AAA upgraded my alarm panel for 5G a couple of months ago. The installation was okay but I started having problems, weird alarm errors and sensors not working. I called a couple of weeks ago and they said a technician would come out on September 14. Nobody showed up so I called them and they had no record of a service call. The new control panel is a big step up from what I had before but the service has been below expectations.
I had an older alarm system that was replaced. Kept the existing sensors. Never had any problems with the old system but this one there's three or four problems that need to get resolved. Door sensor being offline and then coming online, alerts that they did not receive a signal from my town home Etc.

Prompt, professional, and personal! These guys have been great to us. My partner and I moved our business into a new building where there was some AAA Security equipment already installed. They helped us add new cameras and security locks. They also gave us great personal service. They even send invoices for our approval before charging our card. I can't recommend them enough!

I just received a threat in the mail from AAA that they're turning me over to collections. They are failing to honor a 'free month' to sign a 1-year contract along with honoring a 25% discount off of a $500 repair bill. And now attempting to force a 2-month cancellation fee. I've been with Safeguard since 2014. They 'Were' a family owned business but were purchased by a Calif company years ago.
Now purchased 'or merged' with AAA. They have poor service response time, no one manning the phones, and for whatever reason unable to correct the system issues that caused repeated false alarms and dropped sensor reads. I've paid so much money over the years to address service, replacement devices, repeaters, maintenance contracts, and replacement batteries.
I needed to change companies. Wanting security and feeling safe are not what you can expect from this organization. I'll be contacting the Attorney General's Office and the BBB to file a complaint. This is corporate harassment. I do humbly apologize as the confusion rests with your company having a very similar name to AAA who merged or bought Safeguard. My comments about your company are withdrawn. And I am sorry. I'm surprised that there aren't trademark issues for your company.

Such a worst company with termination fee and contracts with auto renewals. I have been with the company for the past 6 years and now I regret with their service to the loyal customers, They don't even want to compliment with a battery. Even when I request for cancellation, they say, it just got auto-renewed in November and I am stuck for another year or I have to pay for all the remaining months. I thought it was month to month after initial 2 years. Such a rip off.

A very deceptive company as they hold their customers under contract for life. I asked to cancel after being with them for 18 years and they told me that I owe them for 2 more months of service. Also, when you need service they charge $125 for the first hour. After paying $5,000 for service you would think they would treat you better! If you want real monitoring and great service go with ADT direct as I have.
Also worth noting, the 5 star rating that is posted below by L.S. or Lisa Spano who is employed by AAA Alarm. This is another deceitful business practice of this company. Please ignore all cop-outs by Jimmy Livingston as he a biased owner or the owners son, need I say more!

I have been a customer at AAA Alarm for 6 years. My alarm system works off my home phone landline. About 6 months ago, I called to have my system upgraded to a wireless service. The secretary told me that I would receive a call back the next day for the upgrade. No one ever called. Recently AAA Alarm changed their monitoring service. Even though I have set off my alarm accidentally several times, NO ONE FROM THE MONITORING SERVICE HAS EVER CALLED ME OR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
When I have had conversations with the monitoring company, representatives have been extremely RUDE. I called AAA Alarm and complained as well. Never sign a contract with this company. Their contracts automatically renew and they will not let you out of the contract. Auto renew contracts have been banned in numerous states just because of situations like this.
Because I am unhappy with the monitoring company and AAA Alarm, they will not allow me out of their contract. I am being forced to pay for 9 months of service that I will not use. I have already switched to another company. There's only one thing that I can say about this company.avoid it.

Beware misleading sales tactics and incorrect billing! I purchased a home and considered AAA, because the prior owner had prepaid six months with them, and offered that credit to me. When I talked with AAA, they told me that "the prior contract was cancelled, and there was no credit available" - but this was not true. They then tried to sell me on signing a new two year contract to continue service.
When I said I needed to check with the seller, they told me I "had to return the equipment immediately", or pay a fee of about $300. At this point, I had not even moved in and didn't know what the "equipment" was. Then AAA emailed and called the seller (92 year old woman) and told her that "I had refused service and refused to return the equipment" - this was not true.
I later chose another security company and emailed AAA to let them know they could come pick up their equipment. I had no response on my first, second or third messages. Recently I was shocked when I received an invoice from AAA for monthly service! I NEVER signed a contract with AAA, and their equipment is not even operational. I now have to dispute this invoice. They falsely billed me for services never provided.

This Company is horrible. I have a highly regulated business that requires a tremendous amount of security. AAA Alarm & Security Inc left us days on end without imperative service from a tech, they were on vacation all at the same time. My business and my employees were all in jeopardy. When I was forced to cancel the contract and incur a tremendous cost when hiring a new security company to ensure I was in compliance with regulations and keeping my employees safe, instead of saying they were sorry, they chose to SUE ME for the balance of the service contract (for which they did not service because I hired another company!) DO NOT EVER HIRE this sub par nasty company for ANYTHING!

Be very careful when signing your contract. After the usual two-year commitment, the contract automatically renews every year thereafter unless cancelled more than 30 days in advance. After I wanted to switch to another company for a better alarm system and at less cost, AAA required me to pay for 10 months of unneeded service. Too bad they never send renewal messages as a courtesy to their customers. Not a good way of doing business.
