I have a lot to say about my experience so far, but for now, I will (try) to only express facts: Early Nov 2021- reached out to Sigora for a quote 11/9/21 - received initial design and quote from Sigora 11/13/21 - signed a contract with Sigora for a system producing 15,549kWh with a Tesla battery. Was notified that there may be a delay of a couple of months on the Tesla battery. 11/29/21 - a guy came out and took some pictures of my house.
This is referred to as Field Verification. 11/30/21 to 12/14/21 - Not a word from Sigora. When I finally heard back from the representative, she asked me why I was calling her "incessantly". I called 8 times during this period. She asked me why I have not checked the customer portal, and I informed her I did not have access. She emailed me login information for an account that is not mine. 12/14/21 - 1/25/22 - no changes to the customer portal, and no calls or emails returned.
On 1/25/21, was assigned a new representative, who has honestly been great. 2/17/22 - with no explanation, received a change order for a system with a different battery with panels producing about 11,000kWh for the same price. 2/18/22 - spoke with Sigora, they informed me that the change order was a mistake, Tesla batteries are actually in stock, and they are ready to move forward.
I was hesitant to continue despite an incentive (a check and upgraded panels), but agreed to continue 2/24/22 - was informed that there needed to be a slight change to the design, and that I would see it on 2/25/22. 2/28/22 - I reached out to Sigora to let them know I never received anything. 3/1/22 - Checked again. Was sent a picture of a new design with fewer panels (26 instead of 28) that would produce 13,900-14,100kWh. 3/4/22 - Was told I would be getting a new change order to approve. 3/8/22 - Sigora informed me they sent the change order on 3/4/22.
I told them I did not receive it. Sigora confirmed it did not actually go out. 3/9/22 - still no change order. I told Sigora that I was very concerned again. They responded that they just needed to re-authorize the agreement with me. 3/10/22 - I asked for a call 3/11/22 - Followed up and asked for a call. I indicated that I was very frustrated, asked when my system would be installed, and what Sigora was going to do to keep me as a customer. 3/23/22 UPDATE: since 3/11/22, I have been offered a discount, and we are still waiting on permits and interconnection.
All my info on the Sigora dashboard was wiped, but this was resolved the next day after I asked about it. 4/13/22 UPDATE: since 3/23/22, not much has happened, but I was notified on the 29th that the permit with the new design/panels was approved, and now we are waiting for a Tesla battery again. I am waiting for the updated contract that needs to be signed with the updated panels/production, and was assured I would have it within 24 hours. 4/19/22- received the updated contract, had a few questions. 4/24/22 - received answers to questions, new contract will be sent. 4/25/22 - revised contract received and signed. Estimated timeframe for install is 1.5-2 months. 6/3/22 - spoke with Sigora and requested to add a 2nd Powerwall. I will continue to update this post with progress. I hope this post helps you when you consider solar for your home or business.

Go with a different company. Sigora's pitch is good, but they lied to me on several points (I got solar installed by them in 2020) and I wish I had shopped around and done more research. I paid probably 10k over what I would have otherwise. Seriously, don't make my mistake, go with a different company.

Service after the sale is hit or miss. Original install the team was very attentive and timely. My inverter failed and I noticed the issue myself and reported it. It took weeks even though I got the part rma'd myself and it sat at my house waiting on the install. After the install had to address several more times that cellular midem wasnt working.
Have had to reset it several times since. They are now telling customers who were told they would have 5 years if monitoring that they have to pay 730 to replace a 3g modem in the inverters because the cellular provider is dropping 3g. Back in 2019 a wifi and hardwired solution were available for these inverters but wasnt offered to customers. The kit is 100 less than what they are charging price yet they claim they are giving it at cost. So they are not offering any deal for their choice to install this outdated technology. All in all not good customer service.

We just had our energy efficiency appointment with Chris & Patrick. They were awesome! First off, they were professional and friendly. They worked quickly and cleanly. All great marks for a 5 star service. What put them over the top (and had me wishing for more stars to give) is the fact that they spent a very long time perfecting a very finicky door of mine.
What should have been a quick/easy weather stripping install became a nightmare. My deadbolt was being a diva and the stripping had to be installed one screw at a time to get the connection just right. Seriously, we were all laughing and shaking our heads at the audacity of this door to cause this much trouble. The guys never lost their cool or tried to rush the job.
They were 100% invested in getting it done right. They wanted the door to seal properly and the lock to slide effortlessly. They could've easily made it work and been done with it. The fact that they took the extra time to do it right made a huge impact on me. They treated my house with as much care and attention that they would give their own houses. Much appreciation to Chris & Patrick and the whole Sigora team!

Our solar panels have not been working since December 5th. It is now January 15th, I called tech support, after several attempts I finally was able to spreak to a human being. I was told to watch a Utube video and reset my system. It did not work. I have tried calling back but I am still unable to speak with anyone, I have no idea when someone will be out to fix my system.
I have had other issues with the service but did not feel compelled to write a review, but this so called service is a joke. I am still paying on my Solar panels and have to also pay the power company to supply the energy that the panels have stopped producing! Sigora Solar service does not really exist.

PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS AND ADVISE TO GO TO AN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE FOR SOLAR PANELS. I had signed a contract on 10/18 with written documentation on the install process and the expectation that the solar panels would be installed prior to the first of the year. As of 12/16 I was sent a change order for a system that would now produce (35%) less, and yes at the same cost of the original contracted price.
The report and permit were filed on 11/23 without any information passed onto me as the consumer, why weeks later? I have not been able to get in contact with anybody that can explain why one should pay the same price for a lesser product. Those who I do get in contact with, thank you to those, said they forwarded voicemails & emails to the appropriate parties.
At this rate it doesn't look like I will be getting solar panels before the end of the year with it being 12/27 and I am extremely disappointed with the overall experience. Please make note of their legal troubles.

Had a great experience with Sigora during our initial installation, and our system has worked very well with near projected production for the first several years. Unfortunately, have had a ton of difficulty having the system modified and disconnected temporarily during our home addition. All the employees I've been in touch with have been very pleasant and apologetic but the overall process has led to weeks upon weeks of no progress and me having to call repeatedly.
Our addition's electrical work has been held up for over a month waiting for Sigora. I've had a great experience with Sigora up till now, and would love for that to be the case in the future.

Unfortunately, the customer service reviews are correct. Emails will go unanswered for weeks. The production guarantee will not be corrected within the first year due to force majeure so read your contract carefully. We were told our second year would be better and it was actually less prodcution than the first. If you do finance through Sigora, your interest will compound DAILY.
That is information that was not passed on to us upon signing. We were sent an e-mail stating that we could be paid for our SREC (solar energy credits). Upon communicating directly with Carbon Solutions, we were notified that our inverter that was installed will most likely not allow us to sell our credits. When we reached year two of lackluster production, we had to reach out to Sigora multiple times for an explanation.
We decided to take a payment settlement agreement for a check in place of upgrading our system because it was easier than possibly considering having to communicate more with them. The decision was also made on the presumption that we could sell our SREC credits too and invest both to make our investment back over the years. I sent MULTIPLE e-mails to Randy Landry questioning why our payment hadn't been sent within the 60 days on the contract and wanted to know why we were unable to sell our SREC (politely explaining that we made the decision under the assumption that our returns for both payments would make up for what we had to pay Dominion for lack of production).
We never received a response but a check magically showed up today after mentioning that we would seek legal counsel to resolve not receiving payment within the 60 days. Seems this company can afford to advertise at Fed-Ex field but can't afford to take care of paying customers.

I cannot emphasize enough how incredibly disappointed I am with Sigora Solar. 1) We signed a contract at the end of April and were told 4-6 weeks til installation. We were so excited to be going solar! 2) In May, we received an automated email asking us to sign a revised contract agreeing to 25% less output. No personal email or explanation. It took nearly a week of emails to get an explanation about the error, and a forced, insincere apology.
It turns out our sales rep, Sam, had made a massive error (presumably an honest mistake) in calculating the shade on our roof. As a result, our panels would produce 25% less electricity than what was stated in our contract. 3) We entered into a nearly 2 month re-negotiation of our contract due to emails that went unanswered for weeks. In the end, we wound up paying the same price for 12% less output than we were originally promised in our contract.
We should have walked away at this time but stupidly persevered, thinking Sigora couldn't be any worse. Because the final design changed, our permits had to be re-issued, adding further delays. 4) Our panels were installed in August, 4 months after signing our contract. We were given inaccurate installation dates on first contact from Sigora, and it took many rounds of email and phone calls to actually schedule the installation.
On installation day, a person from Dominion showed up and asked what he was supposed to do (I am not an electrician.that's your job?). I called Sigora and was told Dominion was not supposed to be there. I still don't know what happened. The rest of installation went surprisingly smoothly, aside from the electricians who were unmasked in my house until I asked them to please wear masks. 5) Our panels failed city inspection on two different counts, requiring two return trips from Sigora to fix the problems 6) Additionally, immediately after installation it was clear that 3 panels were not functioning properly and not reporting to monitoring system.
When I reported this issue, I was scolded for having the system turned on (the installers left it turned on and I was following instructions for monitoring that I received in an email). 7) I was told the 3 panels would be scheduled for repair within 48 hours. 8) In mid-October, with our panels still not activated, I received a sales text message from Sigora trying to get me to buy solar panels from them.
This company is so dysfunctional that they are trying to sell panels to existing unhappy customers. I replied to the text message and reached a sympathetic sales person who actually offered to help move our panels along. Thank you mystery salesperson at the other end of the text message! 9) Our panels were activated yesterday, almost 6 months to the day from when we signed our contract. Surprise!
The 3 panels still don't work. Supposedly they can be fixed now that the system is turned on (so much for 48 hours. ) 10) Along the way, our "dedicated" Customer Service Rep was often unhelpful and uninformative. Multiple emails went unanswered or received completely unhelpful responses. 11) Sigora brags about their dashboard where you can see progress on your panels.
In my experience, this dashboard rarely contained accurate or up to date information. I wouldn't recommend working with Sigora to anyone. They are incompetent at all levels of the operation. I hope the panels will perform as expected but it really was not worth the stress, anxiety, and frustration of working with them for the past 6 months.

I am very happy with the solar and service I received from Sigora Solar. All of the process and incentives were explained in detail. They communicated very well about the entire process and handled all the heavy lifting with the utility company and county to get everything approved. I would highly recommend Sigora.

Our 4.5kw solar system has a feature that it reports the energy produced and used to a website through our home internet. Recently it has been sporadic in its reporting. I contacted the equipment tech at Enphase and he attempted to fix it to no avail. He told me to contact Sigora, the company from whom I bought the system. I called them 3x, and left my name and number to call me back. I also sent 6 emails asking for help. I was summarily ignored and have never heard back from them. It would appear they are no longer in business.

I see I'm not the first customer who came on here after having a bad experience with Sigora Solar. I won't go into the boring details but the headlines are this: we made multiple appointments with them where they didn't show up, week after week, and then other times we were told they'd call back to reschedule and then we just never heard from anyone.
We did have our own delays that weren't their fault but this team made it harder at every turn. The worst and weirdest part was emailing their office manager Gaye at the end about what had happened. She emailed back saying she'd look into things and get back to us. Then we didn't hear for a month and when we did reconnect, she insisted that she'd been waiting on us - even after we forwarded back her own email to her.
All that said, the actual guy who came out to reinstall the pool solar was nice. Though after reading other bad reviews online about issues people had with Sigora, we're lucky to be done with them.

Sigora performed a home energy audit and upgraded several items in the house to include: light bulbs, weatherstripping, and sealing around the HVAC unit. Aubrey Hughes and his team did an outstanding job. Aubrey started by briefing me on what his team's mission was today. He did an excellent job of keeping me informed on what they were doing during the process, and what changes needed to be made, if any were required.
His team worked diligently and quickly throughout the audit. My wife and I were very happy with the Aubrey and his team's dedication to doing the job right and ensuring we were not only satisfied with the results; but also pleased with the way they treated our home during the audit. We would recommend Sigora and Aubrey's team to anyone looking to ensure their home was energy efficient.

Not impressed with on going service and support. The website says "With Sigora your system production is guaranteed - we will pay you DOUBLE the difference if you don't get the results we say you will." My service went down mid August, I was not alerted (as I was told I would be by my sales rep, through an app that was given to me). Turns out the app was not sent to me with the correct configuration.
When I realized my service was not working, that request was addressed rapidly, but then when I asked for some sort of refund for the now almost one month of no solar support (my power bills are high), I was told there was nothing they could do for me. Not sure how that coincides with "we will pay you DOUBLE the difference if you don't get the results we say you will." These products are VERY expensive and I wrongly assumed that in addition to paying for panels I was also paying for customer support.

The installation team damaged my roof during the process, when I addressed this with them their contractor said that my roof was rotten without looking at it, even though that prior to installation they send someone to "inspect" things to make sure that your home is a good fit. So i was left with a damaged roof that they refused to repair. The customer service team is ok at best with the best service i got was the energy audit team, do yourself a favor and get your solar panels from another company.

My husband and I decided to go solar in the summer of 2019 after we purchased a home. We also chose to bundle up and get a new roof (yes, roof was eligible for 30% federal credit too!). I did a lot of research and narrowed it down to 4 different solar companies, taking over 2 months to nitpick each one. The quotes greatly varied in price, but we ended up choosing middle-of-the-pack Sigora for the customer service, the system guarantee, and their transparency.
I learned a TON about solar panels (grid-tied vs battery vs hybrid, what happens during a power outage, who offers 1-1 credits.), and they are definitely not the right fit for every home/business (every state has different options, so keep that in mind). I highly suggest you do your due diligence and speak to multiple people who had them installed from different companies, and then make your selection based on what is the right fit for YOU. We've had them for about 9 months now, we were able to build up credits to make a big dent in our winter heating bill, and our goal is to stock up enough credits this year to have a $0 electric bill this winter.
And yes, the federal credit came through on my tax refund this year! Sigora has been very fair with us and made good on all their promises. The app is very easy to use and helps me understand how much solar energy my array produces (while my electric bill helps me understand how my family uses energy during different seasons) so that I can get the most out of our system.
Please feel free to ask me questions; I can also set you up with my primary contact at Sigora. If you have found this review helpful and want to schedule a free consultation, please contact them and mention my name!

We had an amazing experience through and through. The installation was surprisingly quick (only took a few hours for our 7.1 kW system) and the crews were very professional and kept our yard clean. I love how the panels look and fit so cleanly on the roof. We got the full Produce and Reduce package so we also received an energy efficiency audit and some free improvements.
I was surprised how much they were able to do considering the home is new construction! Definitely glad they performed that audit and we now have a Pearl Certified home as well! The energy efficiency team was great to talk to and suggested some other energy/home tips to help make our HVAC and water heater last longer and operate most efficiently. It's nice to know we won't be wasting lots of the energy we produce to any inefficiencies in the home. The whole process was simple and professional, and I'd definitely recommend Sigora to anyone interested in going solar.

One of their selling features was the possibility of the Duke rebate, and promises to guide us through the application process. They failed to file the Solar Rebate Rider application with Duke within the required 90 days (according to a phone conversation with Duke Energy about the issue, this is normally filed by the solar company) and failed to inform us they weren't filing it for whatever reason.
As a result, we were unable to even apply for the Duke solar rebate which was, once again, one of the "selling features" of getting a solar installation from them. This was a sadly disappointing follow-through on their part. While the rebate isn't guaranteed, we weren't even able to apply because of this oversight. We haven't so much as gotten an explanation from them, and certainly nothing resembling an apology.

Sigora did a great job on my house from start to finish. Not only are their people knowledgeable, but from the salespeople to the installers they are professional, prompt & courteous. They are always available to answer your questions and I get the feeling they really care and have passion for their work. They come through and do an energy audit, too, and help you get your house to the point where you are using only the energy you need and not wasting any. The panels work very, very well. I would recommend Sigora to anyone looking to take advantage of the sun's energy to power their home.
