Mulching
Report
As long as no more than 33% of the foliage is removed during the lawn mowing the grass clippings will not cause thatch buildup. Mulching the lawn's grass clippings are very beneficial for the lawn because they recycle organic matter and water back into the soil. Mulching keeps vital nutrients in the soil and it does not cause thatch buildup.
Lawn Care
Report
The lawns that tend to do the best in the hot summer months are the lawns that had an application of the slow release pre-emergent weed control and organic fertilizer called Synergy. The fertilizer in Synergy promotes early root development allowing them to dig deep into the soil helping protect the grass from heat and drought stress later in the summer.

Mowing
Report
Proper mowing techniques can dramatically improve a lawn's appearance and overall health and they are simple and easy to follow. The recommended mowing height for Colorado's cool season grass types is 2.5 inches or taller from March- early April and October. It is important to raise the mower height to 3 inches or taller from the middle of April through September.

This company is dishonest and has stolen money from us. After signing a contract and giving them the required credit card. We called and canceled our contract because their product was doing nothing for our lawn. In fact following their lawn care instructions killed our grass. They agreed to cancel the contract and refund our last treatment. They. never gave us a refund.
Then every month for the last 4 months they have scheduled someone to come out to our house. We have to take the time to call them and once again explain we are no longer clients. Yesterday I woke up to find they had charged my credit card $150 for services when we are not even customers any longer. That's called STEALING and FRAUD. It's outrageous.

Mr. Green was informative, punctual and on top of his art. A very cordial employee in whom Organo Lawn can have high regard for his work He aerated our lawn and applied a premergent agent and even used a leaf blower to remove some loose mud from our paver sidewalk. Class act in all ways. Thankful to be a Organo client.

Organo contacted us to move up our sprinkler blow out as a hard freeze was coming and came on time and the cost was as they estimated beforehand based on the number of zones we have. Everything went smoothly and Paul wore his mask, answered my questions about a possible leak. Smooth and easy! thank you!

Scheduling the appointment was fast and efficient, much more professional than the small sprinkler blowout guys I've used in the past, who didn't even respond to voice messages to set up an appointment. Email communication before and after the appointment was thorough. The tech, Cameron Mera, answered my questions honestly about the direction I should take with our lawn and offered a few options for us to consider. He removed his boots before coming in the house and was overall helpful and quick. The cost was a good value for 2 sprinkler zones.

Organo lawn is amazing! My lawn looks wayyyy better than last year. We started using organo lawn this summer and want a difference in the greenness of our lawn! When there trucks show they get right to work spraying our lawn making sure to reach every possible area. If I ask any questions to there staff they know the answer. It's nice knowing that what they are spraying is not harmful to humans or the environment. I would recommend organo lawn to anyone who is looking to improve there lawn!

We live next to an HOA that uses Organo Lawn, and sadly we are coughing and choking from the treatment. In this time of Covid-19, the added stress on our lungs is troubling. You state the product is natural, please tell us precisely what compounds you are using. It's a beautiful day ruined by chemicals in our air.

I was horrified yesterday to find that Organo was spraying the lawn at my apartment complex on West Pearl Street while my dog was on a line out in the yard. I did not order the service, it was set up by the HOA in my apartment complex so I went out to ask what he was spraying. Sadly this was happening during the peak of a stay-in-order for. Covid-19 and this company should not be doing non-essential work.
The local order follows the state order and the state order follows the federal order with conditions that says building maintenance is only allowed if it is critical. This type of service is not critical and the company was risking lives to make a small penny. This a very serious pandemic.

Our lawn seemed hopeless after several plumbing projects, a new leach field, and finally, removal of a massive, aging cottonwood that used to shade the whole yard. I was sure we would need to start from scratch. Now, just a couple of months later, our lawn looks better than ever after aeration, overseeding, proper watering and fertilizing, and organolawn products. All of the technicians are great but Cameron Mera, especially, has done great work!

Have used these guys for several years to blow out the sprinkler system at the end of each season. They have always been very professional, helpful and communicate clearly. They send you instructions on how to do both start ups and blow outs & the techs have always been upfront with me that I can easily do this myself. This year, Ryan, was my tech and extremely helpful; it is worth it to me to have someone look at the system each year (we did discover a crack in a small component).
I can start up my system each Spring but it is well worth a call to Organo Lawn for a blowout and quick check. I like that the company has really upped its game: email check ins & scheduling, polite and personable techs who show up ON TIME! and they ran my cc and sent me a receipt in about 24 hours. Highly reco!

Today Paul came out and did our sprinkler blow-out for the Winter. Totally on time, knew his stuff and he made it easy. In the past I've gone to companies that only do sprinkler work and it's always like a 3 or 4 week wait and it feels like they're doing you a favor with their services. I really like the fact that Organo-Lawn can handle this aspect of lawn care as well for a fair cost with easy scheduling and good communication.

We're starting our third year with Organo-Lawn. Our lawn was in bad shape when we contacted them. They were honest to say it might take more than one season. Now, our lawn is healthy and lush. We also value the e-mail tips on watering and maintenance. Today, Dave Pine came by to aerate and apply synergy. He was prompt, professional, courteous, and eager to answer my questions. We are very pleased.

I worked at Organo-Lawn for 2 years and really appreciated this company. The work was physical at times but nothing too difficult. The management was really great, especially Rick who was my field manager and Amy the office manager. I worked with Rick most and he was always really patient and taught me so many things. I learned so much about lawns, trees and soils and I still use these skills today.
I also learned about how to repair small engines. I can honestly say that I learned more useful information at Organo-Lawn than I have learned at any other job. Like I said the work was physical but not too crazy. At the end of the day I went home tired, but not completely exhausted. After a few weeks my body got in shape and I was basically being paid to stay fit.
Because I was moving around an eight hour work day flew by in what seemed like a few hours. I was getting paid to stay in great shape. After working at Organo-Lawn, I really do miss being outdoors and moving around. Working outside helped me sleep better at night, I had more energy at the end of the day compared to my desk job, I was happy, and overall I felt healthy.
Those are a few things that I really miss. Overall I can say that working at Organo-Lawn was educational, well organized, and fun. I enjoyed my co-workers and am still friends with some of them today. Looking back at my time at Organo-Lawn I can honestly say I enjoyed the work too.

Was very happy with the service provided. Rick Jancaterin came out and blew out and drained our sprinkler system. He gave lots of helpful advice on keeping our lawn healthy and looking great. Very friendly and professional. Will look forward to having Organolawn back in the spring for a full sprinkler audit. Thanks, Rick!

After much confusion, some from my end some from the company's end, Mark Paquette came to my house and explained what was going on with my lawn.all of which made sense! He also set the sprinkler control box and now I understand how it works. It will still be a long haul before my front yard turns around but I plan to continue with Organo-Lawn: many thanks to Mark!

Sean Morris did a great job deep root fertilizing my trees and bringing me grass seed to fill in some bare spots I have. He left a note letting me know all is well. I've found Organo lawn to be a friendly helpful company. Following their advice my lawn has returned to beautiful from a state of almost completely dead!

We had sprinkler system audit with Organo-Lawn. Our technician, David Pine arrived as scheduled and carefully went through our eight zones. However, the education that David provided me was worth much more than just the sprinkler audit. He clearly explained proper mowing height, how to check for proper watering and how to organize the zones and timing for maximum health of the lawn. I highly recommend Organo-Lawn and David Pine.

I had Organo-Lawn give me a proposal on a new home we purchased. Rick J came out and was very thorough, knowledgeable, and he spent a good deal of time listening to my concerns and sharing his knowledge and experience. His suggestions were practical and economical. I had his estimate shortly after we walked the property. The estimate was specific and included explanations of why he included what he did. I was impressed. I signed up.

I had Organo-lawn apply their weed barrier product on my lawn three times and the first two times went rather well as the weeds were significantly reduced. The third time they applied their product there were significant brown spots with dead grass. I called to have them come take a look and their rep was very helpful and respectful, and conducted a free sprinkler evaluation.
While there were a number of minor sprinkler issues, he stated that it was obvious they over-applied iron in those spots and offered to rake the dead grass and plant new grass seed. I was informed after this visit that they were still planning to charge me for the product application and I was obviously unhappy and in disbelief. After speaking with their admin person, I received a call from their owner (Brad) and he said that the brown spots in my grass were due to my watering regiment, and due to issues with my sprinkler.
He never took responsibility for the issues despite my multiple attempts to reference the conversation I had with their rep. While he offered to come out to do (ANOTHER) sprinkler evaluation, and stated he could make my lawn look great, I declined citing my complete lack of confidence in their ability to do good work, and take responsibility for their errors. Very negative experience - I would not use them again if they were offering a free year's worth of application.

We've been using them for several years now and they have done an excellent job! Most recently we had a sprinkler audit at our new house and Mark Paquette went the extra mile to help repair some of the older heads that were damaged with whatever parts he had on hand. That kind of service is why we stick with this team!

I asked Organo-Lawn to recommend services and provide an estimate for those services to get my lawn looking good again. But instead, they provided and charged me for a "consultation" which I never asked for. When I brought this up they would repeatedly deny that they made a mistake in offering a "consulation" or at least that there has been a misunderstanding about what I wanted and what they provided.
Now I see that they sent their invoice to collections. I have rarely if ever dealt with a business which shifts their own error onto the customer. The amount is small (about $ 90) but I think what they have done here is unethical. I should also add that when the appt was made, Amy, the person at the business office, said nothing about a "consultation" or that there would be a charge for it. Update (04/06/2017) I posted the above review on 03/21/2017 and the owner, Brad W., replied on 03/26 with a long sequence of falsehoods.
Let me set the record straight. Contrary to what he says in his reply, I ordered services in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and paid for them. Indeed I trusted the business enough at the time to let them have my credit card on file. So, his claims in his reply that he provided free estimates for the last six years and that I didn't order any services, are simply false.
His claim that they "would only come out to evaluate your lawn if you agreed to do a Disease Diagnosis / Lawn Consultation that cost $59.50" is also false. Moreover, I was NOT told that there would be this charge on the day I called for estimates of what services they recommend for 2016, so the owner's claim in this regard is also false. Trying to get Brad to acknowledge his error or misunderstanding has only led to his repeated assertions that he did nothing wrong and that I owe him for the "consultation" (which involved a guy coming out and saying the unraked leaves and the positioning of the sprinklers may have something to do with the grass not growing well). Had my credit card on file not expired he would have charged it in spite of my objection (he tried repeatedly in vain to do so). Based on his comment "once again we would like to go over what happened with you about your account" I called the business yesterday and was told Brad would call back in a few minutes (he was on the other line) but he didn't. He missed an opportunity to talk directly with me and be truthful. If he does that in the next couple of days, I may even revise this review in his favor.

I have used Organo-Lawn for 3 years, and I recommend it to my customers. I purchase the Ultimate Smarter package with Synergy in the spring and fall. I planted this lawn with a high-quality bluegrass sed mix in 2006. I water my lawn deeply every 4 days, and mow it once a week. I have a thick, green lawn with a very few weeds around the edges (nothing in the lawn itself). This is a great product, but you have to follow best practice watering to get the best results.

So far the only thing I can rate is their customer service! JT was on time (actually early), polite and knowledgable about the product. Amy, in the office, was very sweet and got my appointments for applications set up right away. I appreciate feeling like I, as the customer, matter. Also was offered a 5% discount for paying in full but also liked the idea of making affordable payments.

I used Organo-Lawn for several years, about 10 years back, and found they didn't do enough for my yards. I had them start early in the season with aerating, pre-emergent weed control, fertilizing throughout the summer, etc. After 4 years of using them, I stopped because the yards looked horrible, even after adjusting the watering system several times.
I ended up having to dig out the weeds by hand, because the pre-emergent stuff they put down never seemed to work. My lawns just never got better looking. My neighbors complained to our HOA and I got a letter saying, basically, I had to do something more about them. So I moved on to another company that did a much better job using Scotts Weed & Feed in the spring and fall and Revive inbetween. Plus, the new company did yard cleanup, brush trimming, grass mowing and trim services.
In just over a month of the switch, my yards really looked good again. I really wanted to like Organo-Lawn, as I'm all for organic everything, as much as I can be, but since it wasn't not working for me, I had to find a new solution.
