. It almost feels as though the areas in which they worked are "better" than they were before the damage. All of the employees were professional, experienced, friendly and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend Kennedy Restoration and or use them again if needed.

Dave is great! We had a pretty messy situation because another contractor did a very poor job and was dishonest. Dave was responsive, took responsibility and cleaned it up. Thank you!

Had a surprise mold issue pop up while remodeling a shower and was in need of emergency remediation. I called Kennedy to see what they could do and spoke with Matthew Steimle who was extremely helpful. He quickly sent someone out to inspect the job and gave me detailed instructions on what we needed to do and what they would be able to do to get our shower ready to be re-tiled.

The crews they sent out were clean, professional, and on time. Needing restoration work can be very frustration and Kennedy Restoration made the process much easier. I highly recommend them.

Kennedy Restoration was amazing! They came in and gave us an estimate with our water damage in the crawlspace. They were able to fit us in their schedule quickly and had the work done very timely. Their employees were friendly and went out of their way to take care of my new home. I would highly recommend Kennedy Restoration!

Kennedy Restoration was the best. Quality work with excellent staff. Joel worked on the Nonna Emilia resoration and remodel. He did an excellent job. Would recommend Joel and Kennedy for any job.

If I could enter less than 1 star, it would be done. I have never witnessed such poor quality workmanship in my life. I had MULTIPLE shoddy repair efforts that ultimately caused more damage than I had to begin with. Shortcuts- yes. Excess billings for things that didn't happen- yes. Lack of follow through from their estimator- yes. Un-returned phone calls- yes.

I will say the one person that came to do the mitigation was friendly and communicated well when he would be late, however you are never told that you will be billed for the extra days on equipment and machinery when it isn't convenient for them to come retrieve their equipment. I had my home in disarray for more than 5 months. When I opted out of a 4th attempt to repair the same damage- it took my new contractor 1.5 days to complete the work. He was quick to identify what Kennedy had been unable to repair for months. Be warned- YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF FINANCIALLY FOR SHODDY WORK!

Made an appointment, took time off from work and they never showed up. Didn't even call. Stay away from this contractor

If you use them you will regret it. They never showed up on time as told. So my whole day was lost, many times. Their work crew was a lot of temporary agency workers. Bickering amongst workers. Kennedy's crew, consisted of sub-contractors. All of whom, were incapable of working in tandem. I complained about the gutter job and the overseeing Kennedy, said to me " oh, there just gutters." Water flies right over them.

They put in a new electric panel. Now when I wash, the lights go from dim to bright, while the washer runs. My roof job, they recycled the old metal panels. They were bowed from tree falling on my house. So they were not flush to gutters. I complained, and each sub contractor blamed the other. No tarp was laid down, so I had nails on drive everywhere.

Where they painted, the wall is covered in mold, unlike rest of my house. The valley of my house, the panel cuts look like they were bent back and fourth, like an aluminum can, to fit, instead of a nice clean cut. Where the roof was done, all over are jagged cuts sticking up waiting to slice me open when I clean the chimney. KENNEDY's RESTORATION good luck with that.

Kennedy Restoration did a very big job for us in bringing our home back to normal from smoke damage. Customer service was very good and we never had any problems with their work. We highly recommend them for any restoration work.

Kennedy Restoration was contracted by the seller of my newly purchased home but the seller did not complete the work. I was given a reduction on the price of the home in the amount of the estimate that Kennedy provided to remove large amounts of standing water in the crawlspace.

Had so much fun working this company, workers are very polite all are very hardworking.

I recently had a great experience with Kennedy Restoration. I called them after starting down the path with a large franchise company who ignored my requests and left me frustrated. Quickly reached out to Kennedy Restoration and their representative was out to the house quickly. The person (Nathan S.) was very thorough in his investigation and answered all of my many, many questions.

He was patient and accommodating. Kennedy Restoration worked seamlessly with my insurance company, and other contractors working on my house to arrange schedules/access. All of the workers employed by Kennedy Restoration were polite, took care upon accessing and leaving my home and kept me well informed. I would hire and recommend this company in a heartbeat. I value a company who will answer my questions, educate me on the process, offer recommendations and do what they say they are going to do from the beginning.

I hired Kennedy upon the recommendation of my insurance company after I had a water loss at my home. The job took longer than expected because of my schedule and because the replacement flooring that I selected was not available. There was also a mis-communication which caused Kennedy to install the new linoleum before the adjoining flooring was corrected, but Kennedy remedied that error at its expense.

Although I am a very difficult customer, Kennedy was incredibly patient with me and saw the job through to the conclusion. I am very happy with their work and would hire them again if the need arises.

Twice this company has been to our condominiums and completed work for two separate units. Not only was the work finished on time if not early the quality of work was amazing. I specifically had a damaged ceiling due to a roof leak. Kennedy restoration took the time to check for asbestos and work around our busy schedule. Armando is an amazing coordinator and had everything timed perfectly.

We knew what day to expect workers and also what work was being done. He even went as far as painting a connecting ceiling that wasn't damaged! I highly recommend this company and Armando. Thanks Kennedy Restoration!
