If you own a pool.especially one with older equipment, you know some times it can be a challenge fixing an issue. Over the last few months my pool has presented me with a few of these challenges. And from my experience for many years is to get my help from Best Pool Supply. Excellent service, knowledge and super helpful. Excellent service! I had been driving all the way to the other pool supply place, but this is was way closer. They were out of liquid chlorine, which seems a little weird for a pool supply place, but fortunately that wasn't what I was there for.

Michael and Rob are such great people. We had an issue with our pool sweep not connecting and they helped us troubleshoot the problem. Turns out the pool guy I have (soon to be had) didn't know how to connect to the port unless it was threaded. So (pool guy) shaved down the nubs to nothing and sweep would not lock in. Our plaster guy was nice enough to put in a new port so Michael walked me thru the steps to get the sweep connected. And he did this on his day off! Thanks Best Pool Supply, I will always use and recommend you for pool supplies and questions.

Frantic I was today, learning that the new pool sweep detached itself from the connector. Besides that, a big water leak underneath the brand new pool equipment. Called and Rob was very, very helpful! Will follow his suggestions and call him tomorrow to let him know my discovery! My first time putting my precious I phone in a ziploc bag to take a pic of the fitting. Yes, I know my phones waterproof. but? So glad I called! If I need to buy another pool sweep, they earned my business.

This is my go-to store for pool chemicals, equipment, and advice. Great service, experienced staff, and they won't try to upsell you something you don't need. Get the Pool Rx each spring! Don't expect to shop for pool toys.

Very honest and helpful team at Best Pool Supply! Whatever I need I go and get from Best Pool Supply in Sacramento. Last time I was there I needed a replacement leaf canister. They had a slightly used one sitting around and gave me for free. Thank you again!

Bought a house with pool. Thought filter needed replacement. (Previous owners left a lot of things in need of repair.) Called Best Pool Supply and they suggested trying to clean it first. It worked great and they saved (or at least deferred) $500 for filter (System 3). Thanks Best Pool Supply you definitely have my business going forward!

I have been going here since they were at their old location and I have been 100% satisfied with them. So much, that I don't even bother to compare prices.with the level of service and knowledge they provide I'll go there regardless. Best Pool has saved me alot of money over the years. Several times I have come in to get parts and they've said "why don't you bring it in because I don't think that's the problem". Every time they've been right and it's always saved me money.

I love that they are very knowledgeable and efficient in their pool advise and keep problem solving until it's done! They are my favorite place to buy supplies!

Michael replaced pool equipment and improved the plumbing in the process. The workmanship and service was excellent.

This place is awesome! My pool sweeper needed some repairs done and Best Pool Supply got it fixed super quick. On top of that, they also tested my pool water (for free) when I dropped off the sweeper. Best of all, they didn't charge an arm and a leg for the repair! I highly recommend going to these guys first for your pool needs.

These guys really know their stuff. They are willing to repair what needs repairing, instead of insisting you buy something new. I recommend them with my highest recommendation.

They are indeed the best. Only place in Sacramento that had an OEM Hayward part I needed. The big name L store gave me a story and sold me the wrong part. The A stores ernestly tried but only had a non-oem part that did not fit. Even better, Best Pool Supply was cheaper and faster than if I went through the internet, which, by the way, sells a lot of non-OEM replacement parts that may or may not fit according to the many reviews. I needed an OEM part and Best Pool Supply delivered. Thanks Best.

I had no idea about taking care of a pool and these guys have helped me out the whole way. Just got my Polaris pool sweep overhauled, done in 1 day. I really appreciate their services.

These guys are great. They can always fix any problem I bring to them. I've tried other pool places, but, none can compare to the quality of the service, knowledge and price I have found here. Today they hand-crafted me a part to fit my skimmer box and they did not change me anythibg to adapt it. That is customer service at its best.

Not sure why the good reviews. I called to find out more about automatic pool cleaners, told the guy that I just got a new pool. Was given short answers and he made it sound like I was wasting his time.

They always have what I need, the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The last couple times I went in, they saw me carrying in my chlorine bottles, by the time I got done ordering the new ones they, had them loaded in my trunk already! Outstanding!

I love Best Pool Supply! I have been going to them since 2002 when I bought my house with a pool & had no idea what I was doing. They have very knowledgeable & helpful staff who have helped me with balancing/maintaining my water chemicals, repaired my pool skimmer & installed my new pool filter. I buy all of my chemicals from them & I leave knowing exactly what I need to do for my pool.

I like that they bring your chlorine out to your vehicle for you. Just make sure you count your change. I was shorted $20 today. Update: The shop contacted me and apologized and offered to make things right. I think Yelpers should know and I'll add two stars for that.

Always helpful, prompt and friendly. They go out of their way to help find the least expensive way to fix any problems you may have (ie: replacing a broken fitting instead of the whole line) - definitely not the experience I've had with other businesses who seem out to up-sell for complete replacements. Their weekend hours leave a little to be desired, but when I need something I plan my day around when they'll be open!

I purchased a home in the College Greens neighborhood in 2011, never having owned a pool before. My wife actually wanted to demolish the pool once we moved in, to avoid the maintenance costs and potential hassles. Best Pool Supply was on my way to work so I dropped in to find a small part for my ancient pool sweep. I expected to be "upsold" on a system overhaul, not a replacement part.

To the contrary, Dave (the co-owner) did the opposite; he took time to educate me about the part he thought I needed (trivial repair, ~$10) and the most cost-effective approach to balancing the pool's chemistry. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable on chemistry, fluid dynamics, and the mechanical engineering topics related to pools. Over the years, Dave even came over to the house (w/o charging a service fee) and has spent countless hours on the phone, to help diagnose a leak, and some electrical problems.

He steered me clear of the dozen lousy electricians and has saved me thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs. I cannot overstate my gratitude to Dave, Michael at Best Pool Supply and strong recommendation. They provide an extraordinary service, a genuine commitment to community and honest business.

I'm a happy customer who drives 40 miles round trip to shop here. Best Pool Supply is the antithesis of Leslie's -- lower prices, locally owned, knowledgeable, friendly staff (especially Rob). Can't believe it took me so many years to find this place, but I will never go anywhere else.

After spending a fortune at Leslie's over the years, I finally discovered Best Pool Supply. It's a 40 mile round trip, but their service and prices are excellent. Plus, they're locally owned and operated. Exactly the kind of business I want my money to support.

Called Best Pool Supply (BSP) because my pool pump wasn't drawing enough water. Over the phone, BSP diagnosed the problem to be debris in my impeller. They said that David could come by the next day. I got a call before 9 the next morning and talked to David who said that he could come by 1st thing. He came by at 9:30. He's a straight forward and pleasant person. He disconnected the pump and confirmed that It was the impeller. He cleaned it out and by 10 the pool pump was running fine. It was a good experience.

Well, I can't speak to the actually service but trying to organize a service call is nearly impossible unless you are retired and house bound. I called a week in advance to schedule service. I was told it would be Friday, anytime Friday, with a call 1/2 hour before. They did call, but I was in the car on my way to work. I called back and was told they would call the technician to find out what time they would be there.

They said they would call the technician and call me back. Well, no phone call back and 3 hours later, I call again. I'm told the technician now won't be able to make it today and would I like to reschedule. Reschedule what? An entire wasted day of sitting at home waiting? No thanks!

Best Pool Supply is a locally owned and operated pool repair, materials and equipment shop in Folsom Blvd. Near Power Inn Road. I've been taking my pool related problems here since 2005. Slightly out of the way for my East Sacramento location, they make up for it in their knowledgeable service, quick and reliable repairs and extensive selection at reasonable prices. Drive the extra five minutes past Home Depot. The water analysis alone is worth it! And if you have algae problems ask about their Pool Rx, it's amazing.
