John Isom Fence is a family owned business which began as a part-time college job. While attending school at Abilene Christian University and playing football for the Wildcats, John Isom began working with a competent local carpenter building fences. In 1977, after completing a degree in Agri-business, he and his wife Jean purchased full ownership of the company, naming it John Isom Fence.

John is a quality craftsman and his work is recognized throughout the Abilene area. As John's reputation for quality fencing at a fair price grew, he made a life decision to emphasize quality versus quantity. He is involved in every fence project from beginning to end.

Only the best materials can make the best wood fence. Thirty years ago the majority of our privacy wood fences were made from 1x4spruce pickets with wooden post, fast forward to today and the majority of our fences are constructed of 1x 6 cedar pickets and heavy gauge, galvanized pipe post. With over 35 years of experience we understand the life expectancy of our products.

Our standard fence is a 1x 6 cedar, dog eared picket fence, built on heavy duty, galvanized pipe post with three white wood runners, set in concrete and attached with aluminum screw shank nails. Decorative fences add interest to your yard, define your space and can provide support for plantings and a visual block for storage or pool equipment.
