Very unpleasant experience. We contracted in April 2022 for lawn service, spring clean-up, and mulching. As of June 3, we have not had the clean-up or the mulching and have been given vague information every time we have inquired. The mowing has been fairly good in the main areas, but they have ignored some of the patches on our lawn and have done no edging.

I had several email exchanges with Lisa, the office manager, to get a handle on when they would provide an estimate for the mulching and when they would get to the spring clean-up. Her email response time has been excellent, but it never got anywhere; it kept getting pushed off and pushed off with no commitment to get it done in a reasonable time.

After several requests to have a call from a manager, I finally today got a voicemail from Gary (who I assume is the owner or a manager). When I called him back, he said he was calling because I had asked for a call back but took no responsibility for the problems we've experienced. His attitude suggested that he was going through the motions of returning my call, and when I expressed dissatisfaction about it, he said I was talking down to him because I'm an attorney and he's a landscaper, and suggested I should be thinking instead about the children killed in the latest school shooting. (Believe me, I think about those children constantly, but I fail to see what that has to do with landscaping or why he threw it into the conversation.) There were suggestions that their staffing is challenging due to COVID, which is certainly something I can understand, but the tone was simply unprofessional and in every failed the age-old maxim, "the customer is always right." It seems the times are very stressful for Gary, and I get that too.

But he needs a better outlet for it than lambasting customers. The right way to handle this situation would have been: "Hi, I'm Gary from Eastside Landscaping, and I understand we have not been providing you the level of service you expected and that we strive to deliver. I'm very sorry about that. How can we remedy it?" There was nothing like that. Instead, he seemed annoyed that a customer expressed dissatisfaction.

So we agreed to part ways. Bottom line: do not use Eastside Landscaping if you value prompt service and courteous communication. I realize now that there are several bad reviews on Google (focusing on the poor and rude communication), so I'm just adding mine to the list. I wish I had checked before. Doesn't seem they care enough about these consistent bad reviews to change their ways--they prefer instead just to insult and blame the customer.

I had been looking for a new snow plow co after my regular guy retired and after a couple years of dealing with awful services I called Eastside Landscaping and so glad I did! I had always noticed Eastsides trucks in my neighborhood plowing but for whatever reason I didnt hire them until this season. So far they have serviced my house exactly as they promised and above and getting in and out of our driveway in a snowstorm has never been easier! I highly recomend this company.

Hope this is the company that plows my driveway. Whom ever is the driver he is one heck 9f a good man. I try to always open the gate but today I didn't realize there was going to be so much snow and the gate was closed. He got out and open and shut the gate a d I apologize for not having it open. I'm on Freemont. Thank you so much.

These guys do a great job. When I called about a couple of small issues after our recent snowmageddon, a real live person answered the phone and the problems were fixed very quickly. I highly recommend their snow plow service.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value I can't imagine a plowing company being worse than this one. Apparently they don't seem to care about bad reviews. There are just so many, but if it helps in saving someone headache and money, I'll add my review in now. Need to find someone that does the job and does it well.

Have been customers since 2007, even though we weren't thrilled with their timing. My husband usually had to shovel a path himself, for his car to get out of drive for work. But last year, we had a huge snow, and our side of the street lost electric. My husband had to do his work on zoom from car battery in garage. I was trapped in. We called, were told they're one block away, and 3 hrs later, nothing!

Don't know why, but when we got their flyer again, I just paid it, and prayed. They called to say it was a mistake, they don't want our business, they didn't like frantic tone of my voice! She said we're bad customers! Argh!

Critical: Professionalism Nice people on the phone but this is the 3rd year in a row that I receive a flier with a quote, I call right away, and they inform me that the route is closed. Not a reliable company.

Last year was our first year for our yard with Eastside Landscaping. Couldn't be happier. Our lawn never looked more green, more full, and more cared for. even when I was doing all the work. Our planting beds and edging look great. Today was the first day of spring cleaning for 2021 and the crew just left. Such a nice day that we went for a walk and upon returning have to say that out yard looks the best in the neighborhood!

This company has the worst customer service. Contracted them to plow the snow. They were never on time, on occasions our driveway wasn't clean even until 5 pm despite multiple calls. Every time we called, they would get defensive and argue. Hoping to get our experience out there so people can read this and spare themselves he headache and frustration.

This is the worst snow ploughing company that I have had to deal with - if you want to pay someone to plough your driveway and do it yourself anyway - this is the way to go. They will try to find any and every reason in the book to try and not come to clean your driveway. There were 2 occasions with snow storms when their drivers who apparently were ploughing "all day and all night" showed up at 6 pm to clean my driveway after I called 4 times.

Their contract says that they will make every attempt to clean by 7 am - in fact they make every attempt to not clean the driveway at all. Office staff is extremely rude, especially the owner (Jim) and the manager (Gary). Gary talks to you as though he is doing you a huge favor by cleaning your driveway despite having charged for it at the beginning of the season.

It is funny how every other snow ploughing company in my neighborhood measures snow as 2 inches and more and clean their driveways but when I call eastside, they say it has not snowed at all and per their measurement (!), they won't come to clean. I have had to email them pictures of my driveway and even then no luck. I want to make everyone aware of the terrible service they provide - please see the attached picture of my driveway that these guys said is not enough snow to clean and decide for yourself.

After waiting patiently for three months for a spring cleanup (signed up on February and waited until June), I called and asked when we could expect it to be done. We were told by Gary that our business was not important to them because we were not "regular clients", even though we used Eastside Landscaping for Snow Removal this last winter. (The snow removal was mediocre at best.)

Amazing these guys even have any good reviews and amazing these guys are still in business. They dropped me mid season because 'there to busy' who does that!? To all current and customers, save yourself the time and headache in advance and find yourself a new service.

Came to my house to look at my yard. Said they will call me in a couple days. Never received a call back about pricing or to say if they could do the job. Called a week later and was told a person would call me back. Another week has passed I have yet to receive a phone call. Will not be recommending this company to anyone. Glad I found someone else to get the job done.

These guys completely messed up my lawn. When I left a message to explain the situation they didn't even have the decency to call back. There super quick to take my money and call with any billing questions but that's the only time I speak to someone.

I spoke with their booking department last Monday (11/4) morning to get setup for snowplowing service, sent in the payment last Wednesday (11/6), and they called me last Thursday (11/7) morning saying they couldn't fit me in. If you speak to someone, and you and they make an agreement on a service, you should be put unto the list, unless if you don't pay. And they gave NO indication on the first call that I would need to send in payment ASAP or else lose my spot. I definitely would not recommend this company.

Really atrocious experience with these guys. We had used them for a couple of years for snow-plowing and found them perfectly great. We moved to a new house and wanted to add some services and everything immediately went to h***. We had to call them 4 times over a month to get a quote for lawn-mowing. Then an additional 3 times to try and get them to do a spring clean-up at our new and old property, because they had missed this part of the order.

The first time we called they admitted they lost track of our order. Okay, no big deal. Then the next time, they got confused on all of the details of the clean-up, and they did the absolute worst clean-up you could imagine. It looked like about 30 minutes of work. Our beds were full of leaves. They put the debris by our street although we specifically asked them to dump in our woods in backyard. Just a really, really rotten job. In addition they literally only mowed half our yard. Truly bizarre. Called again and they just hung up on us. My advice: Avoid.

I find these other reviews downright puzzling. Eastside has been plowing my driveway (and my next-door neighbor's) without fail for several years. They're here early and do an excellent job.

I'd give them 3.75.our first time with them; know a co-worker who has used them happily for years. The issue is like so many companies, and the nature of the beast called winter: they're hired to remove the snow, not clean dry driveways.

Cashed my check one month ago based on a contract I received with my address on it. I called today and they said they don't plow my area. They would not have notified me I was out of their territory.
