Midway Electric Midway Electric, Inc.'s motto, "Powered by People with Pride", centers on the business aspect that has grown this 15 year old company - people. Owners, Brandon and Michele Spry, concentrate on consumers by providing quality, timely service as well as treating their employees like family. Hickman High School sweethearts, the Spry's married in 1997.

In 2001 the couple reached a crossroad when the electrical contractor Brandon was working for closed its Columbia branch. Brandon was faced with finding a new job or starting his own electrical contracting company. The couple chose an independent venture, and the Spry's opened Midway Electric, Inc. with 2 employees and one van.

These machines are constantly on guard 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When the need arises and your power goes out, the generator automatically supplies electricity. Then when the utility power comes back on, the generator automatically shuts itself back down to standby. This means that your home is always protected, even when your not there.

Over $500 later and my lights are still not working. He stood around a lot 'thinking' about the problem. He got the lights on but didn't know how he did it then the lights went back off a couple days later. I pretty much have nothing to show for the time and money. On top of that he charged for 6 hours but was only here 4 1/2. At one point he said 'your Dad is paying for this, right?' as if he didn't think money was an issue. Anyway I was kinda just bummed at the whole situation.

Steve did excellent work. Job turned out to be more complicated than I thought. It looks great and I finally have lights and outlets that work. Services: Electrical outlet & switch repair, General repairs, Light fixture installation, Fan installation

We had our bathroom vanity lights replaced and a new outlet placed in out laundry room. Mike M. came out to do the work and he was wonderful! He was very nice, talked a bit with my elderly mother, and did a great job! The lights look really nice! I would highly recommend Midway Electric for any electrical needs!

Jason was awesome! Called and was able to be at the house within an hour. He worked closely with Boone Electric to resolve a problem on the outside of our home as well as replace a breaker on the inside. So thankful for his knowledgeable service. Highly recommend Midway Electric.

I had an appointment with Midway for a simple lighting issue. My husband made the appointment and chose the second appointment of the day, because 7:30 am (first appointment) is the time we are trying to get our daughter out the door. He was told someone would arrive "around 9 am." I took off from work for the appointment. My husband also told the office it would be me there, and gave them my phone number.

Well guess what? They promptly lost my phone number, and after multiple calls to the office I am finally told around 9:45 that the electrician can't get to me until "around 11" or maybe even later. I told them I can't wait around that long and cancelled. I could have done the job myself in the time I was waiting but (silly me) I wanted a professional to make sure it was done right.

It never occurred to me that said professional would be so unprofessional with my time. If you, like me, expect that "around 9" doesn't mean 11 or later, and you expect a company to be able to keep track of two phone numbers, don't use Midway. Advice to the company: don't lose phone numbers, and if you can't stick to appointment times, then give windows like those awful cable companies do (e.g. between 9 and noon).

Then I would have known up front that you can't respect my time and chosen another company that can. Saying "around 9" when you mean "between 9 and noon" is just even more disrespectful than being up front about it.

Hire better drivers! One of your employees did not look before he merged, nor did he care to use a turn signal. When I honked at him to let him know I was there (we are stopped at a traffic light at this point), he cussed me our and proceeded to push me out of the way with his van and trailet. Middle aged guy with black hair. I won't be using this servoce solely based on how ride this employee was.

Pros: quick & good communication.  Cons: Broke a step/stone with the trencher & not to mention I will have to get a 1/2-3/4 truckload of dirt to fill in the trench.

Worst service I have ever had. Not only did they bring 2 guys to the job but then took 2 1/2 hours to do a 5 min breaker job which they knew from the phone call the night before. Even the service tech said how slow the other guy was but then he sent him off to get a piece which took him 1 1/2 hours to get.
