Safe House Exteriors

The absolute worst company I've ever had to deal with. He calls on the phone screaming and yelling when he was asked to fix the shingles that were standing up in the wind; didn't seal around the installed skylights and wind and dirt was flying into the house. And the hatchet job done around the chimney when the roof was installed was and still is ugly and uneven. I could go on for pages on this. My recommendation is don't ever use this company, if they even still exist.

The workmanship is impeccable. They made my house look amazing. Safe House did both my roof and siding. Their employees were fast and friendly. They cleaned up when they were done. The owner took the time to walk me through the process and he was very patient with me. Would absolutely recommend to a friend or family.

My husband and I'd experience with Safe House Exteriors was horrible. We decided to use them for an insurance claim for our roof because our neighbor used them and I wish we hadn't! There were multiple issues throughout the entire process but our biggest issue was with the sales representative, Brad Walker, who promised us a specific start date, a discount on the upgraded high impact shingles we opted for, and that the damage to our siding was indeed hail damage and that it would "definitely" be covered under the claim.

The promised start date came and passed without any of the materials even being delivered (without as much as a courtesy phone call to us to let us know they wouldn't be able to start on the promised date that we had in writing), the discount we were promised on the upgraded shingles that weren't covered by our insurance was never applied to the final bill, and our siding wasn't covered at all after two different inspectors deemed it wasn't hail damage like Brad had told us.

The whole experience with Safe House was one of the most painful and deceitful experiences we've ever dealt with with any business! Broken promise after broken promise, poor communication and after it the whole process was finally completed we were left feeling taken advantage of and disrespected. Beware of Safe House. They don't care about their customers only lining their pockets!

We had a major hailstorm in our neighborhood on 8/11. From the very first contact with the salesperson, Ryan Peets, Chris and his team totally took care of us! Ryan did a great job of explaining the process and even worked with our insurance company to relieve some of the stress. We made them aware we were putting our house on the market. They went the extra mile to complete the roofs on our home, barn and potting shed and installed new gutters and downspouts in a very timely fashion.

The crews that work for this company just don't quit, very hard working! Our insurance company only approved filling in the nicks and spot painting our home so Ryan got them back out for a second inspection. Chris worked with our insurance company to explain the house needed to be painted to look right. Chris got them to approve painting three sides of the house and we took care of the fourth side of the house.

Great job Chris and thanks to Jose and his painting team! Our property looks fantastic and because we used Safe House Exteriors, we were under contract in less than four weeks after listing it. We highly recommend working with this company, excellent communication!

Will not use again, gave 3 stars because the finished product was good, the owner is responsive and seems to care about his company. Promised that everything would be done right the first time.no such luck. Had to get the owner of the company involved, from start to finish it took just shy of 1 year to get the roof done. Only saving grace is that most of the time the owner is reachable and reasonable, however to get anything done I had to call or text him directly.

After talking to him for months I sent him a text about stuff that still hadn't been taken care of and his response was "who's this?".I understand he's the owner of a company that does a lot of things but it was a pretty poor display of customer device on his part. End of the day the roof got done but it wasn't without a ton BS and constant contact on my part. When these guys show up on your door, don't even bother answering.

Excellent workmanship and superior customer service. They were very quick to start and complete all repairs on our house and outside structures after a massive hail storm. Started and completed work even with the insurance check having to go through the mortgage company. Would highly recommend.

Safe House Exteriors was an amazing company all the way through the process of getting my new roof. They had the old roof off in one day and the new roof on the next. Very professional and incredibly responsive.

I had my roof replaced in March and looked great. But once the rains started I noticed a leak from the new roof. I called Safe House and they sent someone out to fix it right away. They found a tear in one of the shingles from the installation that had been leaking. They even paid to have the stains fixed in my ceiling. They do stand behind their work and back it up. Even though my installation did not go the best, I do recommend them as they stand behind what they do.

Chris and his crew did a wonderful job on our roof. We were in a time crunch and he worked us in to a tight schedule. His crew was friendly, hard working and cleaned up the area when they were finished with the roof. I would highly recommend them.

We had issues with paying them, 2 days after I got the check from insurance they tried to add a 250 late fee, they agreed to take 1000 for the insurance deductible and tried not to, eventually both were fixed. Also the siding needed to be replaced from hail and siding company could not finish the trim because the roof trim pieces were nailed in and could not be removed so now we are missing the siding trim pieces.

The owner was suppose to call and never has, not sure who is at fault- siding company or safe house but assuming it's safe house since they won't call me back. They also took over a month to fix hail damage on our car first saying dealership lost the truck the hood was in 2nd time saying the paint didn't turn out so it had to be repainted, did a bad job on masking- there was paint on most of the black rubber trim pieces on a white car and promised a rental car which we never got.

Insurance paid to have roof and gutters replaced. The came out in September I believe and did the roof. After completion, the first rain I noticed puddles in my bathroom. It turned out they didn't put caps on the stacks. The did come out the next day and replaced right away. A couple weeks later the gutter guys came out and put a gutter on my barn which sat only about 1/4 inch out from the edge of the roof and didn't catch rain water.

Didn't hear from them for 2 months until they requested the final payment. They didn't realize they never replaced the gutters on my house and I explained the barn gutter issue. They did come out and finish the gutters and fixed the gutter issue on the barn. The work was completed about 6 months after the initial contract signing. Work was done nicely.

The 3 stars are for the lack of communication, the less than 24 hour notice upon arrival and/or just showing up without a call, the leaks because of the missing caps and they just left the satellite dishes just hanging off the roof. There were also billing issues that had to be rectified.

Chris was great to work with on our new hail resistant roof! I was so impressed with the work these guys did I thought they deserved a pat on the back. I had three different contractors bid the hail damage on my home. Safe House was the lowest bid by several thousands of dollars. They found damage that no one else did, fixed it and got the insurance company to pay for it. I was surprised how easy and fast everything was accomplished. Job Well Done!

I was very pleased with the exceptional customer service at Safe House Exteriors. Everyone you talk to is very nice and extremely accommodating. Great products and workmanship too! I'd definitely recommend them to anyone.

Run Run Run. What a mess I have because of this crook. His company forged my mortgage companies name on the first three and only checks that I gave him and this was probably the best thing that happened because I ended up with all the money back. Now he is suing me for payment for an awful roof. I had a cedar shake and was given enough money by my insurance company to replace this roof.

These roofs are very expensive. He told me also that he would make sure I got the correct amount of money for the items that I needed replaced. All he did is sell me on a lesser quality roof so that he could pocket more money. There is now a class action against the company, Tamko, for the Heritage IR shingle. This is the shingle that he put on my roof.
