Eli from Thomas Edison Electric provided prompt, professional and courteous service at our home. We had power run with an outdoor waterproof outlet to a location for a newly installed motorized awning, a different outlet cover replaced and a new solar powered pole light fixture installed. When we had breaker trouble due to a faulty outlet, we phoned Thomas Edison Electric. They informed us right off the bat there would be a $195 charge just for showing up. Against my better judgement, we agreed. When the electrician arrived, he stated there would be a $600 charge just for troubleshooting to determine the trouble. $800 before any actual repairs would be started? That's insane. Needless to say, I paid him the $195 and sent him on his way. Determined to get our money, his supervisor phoned us twice in ten minutes, pleading with us to keep the appointment, offering to reduce a mere $75 off the total charge. To think we would cave in to that was an insult. We managed to have someone repair the breaker and outlet for under a $100. Never will we call these people again.

Gave me an estimate of $5000 to replace a 200amp sub panel. Tried to talk me into replacing all wiring and moving the meter. Got estimates from 7 other companies with the highest bid being $1100. Told by everyone else the wiring and meter were fine.
