I had a landscape architect by the name of Doug come out to look at my property. Unfortunately, he wasted an hour and half of my time. He never got back to me with a quote and when I asked him for one he said " No quote yet. you are in my stack of many job quotes I'm chipping away at. unfortunately I can't sit in the office all day and pump out quotes.
I have to wear many hats within the company. I may have something for you next week. Best I can do. All these things take time. Thanks for checking in." Never heard from him again. He was unprofessional and unresponsive from the beginning. I definitely do not recommend this company, especially if you are a home owner trying to touch up/redo your landscaping.
Wish he wouldn't have wasted my time is all. Also I see the work Metrolina does around my place of work and they don't even keep up with maintaining the grass well, as there are tons of brown patches all across the vicinity.

Critical: Professionalism I was at a gas station when employers in a company truck made me feel uneasy. They were looking in my direction and saying things towards me. I felt very uncomfortable as I was alone at the gas station with just them. When I finished I got into my car and tried to take some pictures of the people in the truck staring at me.

I am so impressed with Metrolina Landscape. My yard was a WRECK. This hot summer we just let it all go. Metrolina came in and cleaned it all up in ONE DAY. Price was very reasonable. Work was professional. Just cannot say how pleased I am with the work. And now I can show my face outside again since my house doesn't look abandoned! I will absolutely use them again and cannot recommend enough. Thank you Metrolina Landscape!

We wasted $12,000+ on Metrolina when we built our new home. Lived in another state and trusted them to know what they were doing. Plantings were all wrong--ex, 9 hydrangeas put in full sun (cannot survive full sun in NC). Had to replace every single planting that wasn't an evergreen, and several of those doing badly after two years. Everything we've put in ourselves is doing fine, with help of local nursery. Don't waste your money!

Was riding down 485 had a truck throw a rock and crack my windshield. This isn't an issue things happen so i take a couple pictures of the tag # & DOT # and call them to inform them of what happened. I was asked to get a quote so i did and then I'm called by the insurance company which asked for all the images and information. so i provided it and stated all i wanted was my windshield fixed nothing more.
They claimed that the drive says he didn't have rocks in the back, and since i didn't call the police and get them involved they are required to do anything. So a local company that is whiling to avoid a small issue ($400 quote) when they're truck threw a rock this explains all the reviews i just started reading. Sad part is i'm aware of the company and have seen them doing a lot work in my neighborhood along with our HOA package. Good news is we can always adjust our landscaping company at our next board meeting.

Metrolina Landscape did a lot of work at my house last fall: they installed in-ground irrigation (including soaker pipes), created plant beds and added border around them, planted lots of shrubbery, built two footpaths with stone pavers, and brought my downspout runoff below ground. I was very impressed with everything they did. The footpaths in particular exceeded my expectations, and the plants are so pretty and add so much color and beauty to my yard.
I loved working with my salesperson, Doug. He was very thorough and meticulous and came by the site repeatedly to ensure the crew was doing the job perfectly. I got numerous estimates that ranged from $10K to $24K. Metrolina came in at $15K - just below the midpoint. So I'm not sure how these other reviews are saying how expensive they are.? The only negative I have is about the irrigation manager, Mark.
He was awful about getting back to me and was just not responsive at all. Fortunately I had to deal with him only a bit and Doug was my main point of contact. If you call Metrolina during their busy season (especially spring), they're gonna have a hard time getting back to you for your estimate. Keep trying! They're worth it. They've done several houses in my neighborhood, and their work is always top-notch.

This was my first experience with Metrolina Landscape. I recently purchased a new home and had one of their sales consultants meet with me to discuss an entire yard (front, back and side) installation plan. The consultant indicated he would get back to me with a plan that included my ideas as well as some of his own, and a quote for the work. That was almost two months ago, and I have not yet had the courtesy of a response.
It is my fervent wish that the consultant has not experienced some tragic life event that prevented him from responding in a professional manner. If that is the case, my apologies. But if he is just a unprofessional individual who does not follow through on his word, then perhaps as a consumer you should probably take your business elsewhere.

I had an empty bucket fly from one of their vehicles on the highway and strike my car. I watched it come flying out of a trailer and bounce through traffic, and considering the vehicles all around there was no way to dodge it without colliding with someone else. I took the hit rather than causing an accident. I called to report the incident, including a description of the vehicle and the plate number and photos of the damage to my car - and now they are telling me that they won't do anything about it because "the plate number I gave them is theirs, but it doesn't match the kind of vehicle that dropped the bucket".what?
I didn't pull that number out of thin air. If you guys are switching plates around on vehicles, that doesn't give you the right to be negligent about your equipment and endanger other drivers. In fact, it tells me you are unethical and don't give a tin ring about rules, safety, or accountability. If this is how lax and unresponsive they are when it comes to their own equipment, I can't imagine they'd take good care of MY property should I ever need their services. I will never, EVER use this company nor will I recommend them to anyone I know. What a horrible experience.
