Optima Kitchen & Bath

We've used Optima Kitchen & Bath for two remodels, the first a tile floor replacement in our guest bath, and most recently a remodel of our 45-year-old master bathroom to modernize it and make it more accessible. We couldn't be more pleased with how quickly the remodel was started and completed and how beautiful and functional the finished product turned out, especially the shower.

The accessibility features enhance the design and make the bathroom more functional even for able-bodied users. Amin provided excellent design advice, and Malcolm provided regular updates on the project schedule and responded promptly and cheerfully to our requests for information and a couple of minor design changes. We enjoyed working with them and highly recommend Optima for bathroom remodels.

I used Optima Kitchen & Bath on two separate occasions. They first repaired/remodeled my shower after it was leaking several weeks after purchasing my property in March of 2021. I used them again that summer for a kitchen renovation. The team was very helpful and professional on both occasions, especially weeks after moving into my home and dealing with a leak.

As a first time homebuyer I cannot state enough how much Malcolm and team made the insurance process easy to deal with and the shower repair went well and was back up and running in no time. The damage was significant and post repair it was properly sealed and insulated. They were additionally great in their kitchen renovation. For someone who is indecisive/indifferent on designs they advised me on designs that brought my kitchen into the present decade, as it was several decades old and desperately needed to be upgraded.

The only issue was out of their hands in relation to supply chain, which made the renovation take a bit longer but in the end the kitchen still turned out fantastic. Months later they also came back to take care of a dishwasher installation issue and another small issue and now between a new looking kitchen and new appliances the kitchen looks as modern as the decade we're in.

We used Optima Kitchen & Bath in April of 2022 to do a kitchen "refresh" - - we replaced the counter, repainted cabinetry, installed backsplash, fixed lighting and installed new appliances. OK&B was one of the only places we could find that agreed to help witha "refresh" as opposed to a complete rip out and rebuild, which would have been a huge environmental waste and would have taken a ton of time.

We were so happy to work with Malcolm, who was timely and responsive with absolutely no cost overruns, who accomodated last minute design changes cheerfully and worked seamlessly with my personal decorator and my paint guy. I can't say enough great things aout how pleased we were with the value we received and how quickly our project was completed. Thank you very much!

Optima Kitchen & Bath just completed a full renovation of my kitchen, and I am thrilled with the results. Before I provide further details, I will note that this is the second time I engaged Optima for renovations. Several years ago, Optima renovated the bathrooms in my home; because I was so pleased with the quality of that work and the professionalism of the company, I didn't even consider other contractors when it was time for renovation of the kitchen.

From the outset of the process, Amin, the owner of the company, took the the time to carefully explain all that the project entailed. At every step, he and the project managers kept me informed of the status of the work. Amin carefully and thoughtfully guided me in selection of cabinets, countertops, flooring and fixtures. Every craftsman who installed these items and completed the remaining scope of work paid exceptional attention to every detail.

This impressive renovation began with Amin's amazing design sensibilities. The kitchen is a galley-style kitchen in a 1930s-era home, which I now understand presented challenges unique to working in a confined space. At every stage, Amin and the members of his team managed to optimize the work, storage and dining spaces. I'm still amazed by the transformation! I highly recommend Optima Kitchen & Bath.

We just had our fireplace completely rebuilt and used OptimaKB as they had already done such an exceptional job on our kitchen remodel. The team is extremely talented, friendly and hardworking, working late into the evenings and around the clock to ensure the project was completed on time. Optima was great to work with. The work they did was excellent. The only delay was the shower glass subcontractor who was 3 weeks late, although his work was also excellent. We had a ceiling collapse in our bathroom, caused by a leaky pipe in the floor of the bathroom above. We decided to take the opportunity to completely remodel both bathrooms, and Optima came in an created showcase bathrooms for us. They listened closely to our ideas and worked hard to make them a reality. Amin and Malcolm accommodated every idea and change of plans without question, aiming to keep us informed and satisfied at every step of the way as they guided us to making the best decisions.

They worked with our insurance company, and also provided a great value on the remodeling that exceeded the replacement cost. They were attentive, communicative, professional and easy to work with. I recommend them very highly.

Malcolm and his team are wonderful! We had water damage in our bathroom that leaked into our kitchen ceiling. They repaired the water damage and retiled the bathroom floor and repaired the kitchen ceiling. Even switching out light fixtures in the house for me. The guys were all really nice and did a great job doing the work, cleaning up, and working in a house with two dogs who love everyone ha.

I highly recommend going with Optima! The price are reasonable (less than 2 others quoted!) and the work is GREAT! Really looking forward to using them for all our future projects.

I contacted Optima when the shower pan in my master bathroom cracked and water started to leak on the ceiling of the floor below. My main contact was Malcolm and he was very easy to work with. He knew how to work with my insurance company and walked me through the process. The price I was quoted at the beginning was the price I paid. He provided me frequent updates on when the work was going to be completed.

The shower glass took a bit longer than expected but otherwise the work was completed within the timeline we discussed. All of the folks that came to work in my home were respectful and took care to clean up behind themselves. The final project came out beautifully and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

This by far the worst customer service and sales staff I have ever encountered. They make promises they cant keep. They can't acknowledge a complaint they won't even follow through. They will spin you in circles and overcharge you if you raise an issue. I am terribly busy juggling work and my kids. I dont have the time or patience for incompetence. Save your time and energy find a professional service elsewhere if you don't want a headache.

Malcolm, Amin, and their team were absolutely awesome. With the exception of a few odds and ends, they were remodeled my bathroom in two weeks. They gave me an estimate, they met with me in their studio, they started the work on time - and finished a very high quality job. My condo is in older building (and I thought they did a great job) and it's hard to remodel in places like mine - and I am likely going to hire them to remodel my kitchen. I recommend that you hire them. 5 stars here.

Optima was both professional and very responsive with my shower remodeling, which was due to an insurance claim. Malcolm, who has background in insurance, was helpful in the claim process as this was a claim that had to be filed on a recently purchased home. The demolition and renovation took a total of about 2 weeks and Optima was communicative the whole time, which made the ordeal (as a first time homebuyer) more bearable.

Our kitchen remodeling job was a big project, with lots of moving parts. Amin, Victor and the crew were organized, efficient, and professional. The quality of the finished product was excellent. I especially appreciated their flexibility in handling the curve balls that came up from time to time. I would highly recommend their services. We absolutely loved working with Amin, Victor, and Nasim at Optima. From the start, Amin was incredibly responsive and proactive. We added a new bathroom to an old row house in DC - adding new plumbing was far from easy. Throughout the process, Amin was attentive to the details, patient and thorough, and Victor and his team were amazing. We couldn't be more pleased with the end result.

The whole team was a joy to work with and we appreciate the care that they put into our first home renovation. We will look forward to working with Amin, Victor, and Nasim again in the future!

OKB was a dream to work with, and did a fantastic job remodeling our powder room. I smile every time I walk by it now! I met and spoke with a few other contractors, but knew right away when I met them that I wanted to work with them. They were quick to respond to my inquiry, finished the project before the holidays, which was important to me, and were very flexible.

We have more work to do on our townhouse later this year and we'll definitely hire them again. Their contractors were very nice and professional, on time, and even went out to get lightbulbs for my bathroom light fixture after I forgot to buy them before the installation. I work in the interior design industry and honestly can't recommend them highly enough. They're personable, professional, do great work, and priced very well. I finally have my dream powder room!

After thoroughly interviewing and researching several contractors, my wife and I hired Amin under a very stressful situation. We bought our first home only to come home 4 days after we moved in to our entire home flooded due to a burst pipe. Amin's honesty, knowledge, caring, and calm demeanor helped us work through the steps we needed to take to repair our dream purchase back into what we fell in love with the day we purchased it. Amin's staff (Tony, Victor, John and others) also extended the same character, attitude, and performance in the repairs of our home. Optima Kitchen & Bath did large-scale repair work to our home, including demo, new hardwood floors, drywall and painting, and three bathrooms.

We could not be happier with the work! The work is of the highest quality, and it exceeded our expectations. Prior to beginning the job, Amin came to our home on multiple occasions. Not only did he walk through several times to plan the job, but the employees who would actually be doing the work visited our home to familiarize themselves with the work that would be required. Amin guided us throughout the entire process with excellent design advice, and he was very quick to respond any time we had a question.

Throughout the process, Amin communicated regularly about the day-to-day work that was being done and took the time to meet with us on-site in person to ensure that the job was being done to our satisfaction. A good contractor is one who can work within your budget and provide you with options of what needs to be done, what should be done, or what can be done to fix or improve your home. Amin and his staff were very detailed oriented on color schemes, size of tile/moulding, placement and size of lights, and other details we never would have thought of.

The work was efficient, and they worked around our schedule. Above all, Optima was honest, trustworthy, and a company we knew we could fully trust to do high quality work on our home. After our experience, we highly recommend Amin Hussein and his crew at Optima Kitchen & Bath, and we will hire them in any future renovations we do.
