So bad it's laughable. A picture is worth a thousand words. this photo shows a ceiling fan installed by Hobbs Electric with parts designed to be fool-proof by being labeled THIS SIDE UP, that they installed upside down! The punchline? They billed us 843 dollars (we supplied the fan) to install one, single ceiling fan and its switch and power feed.
And that was even after discounting their outrageous 140/Hour labor rate for 2 electricians minus 3 hours because they made time-consuming, amateurish mistakes that had to be pointed out to them by a resident / former electrician who just happened to be visiting during the installation. But what isn't funny is the legitimate concern that these same two electricians who did a poor job overall in terms of quality workmanship and attention to detail, could possibly have also made faulty wiring connections?
If they're both incompetent enough to miss THREE obvious warning labels, then it's hard to have confidence that they didn't also make wiring mistakes, which can be a serious safety concern. They also billed us for parts and materials that were mistakenly installed but then removed and kept by them. Hobbs Electric office manager Lisa initially acknowledged that we're requesting for these issues to be corrected, but after saying that she would look into it and call back, she never did and continues to refuse to respond to any subsequent calls or email.
So if you'd like to be charged 3 times the average rate for a ceiling fan installation, if you want it done so poorly that it makes you laugh out loud, and if you're OK with fly-by-night level of service afterwards - leaving you stuck with the results of their inexcusably faulty work - then Hobbs Electric will accommodate you perfectly.

CALLED OFFICE, SPOKE TO LISA, VERY HELPFUL ON PHONE, SCHEDULED FOR THEM TO INSTALL GENERATOR PLUG ON OUTSIDE OF HOUSE, WORKERS SHOWED UP WHEN PROMISED, WORK PERFORMED WAS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED, PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE, WOULD USE & RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN. HAD HOBBS ELECTRIC COME OUT AGAIN TO INSTALL FLOODLIGHTS ON FRONT & REAR OF HOUSE, AS USUAL WORK PERFORMED EXTREMELY WELL, ALL OF PEOPLE FROM OFFICE STAFF TO ELECTRICIANS WERE GREAT

This company has the worst public relations and highest prices around. They've made a mistake hiring Lisa as a front line staff member. She is beyond rude. In addition, they did a bad job and then would not correct it. I had to hire another, reasonably priced electrician to make things right. He laughed when he saw what they had done. Steer clear of this company at all costs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I hired this company to fix two pendant lights. The work involved changing out two transformers. Since I was not onsite, they went to town with their predatory price gauging. They not only charged for the service call but for two electricians working for 1 1/2 hours. If I could give them NO STARS, I would.
