Ozburn-Hessey has a community-based approach to business. Family owned and operated since 1953, we focus primarily on helping businesses in our own neck of the woods. Over the years we've helped businesses all over Nashville and the surrounding area, including Madison, Brentwood, Franklin, Green Hills, Antioch, and Hendersonville.
Our work can be seen at Baptist Hospital, Centennial Hospital, Bridgestone Arena, Vanderbilt and Belmont University, just to name a few. From floors to ceilings, we are determined to deliver the only highest quality flooring and ceiling installation. So, how are we different from the rest?

I've worked in commercial construction for over 12 years as a PM for a GC, and have done many projects with Ozburn-Hessey over the years. They are top notch in every aspect, quality, and will always do whats right. Mark & Matt are VERY good people, and I trust them! I am very happy to call them friends not just people we do business with.

The only good thing I can say is that we have a floor. I would not recommend OH for engineered wood installation on a slab. I was assured by OH representatives that they are the best and only take jobs that can be done the right way. Unfortunately, when there were issues with installation (loose, springy boards), they started blaming the slab saying those were low spots. However, part of their quote was to prep the slab.
In one corner, the boards slid loose easily. Transitions, other than the starting wall, were sloppy. To all issues, the reply was that it could be fixed. For the corner that the slab was "too low" where the boards slid loose, it took 3 fixes, one of which included using dirty rocks from outside to try to weigh the boards down to adhere to a heavier duty adhesive. Finally, it was glued down!
But then it was much higher than the rest of the floor. The response, the slab is "too high there" but we can fix that. Blaming the slab for being too low then too high in the same place was just part of the headache. We asked to match the existing wood floor in the house and realized too late that OH had recommended an inferior quality of wood which has knots that exposed the engineered backing.
The response, they can "fix" that. they will putty. But of course, there are plenty of holes that were not filled, including drilled holes where they added adhesive where the floor wasn't installed properly. So in the end, we have a floor. What should be beautiful hardwood floor to admire, I can't wait to cover with rugs (waiting 3 months per the recommendation of the finisher).
They finished the job to their satisfaction on April 28, 2020. I didn't want to write a review, but I see this floor every day and am beyond disappointed and wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else. The "fixes" wouldn't have been needed if the right quality of product was recommended, the slab was prepared appropriately, and the installation was done properly. They may be good for other flooring, but I would never recommend them for engineered wood installation on a slab.

Great folks at Ozburn-Hessey and work hard to assist customers in those difficult to find items. Matt was lot of help us find older number floor tiles and some matching ceiling tiles. They carry a full lines of stair treads too! As a School Facility Engineer in building Maintenance for over 15 years and covering Million square feet of facilities, it's been a pleasure to have these folks as a supplier and resource to our disposal Mike Plunkett Hickman County School District

We've used O-H multiple times over the past decade+. They have been quick to respond, professional in the job at hand (flooring, ceiling installation, etc.) and reasonable in price.easy and deserving to give a 5-star rating.
