D. F. Maher Architects-Builders has been designing and building Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) homes and buildings, as well as standard structures since 1992. We build our projects as Construction Managers (CM) and that process alone can save our clients up to fifteen percent of the cost of construction.We have included hundreds of photos of completed projects as well as text information on the ICF construction process. David Maher has a masters degree in architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is a member of the AIA. We work all over Wisconsin, as far north as the tip of Door County and as far south as the Illinois state line.

Geothermal Heating and Cooling, coupled with Insulated Concrete Form Construction (ICF) provides the ultimate in energy efficiency. We install a heat collection system to extract the heat from the earth and use it to heat and cool homes and buildings. By extracting the heat from the earth, we can dramatically reduce the amount of gas, oil and electricity we use.

We design all of our homes using three dimensional computer aided design that lets our clients see their ideas melded into a stunning home. In twenty years we have never built the same home twice. My wife and I are in the final stages of our building project with D.F. Maher and had a wonderful experience. David is easy to work with and had outstanding design concepts based on our input. His many years of architectural experience are evident. We would highly recommend him, especially for anyone interested in ICF construction.
