WOW. WE COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH JAMES VIBAR AND HIS AZTEC EXTERIORS COMPANY! We had James come to our house in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, in April 2021, to inspect our roof and gutters and give us an estimate for replacement of the roof and gutters on our 1941 house. We needed to stop roof leaks due to water backing up under our old shingles from winter "ice dams" that had produced ceiling damage on all the main floor rooms in our house. James used a drone camera and the latest "Hover" software to provide a very detailed quote and summary of the proposed work to solve our roof leak problems.
He welcomed and encouraged our questions and responded promptly and thoroughly at all times. His subcontractors for new roof installation, gutter and gutter cover and siding installation in June 2021 were OUTSTANDING! We have recommended James and his Aztec Exteriors Company to neighbors and some friends. All have been very happy with his promptness and competent advice on how he proposed to help them solve their problems.

Aztec Exteriors is fantastic! We hired them to safely scrape and repaint our older home (and install new gutters), which had some lead paint concerns. Aztec is certified in Lead Safe Practices with the EPA and State of MN, and they took the job very seriously - taking every precaution for their workers and for our home - taping windows, putting down tarp everyday, even vacuuming around the exterior at the end, etc. The end result is beautiful - we love the new paint job. They are fantastic people and we would hire them again and recommend to anyone!

We worked with James on our roof replacement after a hail storm came through in early June. As we had just bought the house in February, we were definitely not looking forward to having to make such a major repair so quickly after moving in. James was extremely responsive and helpful. He came out an met with our insurance adjuster on very short notice. (Our insurance company is pretty awesome and responsive too.) Once we had approval from insurance to move forward with the replacement, Aztec had its crew out within 2 days and completed their replacement of our roof much quicker than we anticipated. James personally walked us around the house after completion to address any concerns we may have with the clean up and anything that needed more attention.
As part of any major project, sometimes there is some collateral damage, i.e. plants killed by debris being thrown of house, or items falling off shelves/walls from the work being done on the roof. We had a large mirror fall in our master bath about 3 days after the work was complete, and James and Aztec paid for the replacement, no questions asked. These guys are extremely easy to work with and want to make sure the job is done right and their clients are satisfied. I would definitely work with them again.

Aztec Exteriors was extremely responsive, available, and thorough. James and Bill are great to work with. We had them come out for a water damage inspection and ended up having some soffit replaced and ceiling refinished. Not only did they come out and do a thorough inspection after we had ice dam damage, but advised us that we did not need to pursue replacing a wall that we originally thought had to be (a huge relief!).
They also dealt with our insurance company and took care of everything! Bill was extremely communicative and personable. They and their sub-contractors did a great job on our house, and when we're ready for some work in the future, we will definitely be contacting them again.
