Reliant Air Conditioning

I used to love Reliant Air and think they had the best techs and customer service in the business. I am extremely frustrated with them now. I had a full HVAC system installed just over year ago and the techs were fantastic. When finished, they tested the unit and said the damper isn't working properly. They had to explain what that was because I was never told that.

They called the salesperson who sold me the unit and he said he told me and would call me back. He lied and never called me back. This was a year ago. Then I called for maintenance recently. They automatically charged my card for their maintenance program without my consent then the technician never showed up or called to cancel. The following day, I called to cancel any future charges for their maintenance program to my card and today, they charged my card again for the monthly fee. I no longer would recommend this company.

They replaced my ac system. 10k. the salesman told us we would be having 2 checks as part of the sale. Well, never heard from them again. after the wife has been trying to contact them and FINALLY got to talk to someone, they want to charge $129 to do a check that was part of the sale. Of course I can pay $235 for a twice a year service contract. if they cannot honor what they say, for do I trust them to honor a service contract?

If I had known that they were no better than a fly by night outfit, I would have done more shopping for a reliable, honest, trustworthy, transparent ac company. *** This is a update to my review: I was contacted by Richard, a supervisor at Reliant. We discussed the issues, it appears that the salesman should have given us a code to use to get the after sale service.

He missed telling us this important part! Well, Richard has corrected this, and the checks will be accomplished. Afterwards, I am planning on the twice yearly follow-up, pending this. As the time goes on, and our service is done, I will post another update on here. I will give credit to Reliant seeing my problem, and making it right.

Hal, the technician was super knowledgeable, informative, nice, and you can tell that he enjoys his job. He quickly identified the root cause of the issue, something others before him had missed and fixed it within minutes. He took off and then put on his floor protection booties each time he went in and out of the house which was greatly appreciated. He also complimented my dog on his way out. I'm going to request him by name the next time something comes up with my system or when it needs its annual maintenance.

Luis and Henry from Reliant Air Conditioning were extremely professional and efficient. They are the true definition of hard workers. They were hands down the most polite people I've ever had do work in my home. I would highly recommend them and their company for any HVAC services. Chrissie who initially came out to our home to give us a quote was very informative and explained everything in detail.

She answered every question we had and made sure we understood all aspects of the of the system we were purchasing down to the specific details of the installation process. Reliant Air was fair and easy to work with. There was cheaper options, but of all the people I got quotes from I felt Reliant would be the most dependable. We had a home unit go out on a Friday PM. Called and the answering service got the message to a rep right away so we got a quick call back. Initial rep (not sure if same guy who came) was really great to talk things through and said they would be out next day, with a message 30-40 min beforehand. They were able to come out the next afternoon, with a message ahead of time as promised.

Our tech Jimmy was great to work with and had the problem solved immediately. Our issue was inside electrical but he still did a full circle on the system, checking outside as well. Very pleasant personality, knowledgeable, and efficient. This is our second time using Reliant, first was a great experience as well. We will continue to use them and refer others to them!

Reliant installed a new Heater, AC and ducts for us 6 months ago. It was a lot to pay for, but they were able to help us with financing. Our home has been so much more comfortable. Recently when a fuse went out in the system Reliant sent Terry Cotton to get it fixed. It also became apparent that our thermostat was defective. That was replaced as well. Everything was covered by the warranty. Terry was prompt, professional, and took the time to go over our system thoroughly. These guys do good work.

We've been satisfied customers of Reliant's HVAC maintenance plan for a while now. Our units were getting old and starting to leak, so we had them replaced. We worked with Allen who went above and beyond for us. Every step of the way he was helpful and patient and did everything in his power to make sure we were happy. I am super happy with our new units, the quality and attention to detail of the install, and the kindness and professionalism of every single Reliant employee I've encountered.

The thing I love most about them is how upfront and low-pressure they are in equipping you with the information you need to make the best decision for yourself and your home.

We are very happy with today's honest service from Reliant. Our furnace stopped giving heat over the weekend. The unit is three years old, so it's under parts warranty with Reliant, but we bought labor warranty for only one year. We called this morning, and they came out this same day. The technician could have told me anything: replace heat exchanger or replace the entire system. Instead, he checked it out, and the problem was that ice had interfered with the compressor.

He cleared that out and reset some switches on the unit, and it's working for just a $79 charge. It was great service, and, most of all, honest--just like their commercials on the radio say. They didn't even ask me to write a review, but they deserve the five stars I'm giving them.

My Technician Hal is great and honest. I had another AC company tried to swindle me and I wanted a second opinion and Hal show me how that company was lying. I decided to do all my maintenance with Reliant they make me feel like they know me and are very personable

I called reliant because they installed the HVAC system in my house. I have insulation that is falling down in the Carrier furnace that they installed that is only 2 years old. I was told I would be given a call prior to tech arriving and no one called he just showed up at my door. Tech didn't know why he was there. He ended up removing a part that didn't need to be removed, didn't seem to know what he was doing. Gave me a quote of $350 to remove the coil and fix insulation.

I paid the service fee and technician left my home saying everything was good to go. Last night got below freezing and I went to turn on furnace and it didn't start. Tech didn't install part back properly so we didn't have any heat. I was able to diagnose and fix myself. Do not call reliant to come out to your home unless you want to have to call them back out because the do not know what they are doing.

We had a new inside and outside air conditioner unit installed less than a year ago. We have had to have them come out once because the system stopped working. The technicians who installed the units had overfilled the unit outside and the person who came out had to drain it. We change our filters monthly and when we opened the closet a week ago, the door and walls were covered in mold.

A technician came out and said that the closet didn't have enough ventilation and that there is too much humidity. He said they are not responsible for that and we would have to drill a hole in the door and install a register. It seems like they should have realized this whenever they installed the unit. UPDATE: Technician came out after review and added ventilation to the closet and it took care of the issue.

The ads are true, after bringing two different HVAC companies to our house to diagnose a malfunctioning furnace both also tried to add on a new A/C system even though there was no issue. Then I called Reliant and they explained my options and that we just needed a furnace. To top it all off their pricing was nearly 50% less than the cheapest of the other two for the exact same work. Follow their advice and call Reliant out last to see the real difference between them and the other guys.

Adrion and Jorge just completed our heating maintenance service for this year. They were super friendly. on time, and very attentive. They completed the checks on three systems, cleaned up several things behind the previous installation crews, and fixed a few things leftover from the install. If you want to see an example for perfect customer service, this was one. Thanks guys!

After using a couple other services out there, I've found the employees of Reliant to be the best and not oversell you on things you don't need. Their team members are always very courteous and help out in any way they can. I don't see myself changing services so long as they remain great! My technician was great! He gave me great advice on maintenance. We have been using Reliant since they installed our system 11 years ago. Their ads are true: They don't try to sell you stuff, but they will let you if something needs to be fixed. I completely trust them!

Called on Friday for service, comfort advisor came out on Saturday, indoor/outdoor unit installed on Monday! Quick, fast response time. Quoted at a great price. Ton and his partner came on time, ensured to lay down floor covering prior to installation, unloaded their truck and got straight to work. After completion, Ton explained what they did and how to control our thermostat.he was very professional, patient, and kind. We were cool by nightfall. I would highly recommend utilizing their services!

Every person from customer service to sales to installation crew were upbeat and professional! Toby from sales spent plenty of time with us to choose just the right system and financing for our home! Complete new system (excluding duct work) inside and out done in a day! From purchase to a cool house in 24 hours! Jorge and Adrian worked in 100 degree temperatures to get the job done with positive energy and great attitudes! Great people! Great communication! Great experience! I wish every company I dealt with was like Reliant!

The second representative came from another company that advertises on WBAP. He presented a big dog and pony show, took an hour and a half out of my life, and then wanted $13,000 for one single unit. Then, we met the Comfort Specialist from Reliant. The difference was like night and day! He was the nicest guy in the world. First of all, he didn't do an annoying long dog and pony show.

Had our unit for 8 months now and it has mold and rust. They claim there is no rust and no mold. Yet I called another company out he looked it over flat said it has mold runt and we can NOT use our heat because of the mold.

I would not recommend reliant. Brand new house.closed on June 30 2014. Moved in on July 26 2014. First time we had to call them out they didn't install catch pan right so ac was dripping from attic.

I'm perfectly willing to change this review, when and if my a/c is fixed. The extra star is for the promptness and politeness of your a/c technicians. That's where the positive ends. On the first visit, the tech says that the problem is with the capacitors.

Unbelievable customer service! During the estimate process Chrissie was extremely thorough and patient, answered all our questions. Even took our call on a Sunday! She was very accommodating by coming to the house in the evening to sign the contract.

Had them come out to do maintenance as anyone should for several years. Each time something needed repair. Now we are being told rust on a 7 year old evaporator coil is damaging the system and needs to be replaced.

Jeff, I don't know you, but I got a good idea of what you represent and how you treat your employees today. It touches our hearts, my wife and mine, that you are recruiting, training, and recognizing men and women of the caliber of those who came to our home under your banner. I am thankful to know that Reliant is practicing business in a manner where everyone wins.

Just moved in to our new home. It was cold last night, but the heat never came on because the builder never started up the heater. I called Reliant and got a call back from their technician within 30 minutes.

We went with this company mainly because we are huge Dave Ramsey fans and he endorsed this company and he doesn't endorse many companies. Keith, the comfort adviser, came out, gave us a quote with options to think about and left without pressuring us at all into anything.

We purchased a Goodman AC unit through Reliant and three different times we have had to call after hours because either the fan was not working or the breaker was getting tripped. Tonight when we called to have them service it once again because the fan is not working we were told they no longer do after hours calls and that we would have to wait until Monday until the office reopens.
