Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have seen a Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel unsuccessfully fail-safe. This breaker was supposed to prevent more than 20 amps of current into that circuit by tripping the breaker.

Over the weekend, I sent out a request for a quote on a very simple job - installing an outlet. Every company had some person respond within a couple days (which is totally fine - I don't expect companies to work weekends), either providing a quote or asking for some additional information. Turn It On Electric sent me an auto-response indicating they were closed, offering numbers for emergencies, etc.
So far so good. Then Monday came and went, no response. Then Tuesday came and finally I got one of those template responses from a generic "Customer C." account, which basically pushed me to give them all of my information including best times and days for an appointment, and absolutely no info that had anything to do with pricing of installing an outlet.
If we're already communicating via Yelp messaging, you don't need 3 more ways to contact me in order to send me a quote. Nobody else did. I responded saying I was just gathering quotes at the time. and no response from them until the next day when I get another non-human template response having the gall to start with: "Hello! We have reached out several times in response to your electrical needs." Um, no.
You have not reached out "several times" and you never bothered to respond to me like a human being, and it is clear that still nobody human has actually bothered to read the messages because you still haven't actually given me a quote, and given that I'm only going to end up choosing one company, I don't want my personal contact information in the databases of companies that I haven't chosen. Ihad three three bids that I asked for and went with TIO. It ws a somewhat a big job and I felt very comfortable with the estimator they sent and felt no pressure to make a quick decision which I really appreciated. I bought a older home that had been repaired by I can only guess amateurs and it was in horable shape. They gave me a reasonable bid and i was very happy with the result.
They answered all my concerns and questions and did exactly what they said they would. Highly recommended! BOB and KEVIN were the best. Actually started out a little bumpy with the front office (lol) but that was fixed real fast.

I received 5 quotes/estimates to install a 240V outlet in my garage. Four of the estimates from four different companies were $284-$470. Turn It On Electric was over $900 for the exact same work (time) and materials. I don't see any reasonable justification for charging 200% to 300% more than their competition for the exact same service order.

Asked for an estimate and they said it would be free but I had to wait for 10 days. The guy came & took pictures and said I had to pay $200 for an actual estimate and that didn't include any supplies or time after an hour. During the week I waited for this free quote I got email asking to set up a time for an estimate. Who knows if they have qualified electricians. I certainly will never use them.

We haven't used their services yet. That being said, the company's response to my inquire for a quote to install a junction box was completed in a timely manner. The technician, Jerry was friendly, efficient and prompt in delivery a quote for a junction box to be installed in our office. Based on their customer service we will be using them for the installation of the junction box. I hope their delivery of service is as good as their customer service.

Bob and Shawn came out today to take down a broken fan, install new, replace a light fixture, and install a new GFCI outlet in my bathroom. They were on time, super friendly, personable, and did an excellent job with all three projects. Highly recommend this company. Normally when you call on a residential electrician you expect one guy with a truck. I had 3 TIO technicians (Supervisor, a technician and a trainee) the three gentlemen were polite and professional. We had to reach out to another vendor installing a misting system at my residence. They were willing to wait and allowed us to hop on a three-way conference call to get the correct voltage information. In a matter of a few hours, I've had two new outlets installed. I would highly recommend.

Three drywall holes were created to run the 220 volt lines to the ceiling. Upon completion the drywall was screwed back in with no drywall compound. In one case the drywall was not even replaced above the breaker box panel. We had to pay $400.00 to a separate contractor to repair and paint the drywall. We asked your team to run a phone line to our ceiling as well and we paid each a $50.00 gratuity.
They ran the phone line but charged us another $400.00 for their time. We asked them to quote 2 additional jobs but never heard back from them. We are very disappointed with their performance and additional charges and will never recommend them to any of our friends and neighbors. Please stop asking us for evaluations/recommendations. The tech showed up on time and did a good job communicating arrival. I needed an outlet installed in my Garage booked about 3 days out. So the Bad! The price was extremely high he spent about 30 minutes measuring to give me a quote that was almost 3 times the other electrician's quotes. That wasn't the biggest problem the biggest problem was that he recommended Services that I did not need either he did not know what he was talking about or was trying to convince me to purchasing something not needed. Be very careful to not get your information from the sales men could cost you thousands.

I would definitely give this company five stars when it comes to customer service, being able to schedule an appointment and the work that they completed for me. My only issue is that when I called to ask about scheduling an appointment, I was quoted $199 for the first hour and $145 for every hour after that plus any other material fees. When I received my bill I noticed that it was high, when I called to inquire I was told that it was $145 per technician and I had two technicians on site.
I was never told that the fee was per technician and I was never informed that there were two technicians at my house (I had a family member there as I could not be). In fact when I received a text message informing me of the technician that would be coming it only mentioned the one technician. Again everybody that I dealt with at this company was fabulous and great I just wish that it had been communicated about the fees.

Conrad was great. He calmed my fears that something may have been wrong with the wiring in one part of the house. I had a bathroom light fixture with 4 lights that never stayed lit and two fans with light kits that also did not stay lit. Everything is great now. My husband asked him to add an outside outlet. He obliged and now after 18 years in the house we have Power to the outside of our house on the East side. I have used Turn it On Electric before and they did a fantastic job of installing recessed lighting.

I just put in for an estimate request on my problem, and I received a call to schedule for next week. After I made the appointment, I realized that I forgot to ask about any fees so I called back. I got a different person and after explaining the situation that I explained in my initial contact request, I was then told it would be $185/hr per tech, and then $125/hr per tech after the first hour.
I was then asked if I wanted to keep my appointment and I said a bit hesitantly that I will keep the appointment for now. This is where the lady told me that in order to keep my appointment, I would have to pay $185 upfront to cover the first hour. Why was this not mentioned first? I don't understand why I should pay upfront for a service that I haven't even used yet, just to make an appointment.

I've used them in the past, and been very satisfied with their work. But this was an especially good experience. Liam came out and gave me a very thorough explanation of what was going on. He was personable and explained things clearly without condescendion. He also listed the 3 projects in terms of priority to help stagger cost a bit if I needed it; and it's always reassuring when that happens because you know the company isn't just trying to pump as much money from you as possible. Also worth noting that their first hour's rate for troubleshooting was $40 less than the other company I called. Really recommend this company!

I appreciate they sent us photos of the techs in advance and let us know when they were on their way so I knew who to expect. I'm also very grateful they caught something missed by my home inspection and let me know. Now our inspector is paying for that to be fixed since they missed it on the inspection. I came across Turn It On Electric from a simple Google search, needing a residential electrician to install a 50 AMP outlet to charge an electric vehicle in my garage. After i requested more information, I was contacted the next day to set up an appointment to estimate the cost of my requests. On top of everything, the technician had to wait for his coworker to arrive due to not having the outlet on hand. I would not recommend due to my experiences.

We have been wanting to change the location of our porch light for quite a while. We contacted a local handyman company and they made the process of communication so difficult that we didn't hire them! We went to Yelp and put out the request for quotes. TIO made the process so simple. Super responsive and they arrived exactly when they said they would! They left everything tidy before they left! Overall I was satisfied with their work on our electric charger. The bid came in lower than the competition and I hired them. When the installers came they spend about twice as long on the project than was bid. They ended up charging me for one extra hour of labor which was fine but it would have been good to get a proper bid in the first place to budget for the project. In the end, I was happy with the outcome. Everyone was professional.

I recently had a circuit with surge protector installed in my garage. The drywall was cut into and then the technician installed in different section until the install was completed. I was advised that I needed to just contact another company to repair the drywall damage by the technician after the install was performed. I followed up with customer service on this issue and they were slow to respond and required multiple follow ups and zero solutions. Find a company that values accountability, their clients, and stands behind their work.

From the moment they showed up on our doorstep, Ivan and Julio demonstrated themselves to be extremely professional, skilled and friendly. We were impressed that they were right on time, masked for Covid, and even brought booties to cover their shoes while inside our home. We appreciated that Ivan read the instructions for our ceiling fan and down rod before they even arrived, so he and Julio were able to install the equipment in less than an hour.

I hired them to replace the electrical box on the side of my home. Everything went well, but the box that they installed was smaller than my prior box, so they left a hole in the side of my home. The guys who did the work suggested that I call someone to fill it in, at my own expense of course. I wish that I had been told that this was a possibility in advance.

Outstanding service. We had a ceiling fan box installed in our front room and initially, we were told they would possibly have to cut into our wall to run the wires. We don't have the paint that was used on that wall and it was painted before we moved in, so we were prepping ourselves for possibly having to paint a large chunk of our home. The technicians showed up on time, finished the job in less time than was originally estimated, AND they were able to keep all cutouts to the ceiling only! We were absolutely impressed and will return for future electrical work.

I have called on this electric company for several years and have never been disappointed. Today was no exception! I had finally had enough with my cheap vanity light in my bathroom. It looked ok but it was not bright enough. I went out and bought a really nice light that took regular light bulbs and up too 100 Watts! With my dimmer switch already installed.
I was ready to go bright and dial down if needed. I was thrilled when Bob and Bryan showed up right on time (called on the way too) and got right to work. They had their work cut out as they had center the new fixture over the mirror and anchor it as it was heavy. They worked very efficiently and did a beautiful job. They even cleaned everything up.
Hope it was their mess and not dirt I couldn't see in that dim light! Thanks guys The bathroom looks fabulous. The beautiful fixture is installed perfectly! Wasn't the cheapest but was the most professional and responsive company to work with. I called TIO and explained what I needed. They went to the property and prepared an estimate the next day. They showed up when promised for both the estimate and the following week to do the work. They did an excellent job of installing a Level 2 circuit and outlet for EV charging in the garage of a rental property and finally solved another wiring problem that previous electricians could not.
I requested for them to install a cut-off switch and to position the receptacle and run the conduit a specific way, and they did it perfectly. Great attention to the detail I provided over the phone since I live far away from the property. The estimate included a complete detailing of parts and labor, right down to the screws and tape. The invoice did not exceed the estimate.
Payment was easily made online through their website. My tenants are pleased with the result and the company emailed photos of the completed work which looks exactly how I wanted it done. If you want the job done properly and are willing to pay a fair price to do it right, this is the company to call.

Great customer service! Just got the bid and they were much higher than my first bid so we will see if they can make some adjustments. Might have to get one more bid. I can say, the customer service from the start to the gentleman coming out for the bid has been wonderful! We shall see! First, the office team is terrific. Prompt response, listened to my needs, and made sure I understood that there was a $250 minimum charge. HOWEVER, the electricians sent were incompetent, constantly upselling, and had no interested in solving a complex problem. When the two electricians arrived to solve a 12-volt transformer problem, they were unable/too lazy to isolate which of the 6 transformers in questions was faulty, suggested they all had to be replaced and provided a quote of $185 per transformer (when we found the on-line for approx. $65 each), plus $95 per hour to replace them. Subsequently, we had a experienced electrician work with us to find a safe and low cost solution.
At his suggestion, we found transformers on Amazon, and while they had to be "McGivered", the problem is solved. And we saved literally $1000. If you want 'cookie cutter, ' they are probably fine, but if your issue is out-of-the ordinary, go elsewhere.

I would have given this company 5 stars as response was great and technician who did the work, Conrad, worked to correct many electrical items that were, best to say old. I give Conrad 5 stars. The 4 stars comes from the inspector who came out first to quote my job. Do not recall his name, he was nice enough, but an outlet that a previous inspector noted needed changed, really didn't and he never really check anything with a meter or went into what, if anything needed repair.
He just basically asked what I thought I needed and wrote it up. Unfortunately, for me it cost me more than quoted and if I would have known, I may have sought a second quote. That's really the one thing that put this job and company at 4 stars. Conrad thanks for everything you did, I hope this company understand the value you bring.

I was not told that the crew needed to wait for the electric company to come shut off the electricity to the property. The crew sat on the clock waiting 6 hours and I had to pay for the labor to sit and wait-, I had no idea that we were paying for them to wait. Would have been nice knowing that going into the repair. I paid $1000 more for the job and that was all labor costs.

We just had three ceiling fans installed by the team at TIO Electric, the guys were very polite, tool COVID-19 related precautions, cleaned up after they were done. The guys had all three fans installed in under 90 minutes. I would definitely use TIO Electric again. BTW. the ceiling fan electrical boxes and switches were pre-wired so no new wiring was required for the project.

At 3.45 pm, I called the office, and the lady that I spoke with was very polite, yet told me that the person was way behind, and that they couldn't make it out.
