I've never wrote a negative review about a company before but this company is the exception. We had a major landscape job that we needed done and I called SCL for a quote based on word of mouth reviews. I guess it started on the wrong foot because it took over 2.5 weeks to get a call back. However, once I did receive a call to have someone come out and give a quote and timeline on when the work could be started, I was asked to send a few pictures and then I was told they would come out the next day.

Never showed up and never called. Called to asked if they ere still coming and simply got a response they were tied up and asked if the next day would work. Once again, after waiting around to ensure someone was home, never showed or called. Bottom line.how do you expect to gain business if you treat your customers the way you do. The good news is we found a great company to do the work!

Don't waste time waiting on this company to call back or come out. There are lots of other great landscaping companies looking for your business in the Middle TN area. They get one star for communication. I can't rate their quality of work.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value I called them 4 times for a quote and no one ever called back. Poor customer service!

I went in for an interview for a job that I didn't end up getting BUT I saw first hand how well the office staff welcomes people in their industry and the respect they have for Butch (the owner). Having only worked with them second hand in the past I can say they are a top notch business and treat customers and employees with a level of professionalism that rarely gets appreciated in this industry.

I have never written a negative review on any company. After all, people have bad days and sometimes things just happen. However, in this case I feel others who might be considering using Anne of Southern Creations should have insight to our experience before making their decision. My husband and I transformed our backyard adding a pool and pavilion.

We set a budget for landscape that exceeded $150,000. We took bids from several companies but decided to go with Anne. She clearly knows plants and has a good sense of design. Other companies also had great designs and knowledge but the assurance for follow up and implementing an ongoing maintenance plan was very important to us and we felt (based on Anne's promises) we would be best served by Southern Creations.

The initial install was excellent but then the problems began to manifest. After many, many repeated attempts to get Anne to respond by providing an ongoing maintenance plan over the course of almost 2 years.we finally gave up. Who would possibly install landscaping of this magnitude and do so if they had to provide their own service and maintenance?

We simply do not have that level of knowledge or time. If we had that kind of specialized knowledge we wouldn't have needed them in the first place. Bottom line Anne made a significant profit from us and then at the end of the day just left us on our own. I do want to say that she would replace dying or dead plants but it seemed no replacement ever occurred without repeated request and unless there was an opportunity to bill us for other ancillary items.

Which now in retrospect clearly gave her an opportunity to cover her cost of "guaranteed" replacements from other items she could bill us for. We know Butch (the owner of SC) to be respected in his industry and community but a business overall is only as efficient and as good as the people who work within it. That said our experience would indicate that Anne is generally interested in providing service ONLY on the front end.not the back end. So, keep this in mind when deciding about who you choose to design, install and then MAINTAIN your project.

I stopped at the garden center to look at plants and trees, left my information to call me regarding having landscaping done. Never heard from them. Went with someone else!

Hours are not posted and staff very inconsiderate of that fact that especially when driving across town to potentially spend thousands of dollars. Fortunately here in America we don't have to give business to people with awful customer service.

Run, don't walk, to Southern Creations. We had a complex and challenging landscape project and they solved it the first time, on time, within budget and with a true artist approach that met our needs and desires. Their customer service was OFF THE CHARTS and they communicated regularly with us on the process. Once the project was started, they were focused only on our project.

Their first priority was our satisfaction and we are thrilled. Working with a true professional who knows their trade has significant payback. Thank you all! We couldn't be happier.

Just had southern creations come to the house to try an quote us for an entire backyard makeover. We never mentioned what our budget was and in fact were prepared to spend whatever was needed to do the backyard my wive has always wanted. All they kept saying was that, "they wouldn't make enough on our yard". It was very insulting, it was like they were judging us off our house or something.

To bad they never took the time to actually get to know our situation or the fact that we had budgeted over 20K for this yard remodel. I guess talking to your potential client isn't important to this company.
